why shonnen ai?????

| Why now alot of people are interested and attracted to "shonnen ai" type of genre? well for me it is becoz the character is more "kakoi" and it is more touching......the way the story goes is alot more interesting.......How about u guys??? |

I guess the plot is more intensified and I guess they are kawaii ^_^ Shounen-ai gives the anime a fresh twist and the story line is not that scratched ^_^ |

well, it's just interesting. I am personally a shounen-ai fan for no particular reason. Some people find it disturbing while others are addicted i guess...Try reading Legal Drug,it's SO good!><

Moonstone307, i did a quick google search and came up with: "shounen-ai is a professional genre devoted to relationships between a pair of fairly young, usually handsome men, and all their trials and tribulations." I think kakoi means "cool". you can look at this link: http://www.yale.edu/anime/glossary.html which has common japanese words and their meanings.

In response to your question, it varies. There are somme very well written mangas in that genre. Most of the time, yes, it is because the guys are hot, but most of the time, there are hints in the canon that authors believe in. Kakoi = cool |

I like the genre most compared to the other three. :D But everyone has their preference and I respect that, but insulting I cannot stand.

not that i hate shonen ai or anything, i do enjoy some fanarts and curious from time to time about this stuff, at least shounen ai is milder than yaoi since it's just to the point of kissing, like loveless i suppose...BUT i don't really like how some of the fangirls turn a normal shonen anime into some yaoi fanfics...kinda ruin my favorite manly male character fantasy -_- Honestly, I prefer fanarts based on the actual shonen ai anime than normal anime

I've been a fan of shounen ai since as long as I can remember. It's kind of like the same reason some are attracted shoujo ai. For some they become tired of the normal hetero relationships where the roles are set in stone, female plays her part in the relationship and there are what some like to call lines or almost instructions for her role in a relationship and it's the same for the male. But in a shoujo or shounen ai relationship these lines are no longer so defined and clear and roles can and often become switched. For some it's because of this variety that it adds. For others it's because two males (and for others two females) being put together are just so adorable. I find that yes it is adorable but so is any other relationship hetero or not that you would see. I think I'm attracted to it more then a regular old boy/girl attraction because of the variety factor but I'm not quite sure why it's just different. Although I will say as a girl myself I'm not to fond of the shoujo ai for some odd reason. I adore Shounen ai, but can't quite wrap my mind around shoujo ai. But everyone has a different reason and then there are others like me who like it just because and couldn't give you a reason as to why.

emmm....the forbidden love....shonen ai....i like it mainly because the guy characters are so kakoi(cool) and hot!!!! watch it because of the guys....and less female characters...:P hehe animeangel,i dont like shojo ai too,and i'm not gonna watch it even i have the chance. hai aimi, ni hao ma? guess who

i agree with what u guys wrote here...shounen ai-based anime sometime has better stroyline n they r more interesting..being so hot n kakoi at the same time^_^..i'm a girl,maybe i like shounen ai coz it got lots of great looking characters but i don't think that's all to it.if the plot fails,the plot fails.n yes,shoujo ai does not interests me that much.actually not at all.probably no opposite attraction?haha..but u jz need to find the right anime..n to me,some anime jz don't work out if it's a hetero relationship..don't want to say which here,but some anime,i jz can't think of a guy n girl as a pair..screw me.n ppl need to be open to kind of stuffs.i have friends who can't jz stand yaoi but even shounen-ai but at least they don't go so emotional abt it.it might make other ppl feel irritated you know.   |

haha i can said i'm a fan of shounen ai or even yaoi i like it cause the story line is better by the way i want something more interesting more complex more hot guys less female most of the time the female in anime have big boobs & i don't relly like it guyxguy do sex oh yeah it my pleasure to read or even watch it
