Yeah, but the sub won't be subbed even, for a long time now, so the wait is on. I usually think a year for movies to get subbed since the Bleach movie took about a year to get subbed and released, as the Shakugan no Shana movie (which I still need to see). It's not an official type thing, but it's like a small pattern is beginning in my head. I can see it as the Air TV movie. Nothing really new, just a movie based on the anime's episodes yet still enjoyable to watch. Hmm, as of now, I'm not sure how many episodes Clannad will have anyways. If you talk about how the movie looks a bit under the anime's artwork and whatnot, the Air TV movie was pretty similar, too. I still liked the artwork though, but I'll have to see the Clannad Movie artwork later on for myself.

@ DAngel-san , Suzaku-san, & SkyL-san Oooops....i forgot about firefox not able to see those names...sorry about that. I guess i should've said 'best viewed in IE'.... The preview i have at the 1st page shows the style of animation that the movie is using. It is the same studio that did the AIR movie (TOEI)...so it'll look REALLY good. However the same problems may be faced with CLANNAD that it did with AIR. The limited timeframe (usually 1hr or so) prevents the full story being told...so alot of stuff will be left out. Or it may be like the AIR film & be a totally different story. With all that i've read & seen...the movie focuses mainly on Nagisa & Tomoya's relationship. The other characters will have little screen time....all their stories will probably be condensed. As SkyL-san mentioned in his earlier post...since the film was released only a few months ago it will take some time for it to be subbed. Like the Shana film it was about 3 months or so for the subbed torrent to be released. I do know the OST for the film will be out later this month.....i have an unofficial copy of it...it would be nice to get the real one...which i have preordered already ^_^.  |

i actually doesn't have much expectation from the movies last time Air movie actually give me bad impression of what's the anime gonna be look like. There's too much plot hole in the movie

The movie eh? I'm guessing that the tv series alone would satisfy me, like Air. But if the sub's out i'll still get it anyway, just for collection's sake :P I've finally got to see ep 5... Man ep 4 and 5 really made me laugh thanks to sunohara and Fuko <--(most amusing girl i've ever seen XD) and of course it won't be complete without Tomoya and his silly jokes... He totally harass sunohara with his advices... Man now i'm hooked to this series for sure. I'm expecting a sad story, typical of key's stuff, but i'm not doubting the comedy here. This series is sure entertaining ^^ |

Woah, I saw some sad scene around with about 32 seconds left, with tears coming from Nagisa. The animation is still really good, the only thing that looks different to me is the eyes. [sidenote] Izumo, you can also use the "title" code, too. Instead of "alt", use "title".

@ DA: Yeah...darn T-T i wish they could sub it faster, but i guess they have a lot on their hands :3 The artwork isn't bad, i guess it's just different. the eyes are really different (they're kinda big XDD) I think the movie is more Tomoya + Nagisa and how they met and stuff. It seemed really sad though, from a preview... |

lol, Izumo explained that a bit above here. The eyes do look different but I wouldn't say "larger" since, well, the majority of anime character's eyes are large. It's the detail of the eyes compared to the ones in the anime. The ones in the anime are like, Kyoto Animation based style: similar to Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Air TV, Kanon Remake. Well, I can't even make some pattern since SHnY is not a Key anime, and FMP?F, FMP, and Lucky Star are just different beyond comparison. :3 So yeah, I'm going with the "detail" of it. It is similar to the Air TV movie, since they're from the same studio. Ugh, I somehow confused myself but the answer is in my head. @.@` XD

@ DAngel-san Thanks for the tip...unfortunatley i had to remove the Shana pic cause it was over the 1,024 character limit. I want to keep all of them but oh well.... As for that scene you are referring to in the preview...i think that may be when she was sick...however i won't say anymore about that cause of spoiler issues. @ Suzaku-san Yes...the designs are a little different in the anime. Of course everyone knows the anime version's designs are done by Kazumi Ikeda-san (AIR, KANON) but the movie version was done by Megumi Kadonosono-san (Kitty Grade & Rayearth OAV)....there isn't much of a difference cause both used Itaru Hinoue-san's (chief character designer for KEY)  orignal designs. I guess the difference in styles is that Kyoto's animation style is more vibrant than TOEI's. The movie made the character feel more older...or realistic is it's presentation. I've heard Tomoya's seiyuu in the preview DVD i have & he sounds more mature...older. Also i believe the tone of the movie is more serious than the anime...some of the music in the OST reflect that. I don't know it'll be interesting to see it nonetheless...unfortunately no DVD release has been announced as of yet...so it may take awhile to actually see it. @ Sai-san Welcome to the thread...i think you may have posted before but i/we hope you will join us more often now that you have see the series & enjoying it. Like i said many times in the thread...it's my fave 'visual novel' game & one that i will remember for a long time & still do since it came out in 2004. The story is emotional & the character memorable...just like you said...typical of KEY products. If the story is the way i think it will go there will be some gut-wrenching times but in the end the ending will leave you feeling all fuzzy inside. |

@izumo Sure i will, since i'm into key stuffs though i don't know much about it. I've been hooked since Air :D Anyway, i have a question for you... Is there any english version of any of key's visual novels? I really want to play them but then if it's all in japanese, it's hopeless -_- |

@ Sai-san No worries....a few here haven't played the game or know alot about it as well. they watch it cause it is a great series....or since it is from the makers of AIR & KANON that made them at least curious about it. As for your question....i read that there is a group trying to translate the CLANNAD game into english. I haven't heard much from it for quite sometime now...so the progress of it i'm unsure of. I know that KANON has been translated into chinese...& AIR i think recieved the same treatment. As for english i'm not sure there is one.....but i'm not 100% sure though. The games have recieved voice patches which weren't available when they were first made. Hey...i don't know alot of japanese either...when i do play these i do sometimes not know what is being said. I can guess which is about it....luckily i have a japanese friend who if he has the time will translate what is being said....though lately he's too busy as am i with school or work. |

Time for another update. This time for episode 6. Again i'll try not to reveal any spoilers. This one especially the end is more serious than the past Fuko episodes. So get ready for a plot twist in the end....however most probably know what is going on. The very beginning was pretty cute & funny....Sanae-san goes a LITTLE overboard in her baking...she get's a tad upset when Tomoya says something about it. More handing out of 'starfishes' (or are they stars? :P)...Tomoyo Fighter fans will recognize a moment in this episode...however the tides are turned. Heh...she looks cute in that costume. Of course everything is back to normal when those two meet. If anyone is wondering...the girl with the glasses (Mitsui) is Fuko's very first friend & in the game she only appears during Fuko's scenario. Tomoya doesn't really like her cause of her attitude. Of course there is a reason for that. The ending is a little heartbreaking....you'll see what i mean....T___T. I'm relieved that they are pretty much showing the majority of Fuko's scenario cause it's one of the longer ones in the game. I'm excited to see it happen that way....the next few episodes will be full of emotions!!!! |

They used the original Phase of Moon from the OST XD My emotional feeling monitor while watching the 6th episode: HAhaha!... Aww! Cute!... Sniff... Hahaha... Sniff... sniff... hahha.... hasniff... Aww, they were playing the orchestral version of "To the Same Heights" song near the end. Is that somewhere in the OSTs? ^ SkyL-san Oh yeah...especially when she's on the floor crying...her whole speech there was cute...than she gets up & asks if Tomoya would like to try one...back to the floor ^___^!!! Of course Kikuko Inoue-san has the cutest yet sexiest voice.... The song can also be found on the 'Sorarado Append CD' with riya providing & singing lyrics for it. Than there is the 'techno' version on the 'Memento CD'...in 'Mabinogi' it is the first song. Also the first track in the 'CLANNAD/Tomoyo After piano CD'. Finally the last one i found in my collection is track 10 in CLANNAD  s piano tune CD. All of them are really good....a great song overall. One of the most recognizable in the series. |

this series never cease to amaze me. they still have some comedy going and at the same time it doesn't spoil the seriousness of the story nagisa and fuko on maid costumes are really cute! they also remix hurry starfish as well! btw i just realise mamiko noto is kotomi's seiyuu. good to see one of my fave seiyuu took part in this anime xD

Just finished episode two now, and the ending was pretty sad. The part with Ibuki-sensei coming to the festival, yet only seeing "two" people there waiting for her. Okazaki mastered two moves during the anime, and when the first one was announced it was pretty funny. First off for cuteness, Sanae is just so adorable. Nagisa's mother, and her family overall, RAWKS~!! She's just so cute, and yeah like it was said before, her seiyu really gives her life and full and true emmotion. Second, Nagisa just keeps getting cuter and cuter. The part where she breaks down in front of Ibuki-sensei's door was just so... "unnatural", it kind of caught you off guard. I never imagined this could've happened with Nagisa. Not only that, her voice was completely different, too, from her "break out." I guess she's starting to have feelings for Okazaki, seeing that "mother" and "father" scene. She's cute when she blushes, too, cause she looks so innocent. [sidenote] According to AniDB, this series will have 24 episodes, SHWEET! I just want the same thing for 'Myself; Yourself', too, cause that anime is only 13 episodes long and it's already on episode SEVEN! T-T`

This is getting cuter and cuter every episode... X3 Oh Fuko... But i see the hint of seriousness drawing closer here, although the next episode preview doesn't really show anything serious... Giving botan the starfish, Fuko is in the pinnacle of cuteness... XD I love how she spaces out (and sparkles) like Kareha from Shuffle... And how Tomoya spurt a juice through her nostrils... Heheheheh i really like the comedy style here... But i don't really understand about what Fuko is, or is it Ibuki sensei who's wrong in the head? I wonder if it's like Minagi's case in Air... Of course, an awesome emotional ending to this story is very much expected... Anyway, i have a little question here... Does the song Dango Daikazoku ever appear in the game? I'm really curious about this, this is such a weird ending song to such series... If they can actually make a really good emotional scene with this song, i'd really like to see >:D Glad that this has 24 eps, because 13 or 14 eps won't cover the whole story for sure. I mean, it's already 6 eps for Fuko alone. And that "Girl in the end of the world" hasn't appeared since episode 3. The animation with the girl's scene is kinda different isn't it? It's like an animation from a cel-shading based ps2 game... Mm, there are quite a lot of awesome seiyuus here actually, like Nakahara Mai (i label her as legendary...), Kawakami Tomoko, Okiayu Ryuutarou, Satsuki Yukino (one of my favs...), Midorikawa Hikaru, Nonaka Ai, Shiraishi Minoru (minor character though...), and Kuwashima Houko (Sango, Clare anyone? And she plays Tomoyo here. Now i got the impression that she's a fighter girl XD). Seiyuu fans must have heard at least a few of those names... But, i don't recognize the one playing Tomoya, the main character :P |

why the ending song is weird? the theme of the song is about family, i guess it's pretty match up with the title Clannad which mean family in irish i dunno if dango daikazoku appear in the game, but nagisa's theme and chiisana tenohira share the same melodies, so im guessing there will be emotial scenes using these bgm

What is so weird about the song? I thought it matches perfectly about the entire anime and game. I don't remember the song ever been used in the game. Neither was it in the OSTs. I'm thinking it was new. |
