Okiees Terror- I'll just ask Ugo everything >.> lol. Oh and i'm working on... wait what was the story? Oh yeah it's caled: An online tale... I'll try and type some of it up in a bit- i'm in my paranoia mode at the moment.. and plus I can't be bothered- I was tricked into reading something and it's 1000 pages thick and i mean THICK. Apologies for the caps. But yeah- a bit cranky- i'm trying to finish the whole series this summer but it's hard when they're *gets ruler out* 7cm thick >< ! It's gonna be worth it though =^.^= you get stickers for reading books when you join the " Summer Reading Challenge"! :3 okay, the thing might've said "10 and under" lol~ but you also get a colour-changing pen! ~ but that's for reading 6 books... |

Sayu hasn't gotten back to me and seems to have been offline since the 17th, so I'm going ahead with the website creation tomorrow with Shuyin. We're going to go with Webs, since Shuyin has expressed interest in that site and Sayu hasn't been on to comment. Small hold up. We need to wait and see what we are going to call the project before I make the website, since the domain name can't be changed once made. So we'll wait on that for now. |

@ All: Currently there only ONE vote! Come on minna! I'll open up name voting for one more week, and I'll make a final count of thevotes at the end of friday. It's still okay to nominate a name (Max 1 per person) This saturday will probably be more discussion on group logos and mascot so keep those in consideration. Also I'm not exactly sure on everyone's progress on everything, but if you're department is sitting around and itching to do something, or need inter-department co-operative works, everyone's been doing quite well in reporting progress, keep it up! My lazy senior year starts tomorrow (hence the proceeding last minute vacation) may or may not be busy at times, but I wont forget my responsibility here! @ Mokona: (Wow... how did she miss it?) Anyways! I'm back! I had one very condensed three day vacation! Whent to lA's chinatown and fashion district multiple times. Managed to hit the beach.... visited a couple of museums... got to know the wonders of the city bus. Hmhm! Anyways, so you're fine with submitting this in a coded form? I'll adapt to what is needed... so I'll need to ask Karuzo's help too. And yes! Please PM me you're vote! Anyways for a mascot.... that's still in the air since we're still deciding on a name. But there was a somewhat strong suggestion of making a 'cute' version of Gendou as the mascot. That can range from something like a 2-d Gendou anime plushie doll..... (Ugh... I have a feeling Gendou-sama will have some sort of response to this) or alternatively a 'moe' gendou where we basically have a cute female character with obvious visual characteristics to the original character... only as a girl as you'd see in a generic dating sim. Nextly, there comes the matter of the introduction arc. Like I said before it is likley the only confirmed arcs are Mine (Lax) Mokona (Tyson) and KM Revolution (Character yet to be revealed). So, I'm going to have to start thinking about writing the introduction arcs. Mokona-chan, please PM me you're thoughts on it if it's spoiler related. But, I'll say now I have intents on writing it, but I need to know how you want your character to be seen and important info. PS: I didn't know you felt so strongly about Terror Mokona! o^^o @ Basil: Oh! Wait, do you intend to return to your position as head of coding Basil-san? @ Terror: Oh really? I did not know that. ^^ Anyways... I believe proofreading would go best before any major coding. As it would probably make it easier on proofreading staff and give the coding a bit more time to prepare. Do you think this is alright? Anyways, considering it's the time for coding to be experimenting, would it be helpful to you to have a list of the the game's features in order to know what coding mysteries need to be solved? @ Wheezze: Hello again! @ Shuyin and Jonathan: K. If you guys need things to put up, there's a bit that has been submitted already (alebit beta), request what you need as you need it. Please keep Sayu updated when she returns. |

@Ugo: "PS: I didn't know you felt so strongly about Terror Mokona! o^^o" Did I miss...nvm. ROFL /uberphail on my part. Is that single vote mine? lol Anyways, sure. If you guys a list of stuff of things you want to see in the VN that falls to the coding dept., then I'm sure getting that info now would be very helpful. |

[ I'm really out of place right now since I'm not that active due to busy school work ;v; ] Anyways, I managed to squeeze in procrastinating for a sketch... it isn't really a good one, but it does show a bit of how I developed Aya some more. The skirt choice isn't good here, I think shorts would have been better. Ribbons are more or less what makes up her design, I like the headband with a single ribbon on the side |D. The hair is more or less shoulder length, and is usually a bit messy. The color would still be brown or orange-brown. The 3/4 face sucks, nvm that. ----- I can't draw everything I think about recently, blame school xD Good news is, I finally have access to a PC on my Univ so I can draw there when I have some free time on campus. Also, I still need to refine Lax's hair style since it wasn't Mokona's vision xD ---- So what's up around here? |

@ All: With votes.... there's several names tied! More votes on names please! @ Terror: Alrighty... well, though this has only been discussed slightly, these are some features (largely borrowed) that I believe would make the game the VN a bit more user friendly. I guess I'll try my best to boil it down into some form of tree chart. Menu General Options like save load, new game, etc. Possibly a background... which has blank photos. To show completion, these empty spots could be filled in with the ending cg for each arc. Like different memories. I kinda have this odd want to have it like when a menu item is clicked or moused over, there would be a quick witty explanation diolouge by one of the characters. (we could have an Aya set, or Lax set be chosen randomly when the game comes up) Capability of starting with a different new game using the afterstory arc after it's unlocked. An Extras Section with: An ending viewer. CG Mode Viewer. Music Player. As well as possibly a "Diary Section" that is composed of different parts of Aya's diary unlocked through the course of the game. A portion of the CG mode viewer dedicated to CG's such as backgrounds and all used character sprites. Options More general things like volume, selecting character to mute or not. If you guys manage to do it you can have an option to skip minigames if we manage to program those in (probably made available after a single playthrough). Ingame Things The General stuff - Textbox, etc. If possible, a variation of transitions for scene to scene appropriate (like one for traveling, or after a period of time...) After the first playthrough, a progress option in the menu that shows everything the player has unlocked or hasnt, and what choices to make. (I'm unsure of this one) A possible alternative to the above - Little marks that appear by choices that the player has already selected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ANd those are all the things I can think of. I understand a lot of these will need coding and may not even be implemented in this. But, these could make for some big +'s for the player who downloaded this. I skipped over much of the general stuff, since it looked like those options where already there in the basic version. If anyone else has ideas for other features, then by all means suggest away! @ Darky: Everytime anothe drawing is posting, I get a huge urge to find some way to scan mine own pictures...! >.< Anyways, I understand the school thing. I've started my senior year, I've gotten much of my practice by drawing a picture almost every day, so I think I'll try playing around with character designs too. The hair style is starting to get more refined. FOr clothing choice, I'd say her "standard" costume would be something conservative, that doesent show too much skin. Though, considering Aya and her friends' previous anime loving background, there's a the likleyhood there might be some cosplay variations for Aya's sprite. As always, cant wait to see more! My first semester is that Adobe and Illustrator intro class I signed up for. Sure will help out! @ Schaz: Alright. Now it would be a three way tie... we're in need of a tiebreaker. @ KM: It looks like you have a question, but I didnt get it too clearly. What are you asking Karuzo...? ALso, I think a page back Terror posted a guide to basic Renpy code. Can you please look over it and see if it's possible for you to do it as a part of the writing process? |

@Ugo: "I kinda have this odd want to have it like when a menu item is clicked or moused over, there would be a quick witty explanation diolouge by one of the characters. (we could have an Aya set, or Lax set be chosen randomly when the game comes up)" So instead of a "ping" or something when a player highlights a menu option, instead have a character announce the option? Like if I were to highlight "New Game", Aya's voice would play and say "New Game"? Hmm, where have I seen...oh god...well thanks for reminding me of that. <_< lol Anyways, if a way to get a "ping" sound into that spot is possible, I'm sure a voice clip could go there as well. I assume you'd want it so at the start, the player would only be able to hear Aya, but as arcs are completed, the other characters become unlocked? I've yet to delve crazy deep into Ren'py, but I'm sure that's possible with flags and whatnot. :3 Hmm, you could always count my vote twice. xD Makes the mascot deal easier. :o lol |

@Ugo That depends. I have the urge to remove the hierarchy at the Coding Dept. @Terror One question - are we the only ones doing the coding? I haven't been updated on things. |

Looks like lots of people are really busy lately... I'm included here, but I wont flake out for too long. I'm guessing school is starting for a majority of us here, so I guess things are going to be a bit slow. Stangely enough, there's still a tie in the votes. It looks like the name at this rate will be choosen randomly based on the ones that all have a single vote. @ Terror: Yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking! My thoughts would be like: Aya New Game: I guess we should start now, right? Options: Maybe it could be a bit better... Aya Voice Off - W-what did I do wrong!? ....and so on. @ Basil: Abolish the hierarchy? Hmmm, we'll I'm open to it as long as you have a plan on a new orgianization for that department. @ Basil and Terror: Hmmm... well, my thoughts have been that there's a large pool of potential volunterers would know we're aroundf once we have a site up. But I also agree we should look for more people.... Well, my only thought is asking around other sites you're active in. @ Jejechi: Daijobu! |

I'm just waiting to here the name of the project so that me and Shuyin can get started. @Basil- It isn't really a hierarchy is it? It's more like the Dept Heads are there to keep things organized so that people have some direction on what should come next (otherwise people may start and do the same thing as someone else). Then again, if it is only you and Terror coding then all you really need to do is ask each other and go ahead with what you both decide on. |

To the general public (particularly to Ugo and Jonathan): I was thinking that if a Department Head were to exist, there would be a lot of reliance on that person. I have seen it many times before, so I opt for a system that decides what to do through consensus decision-making, that is, everyone has a voice on what to do. Of course, one will have to create a general guideline, but it would be discussed and agreed upon by the populace, hence the consensus. |

...which would work somewhat well with two people. I do think that if we get 2-3 more people, we will need someone to "lead" in the manner of passing out work to do. P.A work on this arc section, P.B on this, etc. Personally, while I can help with basic coding, when the VA stuff starts up, I'll probably just be applying the VA code to the various scripts and managing all of the VA work as it applies to coding. That's still a ways off apparently, but that's what I see it coming to. That being said, we need more people, and more people means some kind of leadership. >_< |

@Basil - Well, let's just let each Dept Head handle it how they want. If it works for you then you can go with it. Different strokes for different folks after all. With 2 people I don't see much of a problem, but when you have a group of people I think you need some form of leadership in order to keep things rolling smoothly. @Ugo- Has a decision been made as to what the project will be called yet? |

Okay, then it's decided. If the Coding Department would have a head count of four(which I hope wouldn't be the case), we'll do things by consensus. But if it turns out that we have more than four members, there'd be either an oligarchy, or a confederation(if we further refine and specify certain tasks for sections within the group). If there are any other ideas, please voice it out. |
