A DragonBall Z movie would not make any sense. It would have to either give a 30-minute story leading up to what happens in the actual movie, or it would have to play hopscotch with the original storyline. It would be like a brand new vacuum cleaner: it would really suck. When it goes to DVD, it would need Uwe Boll saying that it has to be the worst movie ever. (reference BloodRayne) |

Here's a more recent article with a better (not fake) mention of cast members. There was already a live action movie made. This is a new production. As for Special Effects being expensive... not anymore. You used to practically need a mainframe to do them, now, FX can be done off a regular pc. Miniature work (or Bigature - like the stuff in LotR) is still expensive, but I doubt that DBZ will need that kind of stuff. |

Oh god, it's like evil incarnate. Chow Yun Fat as Master Roshi? Just because Master Roshi is a martial artist does not mean you automatically contact Jakie Chan or Chow Yun Fat. What is with Chatwin's hair? Is that a pathetic attempt at DBZ hair? It looks like he just got out of bed and didn't bother combing it. I've got nothin on Yamcha, I don't really know what I can say about him. Bulma....eh, could have been worse I guess. At least they didn't attempt her teal-ish hair, I can only imagine what that would look like. I knew this was going to suck, but man, I'm seriously not looking forward to this release date. I thought I would at least be able to get a laugh at the movie (no laughing With it, laughing At it), but this is already looking too terrible. |

chatwin is from the jacky chan movie 'the forbidden kingdom' or nearest to it right? with jacky chan and jet li? mah mah - all threads really curse this movie, including myself. u know the street fighter movie, and even those marvel characters, i think spiderman 3 for me i find it corny already - but money talks here - and we cannot do anything about it. (but in the end we find ourselves watching it and cringing our teeth). i find it ok to have a live action movie - BUT - japanese version only. you know how they make live action movies like cutie honey, initial d (chin/jap), etc.get my drift? even the characters does not look like the original anime one, im sure they would make a good storyline, and good actors, which makes it worth watching. Hollywood now sucks hard when making movies nowadays. and they do not have any good writers/directors anymore - no more imagination, thats why Stevie put another Indiana Jones movie. in the end, those who commented that 'it sucks', im sure they will watch it or torrent it and kept the movie in their HD. |

DBZ that will become a live action. That kinda sucks. Its worse than Negima Live Action. It's definitely fake. I also seen those scenes from Transformers.

@ Sumner ,,V, ^-^ ,V,,-san The unfortunate news is that it is very very real. It is scheduled for an April 2009 release. The script is written by James Wong...the same guy that did the "Final Destination" flicks, as well as X-Files, the Jet Li crap movie "the One" are some of his notable works. Personally i think he's an average screenwriter, sure the first 'Final Destination' movie was good but it sucked after that. Hey..i enjoyed the Negima Live Action. It wasn't to be taken seriously & more of a series to be taken lightly. This version of DBZ the creators are taken this seriously so it is gonna be another 'Mortal Kombat'...no not the first one which was pretty good....i mean the 2nd one XP @ ricci-san Justin Chatwin most notable movie role is from War of the Worlds as Tom Cruise's oldest son Robbie. His last movie role was in "The Invisible" a 2007 movie as the main character. Besides that he mainly has done TV roles. Before making any judgements seeing the trailer will tell what/how the movie will turn out. Of course sometimes trailers tell false things about a movie (again MK2). |

Oh jesus, f*** this f***ing bull****! Nothing else to say, but this is a damn insult to such a classic Japanese series. If anyone goes to see this, well... *keeps comments to self* I only expect people who do see this, only to go to see how horrible it really is. :/ "May cause incredible swearing, bleeding eyes and uncontrollable urge to kill director and writer ", yes and all of the ABOVE! I wish everyone involved in this are the victims in Saw V. t(-_-t) ------- |

Ummmm...can anyone tell me what the *BLEEP* does this have to do with Dragonball? Anyone? I can see nothing remotely similar to the series at all. Why is Bulma packing heat & i don't mean her chest.... I do agree that Piccolo is sort of reasonable but everyone else is how should i say it mildly....god awful. A big budget movie so of course you have to put a fancy new car in the movie...WHAT!!! This is gonna set the anime/manga industry back trying to recover from this potential (i'm being generous) flop. God have mercy on our souls!!! |

To be honest I'm not too anxious about this movie, I don't expect too much from it, but I will watch it for sure... masochism? I guess XDD I agree with Dangel-san this is nonsense, why in the world would they kill such a great series like Dragonball that way?... what a shame, but oh well... we live in this crazy world X__x BTW, Hitler doesn't like it either XDDD ROFL!!!... Sorry in advance for all the swearing. But I guess it's a natural reaction XDDD. |
