I think everyone here has read Harry Potter. I like it, because the style Rowling use to write her book is simple, so easy to read. The storyline is great, full of fantasy. What I don't like is, is that the last few books weren't that great, because she wrote it to meet the deadline... it became commercial, for the money. She wrote the last few books in a hurry to please her fans, not herself. I think she should take her time for writing Harry Potter. |

I used to be obsessed with harry Potter, but it seems almost immature to me now, since I can almsot quote the first chapter of the first book. I like the whole magic thing, but I agree with Kamen (am I right?) ã‹ã‚ã‚“ them ^_^ Sorry. I think she really screwed up with the sixth one. I am curious to know how it ends.

Even though I'm an english major... I have yet to read these books. For some reason the movie is enough for me. I just haven't been able to get into them. I started reading the first one a while back and when I put it down I just didn't have the urge to pick it up again. I guess the only way I'll be able to finish them is if I read one book at a time and in one sitting. >_< Personally I'd rather read Charles Dickens. |

I don't read the books. Too thick. I only watch the movies. I prefer movies more that books cos we just see it and don't read it. But only read the subtitles.

i still have half a Half Blood Prince left to finish the entire series (book 1 to 6, i mean). i read out of boredom. and i'm a slow reader. it actually took me more than a week to finish each of the thicker ones.. maybe 'coz i'm not an avid reader. i don't read books so often, they make my head spin. =p personally i think the stories are so-so. anyways, i'm still looking forward to the 7th book. Kingsley rocks.

To those who haven't read the series and are being discouraged by the first book, it is the only one in the entire series that follows that style, it is also the only one that is so... cute, nearly unbearably cute. I've read all available books, and can't stand the movies because the storyline is simply screwed up completely. |

I've read books one to six and I really enjoyed them. Can't say the same with the movies though..... A lot of good scenes weren't included. |

I just adore Harry Potter. It's a simple, fun read. I, too, prefer the earlier books to the newer books. Oh, btw, Ekirin, I, too, adore Dickens! |

Actully, when the first time i read it, i like it very much. It has a good storyline and cool. But, started from the 5th book, i don't really like it. In the 5th book sirius died and in the 6th book dumbledore died. Why the cool characters have to die? Wish there's no more characters that'll die in the 7th book (except lord voldemort maybe) I think the movie is good, just the director don't have enough imagination to bring the magic world into reality. Also, the 4th movie got so many cool scene excluded. |

I loved the story despite it not really making much sense, contradictions to its own set of physics. Anyways, I liked the first and 4 books best, especially the 4th. The rest of the series prior the 4th book has been lukewarm and what came after it has been real lackluster. The movies have been done reasonably well although they do Harry Potter complete justice. I enjoyed the 4th movie very much even though certain key things were left out.
