We must wait for the judge's results for voting!! Right? (sorry I can't translate this) ¿Están bien esos votos? A mà no me parece justo que se tomen en consideración tantos votos de usuarios registrados el mismo dÃa del que votaron y solo tengan un mensaje, eso significa que entraron solo para votar. ¿Es una forma válida? Tal vez los concursantes han comentado a amigos o familia, y esta bien que muestren su apoyo, y por eso se han registrado al foro. Sin embargo yo pensaba que cuando dicen elegidos por los Gendounians, se refieren a gente que sabe bien del concurso, que ha participado o que solamente quiere emitir un comentario con respecto de los concursantes, es decir que sigue eventualmente el concurso. Yo creo que si se permite ese tipo de cosas, los demás concursantes que faltan podrÃan seguir este ejemplo. Claro que esto lo ven los responsables del concurso, solo estoy emitiendo un comentario que me parece tergiversa la idea del concurso de canto.

Wow, group 6 has really good songs, I really liked Magnet,by Sakura and God Knows by Aiko, wait my turn to vote : ) Going back to what is mentioned up there, I agree that, votes by recently-created accounts, are not fair at all. If this starts to be used for all the contestants, then I feel that it will lose any credibility when we vote for our favorite Gendou Idol each round. I think that it would be better to cancel all the votes made by recently-created accounts, regardless if they were for Zero or Naia. And I also think that only accounts that have some minimun "time seniority" should be allow to vote to avoid this in the future. All the effort the judges make to organize this Contest doesn't deserve this kind of situations. Nevertheless, it's just my opinion, I will respect any final decision made by the judges.

I APPRECIATE YOUR OPINIONS :D I WILL TAKE THIS SITUATION IN CONSIDERATION FOR SEMIFINALS. BECAUSE SADLY WE ARE IN GROUP 6 ALREADY AND CHANGING THE RULES ONLY FOR THE GROUPS THAT ARE MISSING IS A BIT UNFAIR. I WILL see about adding A NEW RULE FOR GENDOU IDOL 5, THAT ONLY ACCOUNTS WITH A CERTAIN MINIMUM OF POSTS (and also depending on the time created) CAN VOTE :D |

I agree..this is kinda unfair.. but as pame said that will be applied to semifinals.. but i think Pame should announce it now in order to make people know this before the final rounds begin. well for this round, im ready to vote too.

GROUP 6 JUDGING RESULTS: JUDGE JOSH Kukku Song Selection: 3 - For the record... I just woke up. Pame is holding a gun to the back of my head and making me do this now.... I guess it's my fault for not doing this already. This song is too effing cute... I hate you.. No... I don't hate you. It's very fitting in the sense of tone and energy and whatnot but it's a bit too high for at certain points. Technique: 2 - You go off key a lot. Just letting you know. You can sing from your diaphragm but you don't do it for the entire performance. Why? Interpretation: 4 - I hate you so much right now, you have no idea... You're like a fluffy pink hamster... I hope you're happy.... I'd give you a 5 but your dynamic lacks due to the non-use of your diaphragm. Personal Appreciation: 2 - I hate cute things in the morning... Wait... No, that's absolutely true. Have two. One for trying and one for... The excitement factor. Overall Score: 11 Sakura Song Selection: 2 - I'm being either blunt or strange this morning... You get blunt. My apologies. You're not confident enough for this song. It's within your range, but you're not putting it all out there. Technique: 3 - You stick on key and your harmonies are on point. I do appreciate on point harmonies. You really need to open up and stop choking everything up in your through, however... Interpretation: 2 - Sing out! Do it! Now! You have a very lovely, soothing voice but sometimes you need to be demanding, rather than soothing. Try yelling notes into a pillow... Personal Appreciation: 3 - Despite my sleepless words, I think you did pretty nicely. I'd just like to hear you open up, that's all. You sound very shy when you sing and that usually doesn't work well for a performance. Overall Score: 10 Aiko Song Selection: 2 - This is a tough song to pull off. You be a strong singer and angry sounding and all that fun stuff... It's in your range but you don't have core to support it. Technique: 1 - Very shaky. You should work on holding notes out for longer. It seems as though you lose anything that you try and hold out. There's an exercise where you take in four sips of air on a four count and then slowly push the air out of your teeth to a steady beat. When you sip the air in, you must make your stomach expands. Interpretation: 0 - Nope... Work on your power! No power no points... Personal Appreciation:: 1 - You get one for trying.Overall Score: 4 Keltzy Song Selection: 3 - It's in your range and fits your vocal timber. Technique: 3 - The microphone pops! You should get that checked... Or stop blowing into the microphone when you sing. Aside from that, you stick on key and have a frighteningly powerful vibrato. Ooh.. You go flat a few times. That's not cool. Interpretation: 4 - You scared me... Honestly you did. Personal Appreciation: 3 - Exra points for scaring me. I'm not an easy target. You lured me off guard. I'm watching you... *Evil Glare* Overall Score: 13 Riyu-Ashley Song Selection: 4 - Yes! Good choice.. Technique: 3 - You stick on key and employ some nice vocal subtleties and have power to boot. You need to work on your mic control, however.... Interpretation: 3 - You're all volume and very little emotion. This leads you to sounding a bit robotic as you sing. Your volume changes are very drastic. Try to exercise a bit less dynamic... That, and step away from the mic when you get loud. The buzzing isn't nice. Personal Appreciation: 3 - You have a nice voice... You just have to learn how to control that power of your cannon. Overall Score: 13 Ayu Song Selection: 1 - It's within your range but wasn't a very good choice on your part. I shall explain why below. Technique: 1 - You go off key a lot. Interpretation: 1 - You lack power. I can't say that it's because you don't sing from your diaphragm... You do at times and you don't at times. But it's mainly the slurring that you do while singing. You almost sound distressed or drunk during this performance. Personal Appreciation: 1 - You get one for trying. Overall Score: 4 JUDGE PICK: KELTZY AND RIYU-ASHLEY JUDGE CHARLOTTE [Kukku] 11/20 Song selection: 2 Technique: 3 Interpretation: 3 Personal Appreciation: 3 Comment: This song doesn't have much range to it, so it wasn't very challenging. I think you should've chosen something that showcased your voice a little more. I know that the flu played into it, a little, though. I felt that you were flat a couple of times, so just pay really close attention to the middle of the phrases because that's where I noticed it the most. Great job and your picture was too cute! [Sakura] 14/20 Song selection: 4 Technique: 3 Interpretation: 3 Personal Appreciation: 4 Comment: It seems like you ran out of breath a few times, so I would work on strengthening your breath support. This song was really challenging and you did a pretty good job of it. I also really appreciated your artwork and commentary. [Aiko] 9/10 Song selection: 2 Technique: 2 Interpretation: 2 Personal Appreciation: 3 Comment: This is one of my favorite songs and I know it's really hard, but you really didn't get on the high notes, at all. I would pick a lower song next time, because other than that you have good tonality. [Keltzy] 15/20 Song selection: 4 Technique: 3 Interpretation: 4 Personal Appreciation: 4 Comment: I really, really love this song. I liked the personal styles you added to the song, as opposed to sounding exactly like the original singer. You were a little flat on some of the high notes but I think it's because you were trying too hard. I think if you just eased up a little bit and let your voice do its thing, you would sound simply fantastic. [Riyu-Ashley] 13/20 Song selection: 3 Technique: 3 Interpretation: 3 Personal Appreciation: 4 Comment: You have a really great and powerful voice, but I just didn't feel like this was the song for you. It's a pretty mellow song and your voice seems to be a little too much for it, even though you really do have a fantastic voice. [Ayu] 10/20 Song selection: 2 Technique: 3 Interpretation: 2 Personal Appreciation: 3 Comment: I really could've used more enthusiasm and more power from you in this song. This is real "rocker" kind of song, and I just didn't get that emotion from you. I really love Haruhi, and I totally love the music from it, so I can understand the appeal, but I think maybe a different song would've been a better choice for you. JUDGE PICK: KELTZY JUDGE BENNY Kukku Song Selection: 2 Technique:2.5 Interpretation:2.5 Personal Appreciation:2.5 Comment: Your song was not good for this competition. At some point I was ready to pull my hair out of my head because the song was too much to handle. You need to work on your technique and intonation. You sound very very girly, which is cute but not proper. Sakura Song Selection:3 Technique:3 Interpretation:3 Personal Appreciation:3 Comment: Don't hold back your voice too often, especially in the chorus. You go flat at the end of your notes, be careful. Aiko Song Selection:2 Technique:2 Interpretation:2 Personal Appreciation:2 Comment: Is this song very popular? I have heard it a lot in the contest! Watch your intonation. In the chorus it was very noticeable, I guess that was because you could not reach the note. So, make sure you choose a song that is good for your voice and pitch. Keltzy Song Selection:3.5 Technique:3.5 Interpretation:3.5 Personal Appreciation:4 Total: 14.5 Comment: I like your voice, you have a lot of potential but you are holding back. Be more confident, believe in yourself, let your voice go and it will sound better. Riyu-Ashley Song Selection:3.5 Technique:4 Interpretation:3.8 Personal Appreciation:4 total: 15.4 Comment: I know your mic does not help you, but from what I hear you are on pitch most of the time, you interpret well. You showed me emotions and I enjoy the performance. Good job. Ayu Song Selection:2 Technique:2 Interpretation:2 Personal Appreciation:2 Comment: You need a lot of work. Just keep practicing. JUDGE PICK: RIYU-ASHLEY JUDGE PAME Kukku Song Selection:2 Technique: 2.5 Interpretation: 4 Personal Appreciation:3 Comment: You have a very cute voice :) and the song is also cute but not challenging and showing great effort. You go flat so watch that! You had good energy though ^-^ Sakura Song Selection:3 Technique:3 Interpretation: 3.5 Personal Appreciation: 3 Comment: I like your voice, you have lots of potential. Just practice your breathing because you tend to run out of air. Also…sing with confidence! You are really holding back, so do not be afraid to let your voice out. Either way…I’ll give you my scores, but you are disqualified :( The song did not fit your voice. You did not reach the high notes and you tried to do a lower note but it came out off. @Gaia Calm down! It won't be the end of the world. >_< I mean, I know I'm probably not moving on to semis, I know that my entry wasn't as good as it could have been, but despite that, I still turned in what I had because I had a goal in mind. My goal was to improve and do better than I did last season. Whether we move or not we move on to semis (or for the semi-finalists, finals), the judges have given us incredible feedback to help us improve and do better next season. After my group's judge results back in Season 3, I was disappointed in myself. It was a song I had sung before in front of an audience, but it (for the lack of a better word at the moment) sucked. My poor performance nagged at me for at least half an hour afterward. I was out of the contest; I couldn't change then. I'm sure that I will be out of the contest; I hope that I have a better shot, but with the quality of the other singers around me, I have my doubts. If I'm out, I'm out again, but there are still things I can do. My primary contribution to the contest is counting up the votes. I don't know how many votes Pame gets outside of the forum, but the least I can do for her and the other judges is to post a vote count, so she doesn't have to pore over the next page or so counting up the votes herself. Even if people vote after I post my poll, at least she can just add up whatever votes occur afterward to the count I posted. To summarize the point I failed to make, quit worrying that you'll do poorly because even if you do, you'll have the judges' comments to help you do better next season. @Ruscion While it'd be nice if we could, I think that would defeat the purpose of a uniform deadline for all participants.  |
