Anime that changed the way you think
|
I think Rurouni kenshin changed the way I thought. The Sojiro fight taught me how to keep a block on my emotions and thoughts. Yu Yu Hakusho in the chapter balck series I was persuaded to h ate all humans at first.......but then I realized the other good qualities-even before seaman lol. |

When I watched Trigun for the first time, I reavaluated my life. Vash was actually a pretty big inspiration for me because despite his past (and in the end, his future), he still remained devoted to spreading peace and love. Besides, when you actually think about, everything he says and does is right...especially the donuts. The same can be said for Rurouni Kenshin. It just shows you that no matter what kind of past you had, you still have a future. Plus, it's just a genuinely cool show.
You need a reason to be sad. You don't need a reason to be happy. The secret to happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible.

Rurouni Kenshin rules! Especially the part when they defeated Shishio, Yahiko says that they won, so they were right and Kenshin replies that one can't say he's right because we are all fighting for what we believe... |

After I watched Air, I suddenly realized that even if you try as hard as possible, things can easily end up in a way you don't like. Or even worse, all your efforts amount to nothing. And Air also made me realize that if someone's gonna leave you, or even die, the best thing to do is give them what they want and make them as happy as possible ^_^ Trigun changed my thinking a little bit, too. I'm like Vash in that I dislike hurting others and want to make everyone happy and stuff, but Knives is right about something else. You can't save everyone. So that brings this thought: Who should be saved? |

Trigun. Beautiful anime with an emotionally-driven main character. Vash is a true inspiration for anyone with a dark past. Same with Rurouni Kenshin, one of my all-time favorites. Full Metal Alchemist changed the way I view the government and how people believe science is the answer to everything. Inuyasha also made me change the way I view people.

Dnangel also taught me how to clear up whats right and wrong, although I don't think that was the main point of the anime. Shisi-o's philosophy "If you're strong you live,if your weak you die," led me consider it,and I came to the realization that it was true for most people in the world. |

Pretty much all the gundam series made me rethink the meanings of war. Which is a pretty good lesson to learn. Gundam Wing-Just watch the series. Every episode is about war and all of the side changes, political views, and tricks used in war. Gundam Seed-Mostly about the sides of war. |

Rurouni Kenshin and the Christain Persucution Episodes. It was really deep and made me think. Everyone is persucuted for one reason or another...it's like racism and prejudice are a part of human nature. But, there is allways someone there to say "Hey this is wrong," Maybe...life isn't really simple after all...(Yes I know I ramble) |

Fullmetal Alchemist 'you would gain something if you gave something of the equal value' but sometimes it's not that true... this anime told me that i should always work hard on whatever that i am doing, although sometimes your hardwork would be useless |

Grave of the Fireflies, it made realize that no matter how bad, or tough life may seem, it can always be worse, or is worse for somebody else. Evangelion also changed the way that I think, but not as drastically as Grave of the Fireflies. |

Trigun: Love and Peace! The spider will capture the butterfly in its web and devour it, but if you save the butterfly, the spider will starve to death, and there is nothing that would make one or the other more valuable. You cannot save everyone . . . But that does not mean you shouldn't even try. A smile and an outreached hand instead of anger and hate, and perhaps we really can save everyone. Also, just because a person fails to live according to one's morals, it does not mean those morals are faulty. Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Well, it's a manga, but who cares?): Things change, though slowly, and even when it's sad, it's beautiful. Life is full of little miracles, you just gotta learn to appreciate them. Life is full of things you might hold precious, but when it's time, just let them go. Let it go. There's no reason to worry about it, we live on till we die, and noone knows what comes next. Just let it go. Yotsubato! (Another manga): Enjoy Everything! Fullmetal Alchemist: The Law of Equivalent Exchange does not work. We might put as much time and effort into something and still not reach it. But! This is important: sometimes we may also recieve something we have not paid for, something we do not deserve. And that, my friends, is beautiful. Because, in the end, none of us deserves anything. Cowboy Bebop: We carry our heavy pasts with us, they weigh us down and we can't run away forever. But! "You're gonna carry that weight." Madlax: Well, seeing as I just finished this series mere moments ago, I can't quite yet tell what, exactly, I picked up from it, but trust me on this: It damn sure affected me. THE MOONS OVERLAP! Revolutionary Girl Utena: The chick struggles to be freed from the egg, and if it does not smash the shell, it will die without ever being born. We are the chick, and the world is our egg. But you cannot hope to revolutionize the world before revolutionizing yourself. Memories are as close to eternity as one can get, but you shouldn't dwell in your memories. You shouldn't bury yourself in a coffin, even if the world might be painful and it might feel better to just lie there forever, like dead, indulging in your precious memories. The outside world is there, so very cold and harsh, but it is the only place where you can be truly alive. Also, feminism. Yes, that's right. I became a feminist solely because of Revolutionary Girl Utena. R.O.D the TV: Dream or Die. A dream, an illusion, a false reality, no matter how utopian, how perfect and sweet, is still false. Only reality is genuinely real. Yes, there are conflicts, unjustice, unequality, war, and hatred, but such is the way of the world. It would be truly wonderful to live in peace, but you cannot do it by robbing people of their freedom. |

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou did have 2 anime ovas. Lets see which animes changed the way I think...all. As some may know, especially Kotuso who is sick of hearing it from me, I empazise love greatly and never shut up about it. I wasn't like this before anime I will say that. |
