Samurai Deeper Kyo

Sometimes I get the feeling like no one watches the same anime I watch. Anyway, has ANYONE here heard of SDK? I've only seen the first... 10 eps. I'm so fed up with all the foreshadowing and stuff, you just wanna throw a book at the screen and yell, "JUST TELL US WHAT HAPPENS ALREADY!!!" But, nonetheless, I like it. I spent a long time NOT watching the anime, and when I went back and looked at it was kind of weird. The character soundtrack is hot though. Yukimura is hot, too. *cough cough* I did not just say that.... But does anyone know this anime, or have any insight on it? Is it worth me buying the next 5 eps? Someone tell me I'm not alone here... |

Your not alone here! I love SDK too!! Me and my friend love it! I think it's a good anime to watch, i think it's woth it to go out and buy the anime, I've only seen a few episodes of it. But I read the manga, it was released by Tokyopop (tho I HATE that company). Soo....GO OUT THERE AND BUY THE NEXT 5 EPISODES!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME THINKING, SDK IS ONE AWESOME ANIME! U CAN'T MISS THE REST OF IT! (that's just me, dude, I'm not pushing you to buy it, I just think it is worth is to go out there and buy the next 5 episodes). |

Samurai Deeper Kyo was published as a manga and then turned into an anime as part of a split promotion with another organization. As such, the anime is completely different from the manga (transformer monsters) and also does not have any definative conclusion (at least not for the manga). I read the manga first - loved it - no morphing mosters but lots more sword action - and was disappointed by the anime. The soundtrack wasn't bad - the plot was. I recommend the manga and not necessarily the anime. |

how can you only have the first 10 episodes of SDK?!! Doesn't it normally come as a whole with the complete episodes and sometimes even with extras stuff like t-shirts??! is yours an english dubbed version? or subtitled? I'm trying to find the one with both. Can you get those kinds? or are they usually fakes? Anyways, I read the manga [up to volume 9] and it is so totally awesome.... I LOVE IT...even though some stupid people say its meaningless and crap.... i guess you SHOULD BUY the next 5 episodes... it is 26 episodes or something right?! |

I know there are at least 6 volumes of SDK out on DVD right now (in the US, anyway). Yeah, on those DVDs you have the option of Japanese w/ subtitles or the dubbed version, but the dubbed version SUCKS, so I never watch it. Lately I stumbled across a box set of the 6 DVD volumes and I'm aching to buy it... but its $95. Curses... Soundtracks are great, I've gotta agree. I haven't read the manga, but it does look a lot different from the anime. Tokyopop's not my favorite either, but I might check it out for the sake of curiosity. Nice to know some other people like SDK!!! Most people think its kind of stupid... Just about every anime people hate I love. Now, to get my hands on that box set... |

| I love SDK too..if the DVD is too expensive for you to buy,try downloading..the soundtrack is great..the plot..is OK since I didn't read the manga because ppl that have read the manga will instantly prefer the manga instead of the anime..because sometimes the manga rocks harder than the anime..XDD |

Yeah, I saw the first DVD volume at Wal-mart a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get it though. It was only like 16 bucks but I didn't have money and I don't know if I'll like it. I read the first volume of the manga at the library and it was nothing special. What's with the parental advisory on the manga anyway? |

i've never read the manga. the plot I always found to be interesting, but then I guess I"m pretty patient with fillers and suspence. Samurai Deeper isn't one that I would call a classic or a fav, but it's one that was defiantely nice to watch. The plot I thought was pretty good, but then again, I don't mind how weird it is as long as it works - and it does for the most part. The ending was really dissapointing...but there is a purpose from the director's poitn of view though. I felt the same way about it though. No-one ever heard of any of the anime's I watched. haha. I finally found someone else who does though, nd it feels really good to actually be able to carry out a conversation about the same animes other than Naruto or One Piece... |

| SDK the manga is way better than the anime, the anime's graphics weren't that good and the story changes in the anime..the part when kyo fought with chin mei and hotaru vs shinrei, it wasn't there...But still in both manga ang anime Hotaru roxx! |

me too. the anime is disapointed. i like sasuke sarutobi! (he is the best in PS game..nfufufu =P) and shiseiten no akira, shinrei and HOTARU rulezz!

Yukimura is the awesomest character EVER!! I love that guy! Okay, so he tortures Kyo and Saizo and Sasuke a little... and he chases girls... and dresses up like girls... and "betrays" people... and makes a joke out of everything... but he's great! Great samurai, so smooth and goodlooking. I like him. ^_^ ... he makes a good girl, too. |

i like SDK, never watched the anime, but i collect tha manga of it... gosh...i really like kyoshirou mibu, and nozomu (yuya's brother), and hishigi!!! ehehehe...(fans of cute character...^-^'), the story in manga just so looonnggg..i've just read it until hotaru stepped into his old house in red tower...>.< but, however..it's worth to read or to watch...^x^'  |
