It's most likely a virus. Spyware, as annoying as it is, usually doesn't cause random system reboots.

Perform a complete system scan with your AV software of choice, then head to Windows Update to download the latest updates.

Maybe one of your programs/driver had a problem, and when it was unable to fix it, it automatically restarted your computer.

Just recently my computer has begun to randomly crash and then reboot due to some sort of driver error whenever I run azereus and I can't seem to figure it out. (So now I'm using BT classic.)

If I play Halo, sometimes it'll shut off my computer, and I say T.T I've also has this virus called lsass.exe, and it would initiate a shut down "authorized by WINDOWS NT/system". If it's a hardware conflict, stop using whatever shuts off your computer.

I ran into a problem with that virus before on one of my friend's computers, have you tried system restore? that worked for him. But that virus shouldn't cause random shutdowns.... It happens when you play Halo?....I had a problem like that for a while....I just updated the game and ran it in devmode from the command prompt to check to see what EXACTLY it was doing (compared to what it normally would do). I haven't had a problem since.....
....are you using Halo Custom Edition by any chance? Whenever I made new maps it used to cause that problem.

I just got my computer back because I got a virus that ate my XP install and wouldn't let me re-install it or wipe. I had to get a 3rd party disk to zero the drive and then when it didn't reinstall Windows after that I kicked it really hard and it worked for awhile. Unfortunately when I kicked it I knocked loose the connection between my motherboard and hardrive so I had to send it away for a month for these tech people to figure it out. Hahaha I'm such a loser.

if update driver doesn't solve the problem, you must check hardware. From my experience in hardware since 1998, if yopur PC often restart, the problem is your power supply. What brand yours?? You can change or substitute your power source with your friend to make compairing. If the problem solve, then you must buy a new one. If not, you must check the memory and mainboard. May I know your PC specification? maybe I can help. And when you got the problem?? example: when your update driver, or installing new program, maybe?? if not, then your problem is in your hardware.

Thx for helping guys ...

This always happen when I was playing FlyFF. After a few minutes, the computer will restart on its own.

Specs:
256MB RAM
64 MB nVIDIA MX 400 Graphics Card
Intergrated Sound Card
Win XP ( No SP 2 )

I'll try getting the newest drivers for my graphics and see if it solves the problem.

Change your
win to sp1.If u play that game, restart, u check your vga heatsink,& check your power supply & memory. Driver doesn't matter. If driver problem, your comp won't restart.

I think your
power source doesn't supply enough,dropt. You don't change,make sure first,&make compairing with a good one.If don't restart,u buy a new one. Ok.
