LBP2 would be interesting to me, but I still suck at and have no will power for designing good levels. I would get 3D Dot Game Heroes, but I'm short on cash at the moment since I'm trying to pay for new struts on the car and am not getting that much work right now. I also have to pay off Persona 3 Portable and MGS: Peacewalker. I thought I would pick up P3P since I never actually finished the PS2 version (I just couldn't stand not having control over all my characters and the AI was starting the bug the crap out of me). The PSP version fixes that (I think). I'm still on Disgaea 2. I haven't made much progress on that recently since I've kind of been in a funk, being incredibly bored since the forums are slow but still not playing any games for some reason. Good news is I finally got to a good power leveling area in D2, so I can go back to reincarnating and getting my characters up to around level 40. |

Wait 3D Dot Heroes is already out? And yeah, LBP 2 looks pretty neat. lol, and yeah The Last Guardian won't be released until the last day of the year or something though! Also, Steam comes out for Mac tomorrow, but there's like no new releases yet, haha. And I pre-ordered the new UFC game, god darnit I wanna play it now. ------- |

Yeah, I told you about it last time we played Battlefield online. Seems... eh, I'll wait to see more info. From the trailer of it, it just sounds like some rush mode basically. You capture enemy bases and move forward AKA sounds like Rush to me (at least at this point). I really, really, want to buy 3D Dot Heroes, and I totally could, but I need to save up some money at least until Summer. My friggin' dad gave ALL my last gen stuff to my nephews, and I was f****** going to sell them, goddamnit... But when I come back in the Summer I really need to find work though, because I'll be paying internet bills mostly on my own starting this weekend or so. The money in my bank account will help me for a bit, but it's very small since I don't currently have a job to add more to it on my own. I'm going to sell MW2 anyways and add it to my edge card and at least get some more credit. Actually, I could probably have enough to get 3D dot heroes!! ------- |

I've been flipping between Disgaea 2 and Resonance of Fate recently. I should be able to finish Disgaea 2 soon, since I've only got about one or two chapters left. I've finally got the hang of Resonance of Fate's leveling system and I've become decent with the battle system, so I'm starting to make good progress on that. Then I've got to get back to Infinite Space and Trauma Center before Peace Walker comes out. |

This excruciating waiting to save up for another PS3 is killing me...i have Resonance of Fate & 3D dot game heroes sitting there begging to be played!!! I have my character already to go for 3D DGH that i envisioned, i can't wait to spend the hours upon hours of making it. You can be entertained for so long with Agarest War & Sakura until you need some variety thrown into the mix. I like both games but grinding in Agarest is a chore & i'm a tad stuck on one part of Sakura that i wanna do on my own. My copy of Ikki Tousen Xcross Impact for the PSP came yesterday, exactly the same as the first game but there is a tag team feature as well as minor changes in gameplay & overall presentation. Instead of still pics of the girls being 'beaten', they are now animated :L!!! But that doesn't excite me too much.....*snicker*....oh i did get a cool nendroid figure of Kanu which was nice. Oh btw anyone see the new Kevin Butler promo with Modnation Racers that has Sony CEO Jack Trenton? I don't know about you guys but i think Sony is doing something right with the Kevin Butler campaign. Here is the vid if you guys haven't seen it yet.....there is a nice hint at the end for an upcoming exclusive. |

Yeah I haven't noticed you playing it at all whenever I'm online (PS3). The game's really awesome, but be careful about advancing to certain temples too quickly. I'm trying to make the most out of the game, I haven't personally made my own hero yet, I just edited the Samurai one they have (reminds me of Musha Gundam lol), but I might make Link soon. I dLed some online from Atlus' site, but yeah I'm taking my time with the game. Hopefully getting the platinum at the end, even though half of the game's trophies are hidden. -_____-" Are you planning on making a separate thread for 3D Dot Heroes, Izumo? Also, I'd LOVE to see this game on an HD TV. I'm curious into buying my own small one when I come back for the Summer quarter. And Modnations Racers, the demo comes out this week, so yeah! PSP version came out like two weeks ago, strangely enough. The event for PS Home has been buzzing for like ever, and also I get my PSN card soon, w00t, and UFC2010 in about two weeks! w00t! ------- |

@ DAngel-san Remember my PS3 encountered a problem so i can't use it for any of the games since it can't read them anymore. Still gonna keep it for downloadable games & stuff, planning to pick up a new one before the end of the month. So yeah the wait is agonizing! About 3D DGH, Atlus opened up some sort of 'Hall of Heroes' on the official site where players can upload their creations. There are some pretty cool characters made, i saw this megaman one which looked really good. Of course there are Link imitations, any character you can think of it will probably be made. It just takes some time & effort. Oh reading our post i guess you already know about it...:P I read about the trophies, it looks pretty hard to obtain some of them. By the looks of it the 'Spelunker' mode will be hell (die in one hit), as well as obtaining all of the bestiary. Which i heard can only be done by hitting a monster with a BOOK! Also upgrading some of the swords will take ALOT of money!!! I remember making a 3D DGH thread before, i may have to find it again cause it was pretty inactive. I guess not many are interested in the game other than a select few. |

@Izumo-san - Is Xcross Impact any good by the way? I was semi-interested in getting it (closet Ikki Tousen fan, but not a big fighting game fan) but I wasn't sure if it was worth the shipping and exchange rate costs (although, given a few weeks the game will probably be in bargain bins throughout Japan, as most games do in Japan). |

@ Jon-san If you like side scrolling beat'em ups like Final Fight or other games in that ilk than the Ikkitousen games may interest you. However you have to be a big fan of the series to really enjoy the game. There is alot of button mashing during the game cause of the 2 main buttons, attack & special (which like all games of this genre will deplete your health a little). Jumping is not used often only to escape from being mobbed. The new game like i said has a tag-team format where you can tag a member in & out of battle. The backup character will recover health over time. Of course since you can now use 2 characters the super moves are more flashier. You have to use this move to 'shred' clothing :P The game is simple but there is alot of characters to level up & challenge modes to do. It is bigger than the original but almost looks & plays the same. Btw Gentoku (girl with glasses, leader of Seito is still useless as ever....her 'dragon' side however is MUCH better!). I suggest you look at some youtube vids & stuff to see how you would like it. @ DAngel-san I will open it up again once i start playing the game myself cause this game as well as Resonance i need to catch up on. Next month or so i have Trinity Universe coming out so i have alot of playing to do in a short time. All the save data & updates can be transferred to another PS3 using an ethernet cable & following the instructions that the system gives you. It'll probably take some time to transfer it all which is pretty normal actually. If you wanna know how to do it, it can be seen on the system bar on the XMB. |

@Izumo-san - So wait, it's like a side scrolling fighter? Not simply a 1 on 1 arcade fighter? If that's the case then I may be more interested in it, because it actually involves a bit of gameplay. The only reason I'm not a big fan of fighting games is because there is usually nothing to do besides 1 on 1 fights for a few rounds. Games like Final Fight are a bit more action oriented. |

Yeah I'd never need to my PS3 that I bought off my friend is pretty good. I just noticed that when I first made an online account, only your trophies transfer over if you don't do it the other way Save datas would just vary depending on the size, but yeah I think it's quite normal. ------- |

Anybody read about all the hoopla that fans are having about something that Squenix president Wada said during an annual meeting? He stated that it is still undecided about whether FF vs 13 will be multiplat, that it will be discussed inhouse. Fans are upset that for years the game was stated to be a PS3 exclusive, & according to the director Nomura 'Only on PS3'. Now all this misleading info makes them feel upset. I don't blame them on this one cause i feel the same way. FF vs.13 was what i was hoping for in a 'real' FF game for a long time from what i heard about it. I really hope they don't do what they did with FF 13 cause i found these pics a few day ago on how the game looked like before & after. The 'before' was what the game looked like when a demo was released with the Blu-ray release of Advent Children a few years back in Japan. The 'after' is how the game looks like now of course after a certain announcement. The vast difference in pics are staggering! Here is the link : http://hatimaki.blog110.fc2.com/blog-entry-1280.html Some samples of the differences PS3 (before) PS3 (after) PS3 (before) PS3 (after) PS3 (before) PS3 (after) So what are your views about all this? If you wanna read about all this Squenix news visit N4G cause it is the hot topic for the last few days. |

@Izumo-san - I can't put my finger on it, but the gameplay art looks kinda off for some characters. Regardless, it does look more interesting than I thought (when I expected it to be a one-on-one fighter), I might look in to it whenever I can get the money. Disgaea 2 is now finished, good game, I don't see why the hardcore Disgaea fans dislike it in comparison to the others. I enjoyed the characters and story more than 1 and almost as much as 3. I didn't completely beat 1 (although I have it on DS now, so I will soon enough) but from what I've played I enjoy it the least, even though it is still fun. 3 was still the best for me in terms of characters, story and setting, but 2 comes really close. Still working on Resonance of Fate, managed to beat the chapter 3 boss last night, it was a complete pushover, which was strange considering it looked really dangerous and had strong attacks. I better get back to Infinite Space as my current portable title, now that Disgaea 2 is finally done. |

Red Dead Redemption is awesome :DDD Haven't done much of the story, but I love what I've played. Most of my time playing has been spent with Ray online, whether we're taking out gangs, terrorizing towns, or running astray of the law. Just yesterday we went hunting, taking down legions of bears and mountain lions. We also saw some foxes, bobcats, deer, snakes, and a bald Eagle :O |

@ Jon-san The character models do lack some detail but for the most part the dev. did enough to distinguish each one of them. I'm liking it, though i must say there are some pretty cheap moments in the game that can get frustrating. The challenge modes can get really difficult like most are in other games but some of the things you have to do are really really hard. The controls are basic however when a character runs they are too sensitive that i often miss/over shoot an enemy, you can walk but it is slow at the start until you get a speed power-up (running shoes). Another thing is there is one enemy in the story mode that runs across the screen without notice & if you are not paying attention he can juggle you in the air by running back & forth across the screen...i died so many times cause of this douchebag! On hard he can kill you in 3-4 hits!!! All the other enemies are easy it's this guy that is a pain! So yeah the game has cheep moments (like any other game) but since i'm a fan of the series i'm gonna stick with it. BTW how is Resonance coming along for you? I noticed when i play Agarest War that you have completed chapter 4. Man i miss using the PS3 for other stuff other than downloadable games. I have a week left until i can pick up a new system!!!! Arggghhhh!!! @ Maiku-san Is it true the PS3 version is sub-HD? I've been reading articles about how less than par the game looks on the system compared to the other guy. I'm just wondering if it is true and does it any way hamper the overall experience of RDR. ******************* It looks like Killzone 3 is a go according to all the leaks that have been surfacing around the net. First it was LBP2 getting announces & now Killzone 3...all this AAA titles being shown before E3. Makes you wonder what Sony has in store for the actual presentation. I wonder waht bombshell will be shown? |

@Izumo-san - Ah, I see. Still, if I can get a bit of money together I may go ahead and import it. Not understanding story or dialog isn't a big deal because there isn't a lot to the story of the series as far as I'm concerned. Resonance of Fate is going pretty well. I've been mostly sticking to Infinite Space for the past few days, but I go back to RoF every now and then. I've got the hang of things now, so I'm doing much better in battles and boss fights don't take me three or four tries to beat anymore. I got through chapter 4 is probably less than 1 hour actually, mainly because I had already acquired the items needed to complete side quests and the story quest had me go straight to a dungeon after a cut scene, so I didn't have to do any running around. A word of caution though, unless you've already managed to do it, but the story mission of chapter 3 or 4 is an escort mission, so be prepared for that. I managed to do it on the first try, but only barely, and I still got incredibly frustrated. I think my main problem earlier on in the game was the fact that I didn't figure out that your level is composed of all of weapon levels, so I spent a lot of time leveling up each different form of weapon for each character and now I'm around level 20-21. Money has not been a problem for quite some time as well, so I've managed to get the 100k pistol and have all of the best parts available to me at the moment. At the moment I'm working on the Arena, because they have an EXP Trainer item that I have to get my hands on as soon as possible. |
