wow, thats big news! ãŠã‚ã§ã¨ã† indeed. I think its fitting that the royal family now accepts the maternal bloodline. Yay equality. Besides, the maternal lineage carries the mitochondrial DNA!!! |

If she really loves him, it won't be anything. It will still matter, losing royalty must be hard. But if she had to choose between royalty and love, what would she pick? |

From what my JP husband is saying (he was at work during TV coverage and miss a lot of what was said ... my nihongo not good enough to understand very much ><) he said in the past, it has been told that SHE made the choice to drop "hime" title. Maybe to avoid anyone having argument on the issue. Yesterday, I did see an interpreted part where she said about wanting to be a housewife and perform daily house duties for her husband. You know she is scientist? She also wants to continue this work too! But her husband and children will be a priority. I know that many of the JP women here (older and younger) look up to her and will watch how her life unfolds. The best to her. |

Just awhile ago, I was reading an article about the Princess' wedding...and I think she did drop her title. but before she did, she practiced how to go shopping and doing normal stuff. the article also said that it was the first time for an emperor's daughter to marry a commoner... oh yeah, i think they're going to change their law about stripping female royalties of their heritage... if you guys want to read about the article, here's the site: http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/90-11152005-570539.html
^_^v PEACE OUT!
