How to make the pull down menu

| Gendou-sama, how do you make that pull-down (I only call it that way) of yours in the menu? Is that Javascript or PHP? |

it is done using CSS (cascading style sheets) there is a tiny bit of javascript used, for IE.

in dreamweaver...its should be under behaviors "pop-up menu" i think

IE doesn't have quite as good handling for CSS. Frequently said firefox and opera are more of CSS parsers with HTML functiionality, in comparison to IE at least. Pure-CSS ("drop-down") menues doesn't work in IE, try this site for example: http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/menus/demo.html You would have to use javascript to get functionality for these as well. |

Everyone seems to have answered all your questions well enough by now, but if you're still having trouble with cross-browser problems, or particularly intersted in css alternatives, I know stu nichols has a nice collection of drop-downs that work in just about everything. Here's one of his menus that he claims works in all browsers using pure css. Even though it doesn't validate ;). (yes I'll admit that was a most borderline shamless plug for stu nichol's site ;) ) |
