Since I'm dropping out of my college this quarter, I'm not sure if I can hook up my much faster internet at home, though I should be able to.
Honestly, it's whatever you want, I'm still getting it the day it comes out which is next Tuesday!!!!

P.S. If you saw new footage of Naruto, it LOOKS INSANELY AMAZING!!!!!

So our school sent out progress reports today, I got 5 A's and 1 A+ so my parents are probably going to let me get a game of my choice for my awesome grades. Thing is, there are TONS of games I want right now. These are my three options:

-BlazBlue Continuum Shift (i've been wanting it and Maiku's been wanting e to get it; i wont have to wate for a release, it's already out)

-Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (once again, I've been wanting to get it but DA also wants me to get it; i'll have to wait for the release; I don't know when)

-Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes (I've been wanting this game for a LONG time. Since before i got my PS3 even, it releases in 5 days for $40 dollars, rather than the 60 for NSUNS)

There are also games like Little Big Planet and White Knight Chronicles. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't wanna sound like a loser asking, but, do you mind if I can have it? Since you won't be using it?
It'd be great I can play online with my one friend. Did you already redeem it through the site?
Or can you just do it right in PSN right away, cause I read somewhere online that you needed to redeem it through the site first and they mail you the beta key.

If you wanna keep it yourself, then that's perfectly acceptable as well. Did you pre-order the game to get it?

@DA - I have one. I had planned on using it, but I think it would be a waste if I did since:

A. I hated the first Assassins Creed. Enough to make me trade it in (which I almost never do, even for games I didn't really like).

B. I have Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Atelier Rorona to finish this month before GT5 hits next month, which will use up pretty much all my free gaming time.

and C. I'll probably be lazy about it and not bother downloading it until it's too late.

Does anyone have AcB beta code that they don't want? I'm trying to get one.
I've seen videos of it online, it looks awesome, but I wanna try it before the beta expires.

Until Narutimate Shippuden Storm 2 comes out, I have nothing to do since I'm not going to class.

I also made an Ubisoft account, not sure if I'll still get a Beta key though.

There is going to be a Tales of the Abyss port on 3DS!
I bet its not going to come to America :(

My list of games I want for the 3DS keeps getting bigger and bigger,
and unfortunately I won't be able to get everything all of them ; w;

It'll be out in no time, like three or so weeks? Might invest in a mic/another controller by then if I can find them for cheap.
But yeah I'll wait for you, and everyone else, lol. It's gonna be the best.

If anyone knows some good sources, please link. ^^'

Lol that sucks DA :(
Either way I won't be playing it till November.

3DS will be released in Japan on February 26th with a price point of 25000 yen.
I don't think an NA release by March 31st seems likely anymore D:
SO excitedddddddd.

I agree with a lot of what Jon said about Valkyria Chronicles in regards to the
changes between Ps3 and PSP. My biggest problem is the canvas effects have been
greatly diminished :( And the super-anime-ified characters are a little less
appealing than Squad 7.

I know my family is going to be getting 3 copies of Disgaea 4 the day it comes out,
and we'll without a doubt be playing through to 2012. I know I would definitely
shell out hundreds of bucks to buy more copies for all of my friends if it was
the only way to keep NiS thriving and ensure we see a Disgaea 5 or Soul Nomad 2
(Please? :D).

Now I kind of wish I had purchased all the games they released this year (like
Last Rebellion, Trinity Universe, and Sakura Wars), each of which I'm sure I would
have enjoyed, all of which I skipped over in favor of a variety of other games.
At least I'll be getting Atelier Rorona and Disgaea 4, right? :D

Edit: Etrian Oddysey III is out, though my preorder was sent to my house so it'll
take a few days for them to ship it up to me. I'm looking forward to it :D

@Izumo-san - (This is going to be a pretty big rant, skip to the ---- line for my reply about Disgaea) The story involving the original cast started and ended in VC1. There isn't much else to tell. VC2 takes part during a civil war two years after the invasion from the first game. VC3 takes place during the events of the first game, but involves what appears to be Squad 7 of the Army instead of Squad 7 of the Militia.

I don't have a huge problem with the games being made on the PSP, but I would rather see them done on the PS3 where they can use the same kind of graphics that I loved so much in the first one. I also have a problem with the fact that they are ramping up the anime influence in the series. The first game had a slight anime influence in character designs and reactions to situations. Since they put the series on the PSP, they have gone all out anime for the characters. Characters are very stereotypical of anime characters and a lot of them I have seen so far have less depth to them. Don't even get me started on the inclusion of classes that can swing buster swords and destroy tanks or a class that runs around playing big tuba's.

I don't mind the fact that Valkyria (a supposedly rare race that can wield supposedly rare artifacts) seem to be cropping up all over the place, I mean, the title of the game is Valkyria Chronicles, so you have to have at least 1 in each game. I can sorta deal with the fact that people have managed to produce several mechanized Valkyria that can fire tank destroying laser beams, although I'm still not really fond of the fact that there is an entire corps of them. Finally, I think a melee class is a pretty nice concept, I just can't get over them being powerful enough to severely damage or destroy tanks by swinging a halberd/sword/poleaxe at it. Everything else that VC2 did in terms of gameplay enhancements I think is wonderful. I haven't tried co-op yet, but I really really want to (switching between multiple maps is kind of iffy though, since you can only deploy 6 units at a time and there can be upwards of 5 maps to switch between in a single battle). My biggest complaint is that VC2 sucked out all of the charm of the original game for me. So far I only have about 5 units (original units that is, not counting unlockable characters from the first game) that I actually like to use on a regular basis (Avan is also not counted in that, since I don't really like him). In the first game there were enough characters that I liked that I could fill out my entire Squad with them.

VC3 looks like it will be an improvement in terms of characters. I'm looking forward to seeing more details about them. However, they have still kept things like the big swords, so I'm a bit disappointed by that. (Now that those things are in the series however, I will have to learn to deal with the fact that they will forever be there).

Anyway, I'm not making a whole lot of sense. My mind has been elsewhere for quite a few weeks now, so I'll stop talking there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

For NIS's sake, I hope that Disgaea 4 does well. I think their main problem was that they started pumping out too many new games too quickly. Like you said, they are a company that caters to a niche audience, so they take a much bigger risk when they come out with a new title since having even a quarter of their fans not buy the game could cause them to take a loss. I was sort of interested in Last Rebellion, but other stuff was coming out and I was hearing mixed reactions to the gameplay and such. Disgaea 4 on the other hand, that would be a pre-order and day 1 pick-up for me.

The next game I am getting from them is Atelier Rorona. I'm still not sure on whether or not I will like that game (it apparently has a time limit system, which I despise in games) but I'm going to give it a shot anyway since I did like the other Atelier games. I think it's out September 28th, so I'll need to try and finish Valkyria Chronicles 2 before then while also keeping up on school work.

One bit of news from TGS kinda made me feel a bit depressed.

The president of NIS of course unveiled Disgaea 4 as everyone knows already but something from that announcement is unsettling. I'm not sure of the exact quote but i remember reading that NIS is putting ALOT of stock into Disgaea 4 success & if that doesn't happen it may mean bad news for the company.

I'm a HUGE fan of NIS & i would hate to see them fold or be dissolved into another company & have their creativity held back. Them remaining independent is what makes them so good at what they do. They stated in the past they will take longer development times to make better games rather than release one every so often. This occured when their stocks were at a all time low which Jon-san & myself briefly discussed.

I know Disgaea & any other game NIS makes are pretty much niche titles & cater mainly to the hardcore fans of the company but i do hope with Disgaea's new approach will garner new fans for the series.

@ Jon-san
Didn't the creator of VC state that they may go back to the PS3 once there is a new concept/direction for the series rather than the minor tweaks that the PSP games have, which i believe are basically spinoffs. They may go back to the main story involving the original cast when they are nearing the end of this war. The other casts from the PSP games can also be part of the game as well if they decide to do that.

I forgot who mentioned it but they wanted to see 'actual' gameplay from TLG. If you guys remember all Team ICO games do not have prerendered cutscenes, everything is in game. So what you see in the trailers is all in game. The newest trailer also showed abit of actual gameplay...with the kid walking on planks, destroying that glass symbol, & other stuff near the end that flashes pretty quick.

I have a code for Brotherhood, but I haven't downloaded it to try it out yet. I should probably get on that soon.

@Maiku - It basically is Demon's Souls 2, but they can't use the name Demon's Souls for a multi-plat game since the property or name is owned by Sony (at least, I think it is. I know Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio had a hand in development).

Oh yeah, I wanted to try Brotherhood's beta, but you had to pre-order the game to get it though.
My friend did that just to get it and canceled his pre-order. Looks interesting.

Oh, also that No ni Kuni game looks cool. I saw footage of that around E3 or such.

I just saw a Project Dark trailer, and it looks comfortingly like Demon's Souls :D
The new Castlevania looks awesome, and I'm really looking forward to the Assassin's
Creed: Brotherhood beta.
Too bad VC3 is for PSP T^T

TGS pretty impressive, didn't read over the full details yet, but from what I've seen pretty interesting stuff.
Main attraction to me is Team Ico's stuff, but I'm hoping their re-release of their first two games aren't what the trailers have shown.
Cause there's definitely no HD increase yet, it looks the same still, but yeah it's still a bit early,
and it won't even be released until the Spring anyways of next year.
Now, is TLG being released this winter or next year's winter? (2010-2011 or 2011-2012)

Other than that, I'm still getting Narutimate Ninja Storm 2 when it comes out end of this month first day. Can't wait!!!!!

Oh, that new 'DmC', looks pretty sweet. If people think PS3 won't be taking over soon, yeah, the march begins now!!!
Also, did anyone see the fail Kinect booth they had at the show? With the cute Japanese girls dancing??

The new DMC style is probably because Capcom's head honcho believes that the Japanese games industry is stale. This is probably some lame attempt to reboot the franchise to appeal to western gamers. Whatever the case is, that guy is most certainly not Dante. He doesn't seem that bad in terms of character design (except maybe the hair for some reason), but Dante is already an established character, so there's no reason to mess him up. Some people seem to think that the character shown has psychological problems and just thinks he is Dante however, so who knows what they plan to do with this DMC. Either way, I still miss the days when Dante was the main character.

Disgaea 4 looks nice. The sprites are definitely smoother and better looking. Glad to see that they are sticking to what works.

@Yuna - Unfortunately, VC3 will be for PSP. I was disappointed to find that out. I have already seen some screenshots. It does look better than Valkyria Chronicles 2 (I'm mostly referring to characters when I say that), but it's still getting pretty silly. People are running around with huge buster/energy swords, and Valkyria seem to be commonplace now since there is apparently another one in VC3 with her own shield and lance. In terms of initial impressions, I do like the look of the characters and the fact that they are going back to the events of the first game, but I still wish they would lose the silly energy swords and beam weaponry that VC2 introduced.

The Tokyo Game Show was certainly full of surprises this year, though I was disappointed to hear that news of Final Fantasy Versus XIII wasn't going to be revealed until January 2011. Tales of Graces has a PS3 version, I'm not expecting localization of the game at this point. Disgaea 4 and The Last Guardian trailers look good! New DMC on the horizon and how it looked I most likely won't be getting it. Valkyria Chronicles III! hopefully for the PS3

These trailers for upcoming games are absolutely INSANE!!!!!!

Disgaea 4

- Finally the 2D sprites are no more...but i hear there is an option to use them if you like.
- game more about politics in the netherworld...maybe the main character is a lawyer or something :D

The Last Guardian

- Holiday 2011...the ONLY negative about this game
- i want a giant bird dog thingy too!

Gran Turismo 5

- just freaking look at this game!!! It HAS THE HIPPIE VAN!

These are my most anticipated games there are others but these i can't miss ever. I wanna add the HD Team Ico Collection but EVERYONE should know what those game are already...if not shame on you! j/k

@ Maiku-san
I read that there is an online mode that is similar to Demon's Souls where other players from all over can 'invade' your world & attack you! They can also be invited to aid you in battles as well. I better not be online until i get my uber equipment & stats cause i don't wanna run into some dude who has insane levels & gear to wipe the floor with me XD

I can't say I ever had a "WTFISHOTHIMINTHEFACE" moment playing MW2. Actually I
never ran into any cheating while playing MW2 multiplayer = Nor did I ever hear
any profanity or racial slander from 8 year olds. Such is the advantage of PSN.

And I thought MW2's campaign was one of the genre's best. The moment where
Sheppard flicked a cigarette onto my oiled body was sick, and throwing a knife
in his face at the end was one of the best revenge moments in any video game because
it felt like I was the one getting revenge.
And seeing Price again was beautiful.

ANYWAY I cannot wait for Black Ops and Etrian Oddysey III, NSUNS2, MoH, AC:B, and
all the other awesome games coming out now and winter break when I can actually
play them >.>

Edit: :ALDKJLKDJLKJSDLKJF Disgaea 4! The trailer was so sickkkkkk
