Not sure if this was asked. @Gendou- What would happen if you lost internet connection or couldn't be on this site for some reason for a while? Would the site go down or would a few features just not be up and running? [Excluding the Radio, I know that wouldn't be online.]    |

@Jonathon If Gendou would loose internet connection the site would still be up and running because the site is not located where Gendou lives. Now if Gendou wouldn't be able to access the server on which the site runs for a while the site might go down when too many people try to access it at once. @laiyia1 1. If I remember correctly that is when there are already too many uploads and Gendou needs time to sort thru those first before accepting new ones. 2. They will probably be thrown away, unless in some rare occassion its a song Gendou was looking for himself.

Some Q's: 1. Why you did not add the quote function? 2. Is HTML code typed by user can access internal database directly? just curious.... 3. I want make a simple HTML Table in my Profile, What best code for that? (I dont want accidently broke forum page and get the BIG RED text ^^;) 4. Why GENDOU RADIO not online 24 hours a day ?

The real question is if any PHP code would be stripped from a reply or if it would be executed when the page is loaded. |

no user supplied content can ever be executed as PHP code because it only lives in PHP registers and in the database. of course, i never call PHP's eval() function on anything except secure data.

interesting question. there are three ways a website can die: 1. owner forced to shut down after legal threat 2. owner becomes uninterested or DIES 3. owner changes hands Number 1 is the likely demise for this website. Number 2 implies that all privately run websites are doomed to die eventually. Number 3 is never going to happen to gendou.com. Whereas I am young and do not expect to die for another 50+ years, it is nonetheless conceivable that a tragedy would result in my death. If this actually happened, the website would have nobody to run it. My parents, being first in kin, would be capable of retrieving the password to the web server. They would not, however be capable of running the site! They would probably entrust the site to sheep. In fact, I will inform them they should do so.
