(Hmm... i think i might join. Still it's a bit hard for me to play someone relativly weak... but i think i'll manage. Say, a ronin is a samurai without master? Then that's my choice) Name: Raiken (Rai) Age: 38 Gender: Male Weapon: Two-handed katana (nodachi?), chakram (if allowed) Type: Ronin Bio: Ex-samurai, but one day left his lord for no real reason. Since then wanders around the Japan, working for everyone, who pays, does any jobs, but those that break his own rules. His rules are: never kill women, never take impossible jobs, do his job with honor. Except those rules - has no morality - quite an evil person. Enjoys killing. Sole survivor of Shinken (death sword) Ryu war school. Has unique, but useful style, that allows him to use nodachi and chakram nicely. Story: It was another hard day. Raiken just returned from his last mission, the one to assassinate a merchant, that rivaled his employer. He recieved his pay without any problems, then visited some restaurant for a bowl of miso soup. - Thanks. - he said to a waitress. - Hmm... it looks like the cost increased. Something happened? - - Well, it's hard times, so getting those ingredients is pretty hard also. Bandits are roaming in forest. Two caravans disappeared this month. But you have nothing to worry about - noone robs sole travellers around here. - - Around here? - - Yeah, there is a small group here. They're not so bad, because they never attack villagers. Their boss was originally a villager here, so he's more like a protector for us. But rich outsiders should worry about their money. But you have nothing to worry about... Speaking of which - do you have gold today? I won't let you eat and run this time. - - Yeah, yeah, i know. Don't worry - today i have a bit. I'll even pay for last time, or you won't stop nagging me for it. Otherwise, you'll make my food taste terrible. - - You have money today? Somehow connected with this assassination, that was yesterday? - - Jeez, you figured it out... But keep silent about it, okay? I don't want to leave this village. - - Well, actually i hated him myself, and as long as you pay - that's okay with me. - - Great. Enough talking - my food's getting cold... can you heat it for me? - - For a price. - - Aw... but i hate cold food, so here you go. - - Be in a minute - Raiken laid back, thinking of those bandits, wandering around, and hoping that they won't think he's rich. But would someone think so? He hoped for a well-paid job to appear, so he would be able to buy new clothes. Would he ever be rich, or will he always have to eat and run? His family was disgraced and outcasted when he was young. Wandered around Japan as a brigand with the rest of his family for a few years, but parted ways and decided to settle down as a bandit with a few friends in the mountains. Imposes considerate tolls on the rich who pass his territory, offers protection for a price, and does not raid villages within his area. Cultured and courteous, looked upon by romantics as a 'noble bandit' who fights for the people. Ironically, he's a realist who accepts the fact that what he does is below the standard of a samurai and out of desperation. I sit and do nothing. The grass grows by itself. ~ Bassho

Yeah, sorry with everything that's been going on with me I've kind forgotten about this RP. After exam week when I'm feeling back to normal I'll see if I can bring this back.
