To Gendou-sama

Is it okay with you when people somewhat "imitated" your avatar? I think it is rather amusing, especially when the pics blink almost at the same time haha

I think that everyone that does it is a moderator, so Gendou trusts that person. I like the blinking avatars ^_^

The blue avas with the blinking eyes are the Gendou. There are 4 of them as far as I know each with his own ava.

I guess that would be
Gendou-sama
Gendou-san
Gendou-kun
Gendou-chan

Just to clarify, they aren't all pictures of Gendou, but other staff members from NERV, an organization that the original Gendou was in charge of in Evangelion, with the exception of Lady_Rin's, which is from another anime which I haven't seen.

I didn't know that and now I also know where the NERV parking permit in Ranger's car is from, the Evangelion DVD. I'm not a fan of Eva I tried it only I never developed in interest.

I could change my ava if you wish. However her face is from an early ava I ever had.

Here she is; Lady Rin Todoroki from Mahoromatic. I chose her because Ranger pointed ot how she looked like me and how her family was similar to my own. A wealty military family with a long tradition. She was my first ava. I have others of her including the one I made my Gendou ava from.

I think I'm going to change the rate at which she blinks so we aren't all blinking together.

I don't really care if you change yours or not, the NERV staff thing was just my idea when I made my ava.
If you didn't like EVA the first time around, I understand; I probably wouldn't have liked it either, except I had already seen RahXephon (to which I am a rabid fanboy) which shares a lot in common with EVA especially in the first five-or-so episodes. I highly suggest RahXephon to you and anyone else, not just as an alternative to EVA, but as one of the top 10 best animes ever made (the 26 ep. series, not the manga). And just FYI, I have my NERV parking permit on my windshield too.

I think the idea of using the NERV thing as avatars for moderators is interesting. I've also heard good comments about RahXephon and NGE, but I never really liked mecha.

EVA and RahXephon only qualify as mecha because they have a few giant humanoid shaped things that appear to be robots. As it turns out, neither the Evas nor the RahXephon are really robots and neither show really focuses on mecha type action, rather they are very complex, detailing even the more insignificant characters with attention to subtle hints and piecing together an overarching storyline, masterfully worked (with the exception of the ending episodes and movies of eva) and compelling soundtracks make these shows unforgettable.

well, anything thats taller than 10ft and resembles some kind of humanoid robotic shape counts as mecha for me :P
But it does look pretty good

No doubt about it, RahXephon is worth every minute of your time spend watching it. Eva is a little bit less likable right off the bat, but it has what are probably the most memorable characters from any anime released to date. Definitly find a way to watch at least the first 5-6 episodes of these before discarding them as just another anime.

I don't mean to disagree to disagree, but I think it's slightly different than how you describe it Mr.Hyuuga. RahXephon is probably less likeable off the bat than EVA if you aren't very tolerant of weird anime. EVA starts off considerably less wierd from the start but it gets wierd. RahXephon starts off wierd, turns normal, and then goes back to wierd again, but doesn't go as far as EVA. EVA is undeniably a mech series, almost as much as Gundam Wing (Wing in particular for the reason of talking to mech fighting ratio being similar to EVA), although I must agree that RahXephon is not really a mech series, and even when it is it at least integrates well with the plot without using cliches.
Both are extremely good.

You saw my parking pass and thats when you wanted one.....I still don't have a cool red car to put mine on...(I don't have my own car at all/I can't drive yet)...and a license plate that says "UNIT 02".

Asuka and Megumi(RahXephon's Megumi) rule!!

, Ranger want's to know why he doesn't see your car in the NERV parking lot. His is the white Ford Explorer Limited with all the two-way radio antennas on it and a pair of Tinkerbell stickers in the back window.

Well, maybe it's because my little thing can't make it all the way over there from Tenessee on its own. Just in case I ever do look for an '84 tercel that looks kinda like this only a 4-door in grey, and not so shitty looking. Only at ~89,000 mi. and running great! (<-- Shameless promotion of my seriously old car.) Maybe I'll actually put a picture of it up sometime.

Don't diss your car! It's friggin cool! You said it yourself that it drives like a go-kart! Just spruce up the interior and give it a new paint job and it'll be great.

I believe that I have not yet received the answer I wanted from Gendou-sama... @PSOPlayer: Your car will be a very valuable thing in the near future.

Rin, glasses guy is psoplayer... You may already know that, but posting his avatar there seems like a lot of trouble...

I forgot about Ran's question *lol*

@ran: i dont mind, i consider it a compliment that they have chosen similar avatars. it makes sense for the moderators to be easily identifiable, too.

I like that, the moderators having an easily identifiable ava. Thank you Sachiel, I found out how find the name behind the avas a few days ago. I think, but who is who -sama, -san, -kun and -chan?
