Haha, did anyone notice the Lucky Star reference/parody in the first episode? The computer game they showed. Konata was the Boss throwing bunch of stars like in Raiden games and Miyuki trying to beat her but died XD!!! |

Oh yeah, I remember! I saw episode one late last night. That's when the one girl playing it was like "I died" or something, lol. I'm re-watching episode one later today or so, and this is definitely going to be one of my favorites. I can't play the game, but I can watch the anime. ^_^ ------- |

It seems interesting but dark. I am praying that it won't be like School Days. |

@ Night-san No worries this is not anything like School Days. School Days is unique cause of the extreme content in it....although there are othe 'visual novels' that are very violent & graphic...School Days is the first 'mainstream' h-game to reach massive audience while being violent & extreme. As for 'ef: a tale...' it may look dark but that is just the animation style of the director & the studio. The original game is actually very vibrant...this is just the studio being artistic. The story of all the characters are intertwined with each other...they all start from different directions but in the end they all wind up at the same spot...if that makes any sense. Although i don;t really know what will happen since i've only played the first game of the series while the second title has yet to be released. The first game mainly dealt with Miyako-chan & Kei-chan. Everytime i listen to 'euphoric field'...i'm loving it more & more. The official website has a streaming video of the japanese version...although it's only 18 sec. You can also hear the one featured in the anime if you leave the sound 'ON'. I notice that some of the backgrounds are very similar to the game trailer. I think the director incorporated some of Makoto Shinkai-san's influence into the anime the way he make everything look so realistic. |

Hey, did anyone here who downloaded the first episode of this anime found the subtitles really weird? It's restraining me from watching the episode @_@ |

[@Suzaku] The subtitles? What subgroup are you using? O.o` The first episode was a bit confusing to me as well. I didn't really know what was going on. I understand a bit more now though, but it'll get in my head in a few episodes or so. Are the other "Tale of..." anime, similar to Memories at all? ------- |

that game is actually pretty fun to play not sure if it was a reference to lucky star or not but the game is real just do a google search for perfect cherry blossom or Touhou series. i think the reference in the series is more related to that game than lucky star itself. |

@ DAngel-san Actually i'm not entirely sure....i've only played the first game & yes there are some similarities in the anime to that game. Like i said before the first game dealt with Miyako & Kei. The other characters weren't present in it. I assume the new game coming out later this year will deal with the others. Until i play the new game i don't know how the anime will turn out in the end....so unlike CLANNAD & School Days (to a lesser extent) i have no idea what's gonna happen. @ Suzaku-san Yeah.. i noticed that as well. The first release of the subs were very poorly done...i forget the group who did it though. The text occasionally overlapped each other making it hard to read them. The newer versions have the problem fixed. Yet still it is just plain text...nothing really fancy unlike some fan groups out there. |

Hmmm, find out what subgroup you're using and tell me here. [@Izumo] lol, that's a first hearing from you. ^_~` I already dLed episode two when it released, but haven't seen it yet. I might have to see episode one again. Maybe the new look and animation just confused my eyes (cause it's soooo good!) +.~` ------- |

Umm, Romance story. As for the story-line, I'm still lost a bit. I haven't played the game. The director did a crappy job at telling the story if it got me lost. This is the first... Anyways... |
Re: ef - a tale of memories

Correct me if I am wrong, but this series is about a female character who loses her memories after a certain period of time right? The only way she remembers her past is by writing down the events of the day. *Makes mental note to catch the series once I have more free time on my hands* Same goes for Myself; Yourself... |

Not really. It's a story of 3 guys meet some girls and romance develops there. How? That's the point of the anime. Nice Shinobu Sig btw gambler |

hmmmm i don't really understand the story too well like i am actually very interested in this anime now ever since i saw the first episode i was confused. But i think one three story lines is the real and one of the other two is the shojou (Sorry if i misspelled it) artist's story. But it's just a hypothesis and like it's gonna be weird. Other then that, it's a great anime i didn't play the game but that's keeping me interested is seeing how everything will slowly reveal itself. |
