I'm starting to like Nagisa more and more now, she isn't as clumsy as before. Not only that, she's pretty responsible and caring, and she does sound different in this episode. Her seiyu's darn good. xP It's so adorable when she blushes. :D I think it's funny how Nagisa tries to be responsible for Tomoya's actions by dragging him around..."don't run away, make sure you'll following me"...LOL! I think we're in both, but it was mainly Tomoya's in this episode. The game does seem a bit content packed, so I wouldn't be surprised that they didn't manage to fit everything into 24 episodes. maybe 30 or 35 would've been better. Haha, DA, among many others, is waiting impatiently for Suzumiya Haruhi second. I hope the ending of this one will be better, the last one of the other one was kinda filler-ish with showing Yuki reading a book with dialogue outside the door for like, 10 minutes. o_O I absolutely loved episode 11 though. Sorry, getting off topic. >.< |

@ DAngel-san & Suzaku-san I may be the only person but even though i did enjoy Suzumiya i'm not a HUGE fan of it like alot of people are. Honestly i don't really understand the big deal about the series. No offence to all the fans of it...even like i said i liked it it wasn't an anime that i will remember for a long time. Maybe cause it wasn't a sappy lovey dovey series...those are the ones i tend to follow heartedly. It's great that everyone is anticipating the new series...& i'll probably watch it as well...but not to the extent as everyone else will be. ******************************* Anyways sorry for going off-topic there. Back to the thread...i downloaded the RAW version of the CLANNAD movie last night & i must say it is actually pretty good. I'll talk more about it later. I also saw episode 20 as well last night. MOVIE sypnosis - Some may find the animation below the standard of KyoAni's version....Nagisa's dad looks different in the movie! However if you look past the animation there is a deep storyline in it. As many know the movie mostly deals with Nagisa's arc in the game...so some other characters get very little screentime in the movie. - The main focus is on Nagisa & her relationship with Tomoya (who's seiyuu in the movie sounds much younger than he does in the TV series). From their first meeting at the hill, the re-opening of the theatre club, Nagisa's sickness, Tomoyo helping out...the 'After Story' & finally....welll you'll see that part...T__T! - There's a new Dango song as well...different from the TV series but still cute...the scene when Nagisa sings in was adorable. - The movie is 95 minutes long so it manages to fit quite abit of material in it. The OST is quite good as well...probably not as masterful as the original game music but it still brings up the emotional aspect. - I highly enjoyed this movie maybe cause i'm such a big fan of CLANNAD in general...the AIR movie which was made by the same studio wasn't as good as the TV series. Though this is not as good as the TV series as well it is a better re-telling than the AIR movie. If you are a fan of Nagisa you'll like this movie for the most part. - I won't spoil it for anyone....all i can say it is one of the most enjoyable & emotional anime movies i've seen in a long time. Worth every minute of it. Again look past the animation & you'll find a beautiful piece of work...worthy of the CLANNAD name. - I get my DVD copy in a few days to see the extras packaged so i'll post what the extras are once i get it. **Watch with caution!!!...does contain spoilers that may be in the TV series!!! Episode 20 sypnosis - The story about the Furukawa family is revealed by the dad in this episode...so the ones who are wondering why Nagisa feels the urge to apologize to her parents you'll know why here. - The other character barely have any part here...Yukine is shown again & that scene with Sunohara was pretty amusing. Maybe i should try that trick they showed...O_O...maybe not. - The Furukawa family are the main focus in the episode...& one scene shown will have better meaning in the 'After Story'...a hint in on the very first page of this thread. Look for a hugging scene & snow. - Nagisa is practicing for the play & she tells Tomoya the idea of it which makes him react. - The other world makes another appearance....pay close attention to that scene....again it is foreshadowing for the 'After Story' & the siginificance of it. - Baseball!!!!...that entire scene is so adorable you have to see it to see the beauty of it! A relationship is about to get VERY serious now!  |

@ Izumo: I'm not an incredibly huge fan of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu either. I thought it would be AMAZING (judging from all the great reviews about it), like my favorite anime or something, but it's just slightly above normal. The plot and storyline is great, but it could've been executed better. I have a feeling the second season will be better though. And yes, I kinda wished there was more love stuff in it, maybe inserted in "convenient situations". :P But then, too much romance isn't the type for this series. That kiss was lame though. LOL I wanna watch the movie now. >_< I don't think I'll get to it anytime soon though. And, dLing ep. 20 right now, I can't wait to see it! The series is almost over. ;_; I'll post my thoughts about it after I watch it. EDIT: Finished it just now! I'm loving each episode more and more now. <33 I finally get the robot scene. WOOT. I loved the love charm scene. Haha, Fuko showed up before Nagisa, that was funny. XD Fuko = cuteness x infinity Sunohara's actually a really sensible person. He seems so different when he speaks seriously. The Furukawa's past is quite sad, too. I was surprised when I heard it. This episode was so cute though, esp. the baseball scene at the end. <33 I love it when they blush, makes me wanna squeeze them. X3 Akio and Sanae are so funny, LOL. Now, it seems so happy though...TOO happy. I guess they're trying to show all the happiness that there possibly could be, and then put in the final scene... |

Quick note about Suzumiya, there are three orders to watch it, Suzaku-chan. I've read Airing order is how the normal anime order for any anime, should be. It might make more sense to you then, but who knows... Also, I hope there's a relationship between Haruhi and Kyon, but many changes are going to be made. Now, back onto Clannad and Nagisa. <333 Episode 20 was great. The entire anime made me emotionally sensitive and vulnerable, because each and every part, one after another was executed to the extent that happiness would strike you autmoattically, at least for me. I love the Furukawa family and the house hold is quite warm, joyful, and exciting unlike Shinichiro's household (tru~t). They have the kindof family where you'd give up anything in the world for, like money or anything like that. I wish my family was like that, but I love my family anyways. ;P The sad part though was when we saw that flashback with Nagisa ten years ago. It was actually quite scary seeing someone that young like that, especially the cute and lovely Nagisa now. Fuko had another short appearance in the episode. I'm not quite sure she knows what a zombie is, lol. No zombie is as cute as her though, that's for sure. ^_~` Nagisa has been my number one since the beginning. Her mom is to die for, adorable as ever, and her father is tough, funny, and inspiring, lol. Imagine me turning out to be like him one day if I go to Japan and start some family there (I wish...). Someone turned down Sanae-san's bread again, haha and Akio-san had a ton of funny moments in this particular episode. The baseball scene in the ending was really nice. I love how Akio hit a nice double, then Sanae-san fell in love. Also to mention real quick, their relationship is like those in high school or something. CUTE!! =^-^= Then when Tomoya did the same thing, and Akio-san said the same thing but to Nagisa, she said "Ye--". That moment was the best! So much blushing to give you a heart attack. It's too much cuteness to handle in two minutes. Then Akio-san flips out. rofl.

wow! I found this thread kinda lost in the crowd :P... but finally I did I've been watching (secretly XD) Clannad until ep. 19 so far, it's so great. I gotta say this is one of my favorite anime series so far, it's just... wow. As Suzaku might know already (lol... but true) I already picked my best scene from the entire series and that's Kyou crying... it was soo... OMG so real that I almost felt it, cannot describe it but in my opinion is one of the most beautiful scenes on Clannad (don't get me wrong, I don't like to see girls crying, of course >_<) but just how all that repressed feeling had to come out someway. OZZZZ, for ep 21 I'll try to catch it up quickly and, if I have time, see the 20 first hehehe, wish me luck!   |

@ Kei-kun-san :P Welcome back!!! Nice to see you here in the thread. Also no worries i do that all the time. Even though i've seen series that have threads here i don't often post there. I mainly just enjoy the series instead of discussing about it.... Well as you know the series is winding down to the end....however i believe that after the new Suzumiya series KyotoAni will conclude the CLANNAD storyline by doing the 'After Story' which explains what happens to Tomoya, Nagisa, & the rest of the gang after they graduate from school. The series that is showing now is the 'School Life" of the game & sort of like an introduction to all the characters and sets the stage for the After Story. This part of the game is where the majority of the emotion & beauty will take place. There is alot of pain & anguish during this part. You'll understand what the Other World is all about, how Tomoya is no different than his father, what the meaning of family really is about to Tomoya.....alot of stuff happen here. So i'm disappointed that we have to wait for the series to really conclude but seeing that KyotoAni didn't cram everything into 24 episodes i'm relieved & glad to see that another 'season' will be made. ******************************************** I got my shipment on Monday which i was ecstatic to see. I recieved my Special Editon of the CLANNAD movie. The contents were a nice box to hold the DVD, a drama CD, a special DVD with trailers,commercials & extra footage from the movie. I can upload some of the contents of the special DVD so everyone can get a taste of the movie. I also finished seeing the subtitled version which i will keep as well. Although i already knew what was happening it was still nice to see it subbed. Again i highly recommend everyone who likes CLANNAD to see the movie. It is much better done than the AIR movie....it is emotional & full of heart. The last scene was beautiful...although Nagisa fans may not like it...T__T!!! Look past the animation...sure it is not KyotoAni standards but it is still pretty to look at. The music is well done (not as masterful as the OST) but still great! |

@ captaincrunchy-san So you agree also that this time they did a better job on this movie than they did with the AIR movie too eh? It was a little sad to see not all the characters had screentime...Kotomi barely did anything in the movie & Fuko was no where to be seen...even Ryou was missing. They didn't rush too much except near the end when they just showed still scenes of Nagisa graduating school. They jumped into the 'After Story' arc pretty quick at the end. All in all like i said it was a beautiful movie & one not to be missed. ******************************** As mentioned earlier there is another Dango song....i read that the collectors edition has a CD with this song sung by the seiyuu's as in the movie...(btw those scenes were so awesome...love Tomoya's early reaction to it)...anyways here is the OST version of the song...pretty cute eh? |

Seriously, there's gonna be the After Story season? YESSSS... That means that watching a better Suzumiya season (hopefully), I'll get to continue my CLANNAD obsession. XD And I really need to see that movie...sad to hear that the adorable Fuko-chan didn't show up much. :( Did she even show up for a few seconds? And that dango song...LOL!! It's so funny, it made me laugh. XD They sang it so seriously~ haha. |

Unfortunately Fuko-chan doesn't even show up for a cameo appearance at all....although her sister Kouko plays a prominent role in the movie. The After Story season is only speculation on my part...however if you think about it there has to be another season to wrap up the story. There are some torrents available with the sub version of the film....i downloaded EnA's version which is good enough for me. I'm currently in the process of uploading the ripped special edition DVD that was included with the movie DVD i recieved. It is almost 200Mb even when i compressed it so it'll take some time. I'll try to have it up as soon as i can... |

@ DAngel-san Actually my Bday was on Saturday but thanks for the wishes ^__^!!!! Anyways finally my upload was complete so here is the special edition tokuten DVD that was included with the movie. It is 25 mins long & the first part of the disc is part of the movie preview disc that was released before the movie was released. In RAW format so no subs....gomen. IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!! There is some spoilers in the DVD that may be included in the TV series (ala Nagisa's play)...as well as another vital aspect of the storyline....Nagisa fans beware. Enjoy!!! it'll give you a taste of the movie. |

i heard that the anime series will end by leaving the story hanging and you have to see the movie to see the ending. i couldnt wait for the series to be released so i just watched the movie this morning. I havent cried in a while since Air. but also im soo happy it was a good ending like Kanon. it was so funny when tomoya was stayin over nagisa house and akio was like do u want sake? "Yes" *smack in the head*, Do you want a cigarette? Ill have one *slams a pot on his head* Fufufufu XD. sorry i wont spoil anymore than that. i loved the movie though. I hope they continue to make awesome anime and then the movie versions. I might go and buy the dvd now if they had subtitles on it and i dont have a region 2 player so im sad for downloading it.. i might have to watch 3 or 4 more times cause i like it but i probably wont cry again.  |

just finish the movie too, okazaki personality is a bit diff in the start, it quite bother me a bit and damn they only show half of chiisana tenohira, overal its not bad for 1.5hr movie considering Clannad story is so long i guess the best way to enjoy this series is to watch the movie first, the series and then play the game, just like Air

@ Banzai-san The movie ending is just one of the possible endings that you can get in the game. The way it went is just like playing the game normally without doing any of the side stuff (collecting light orbs)...in simple terms it is the normal ending...but on the bad side of normal. At the end when Tomoya & Ushio finally meet...there are more things that happens afterwards...some good some not so good. Since the TV series is abruptly coming to an end without doing any of the 'After Story' stuff i assume the ending of the movie is a possible ending , than again KyotoAni will eventually finish the CLANNAD story by animating the After Story and giving us CLANNAD's TRUE ending....*hint* Ushio running through the fields. However don't expect to see that happen anytime soon. You can  watch region 2 (or any other region) by configuring your PC or laptop configurations. That's what i do when i buy japanese DVD's from cdjapan.@ Raiz-san For those who have played the game for me the best way to enjoy CLANNAD is the game, then the TV series, then the movie.. For those who haven't played the game...watch the TV series , then the movie to get an idea of what may happen. Remember the movie is just an alternate version of the series...a possible ending that one may see. If they want to make the 'After Story' really good...incorporate the ending in the movie but make it so that Tomoya discovers what is happening (the alternate world will be key here) & make thing right by collecting the orbs. *********************************** Anyways saw episode 21.....series almost done for now.... - The beginning scene was absolutely crazy....while watching i was trying to say what they were saying...that is just nuts. Applause to the seiyuu's for being able to keep in sync. - Nagisa's play is almost upon us....however the end scene will cause some problems. However if you saw the movie you'll know the motivation for Nagisa to keep going. - There was some interesting fan-service when the girls were doing there...ummm...excercise....hmmm....Ryou pretty well-endowed there :L - Tomoyo looks adorable....you'll see....that's why i find girls who wear those accesories cute. - Tomoyo also is kinda glad that Nagisa was the girl of choice....that scene was very sweet...though there were some jealous eyes from the others.... - listen to Kage Futatsu cause you'll be hearing that song very soon.. |

i tought epsd 23 gonna be the final episode, hell i really hope they gonna end it well btw they will release clannad on PSP! YAY for psp user! just hope they don't cancel it

@ Raiz-san The current TV series will end at episode 23 but when the last DVD is released there will be an OVA included with it. This OVA is episode 24...like i said earlier i figure this to be a recap episode as well as an intro (some trailers or previews) of the hopefully next season which is the 'After Story'. Again this is all speculation on my part but if i was running things this is how i will go about it. A PSP version eh?...i'm not sure if i should pick that one up since i already have 2 versions for the PC....the very first release in 2004 (with the voice patch) & the Full Voice released a few weeks ago. So having a PSP version is kinda unnecessary but playing CLANNAD on the go is inticing. |

the only reason i will play the psp version is because im running out of disk space for my PC i also hope there will be translator for it, just like suzumiya haruhi no yakusoku, though even if there is 1 we still need to wait so within 2 weeks, 3 anime series im currently watching will be finished...
