Oldest RPG? (Any console/platform will do.)

Hardly anyone knows Persona (PSOne); may it either be (Tsumi) Innocent Sin or (Batsu) Eternal Punishment, dating from the first time that they had to market it. The former was not readily available in the US, nor was it in English version.

I have never played Tsumi, and I guess I won't be able to, because I would definitely not understand something that's not English... Tagalog? XD Aye, but impossible. So I had to rely on game scripts, luckily I've found stuff in the web. And I know very well that the graphics are pretty sucky, the battle system is cranky, with the typical random encounters from enemies. They had the debug keys, and when you jam the buttons, enemy annihilated! But the overall story was all worth it. Though I can't deny the fact it got me a litte confused at first. Why this Tatsuya's so angsty about this 'atonement of sins'; Maya's occurences of déjà vu, Sudou's insane talks about 'do you remember this and that, witch?'. (As he was pertaining to Maya.) Say, I'm lucky I've read Tsumi script.

Yeah, Persona: Batsu would be the oldest for me; for reason that... XD It really looks old and crappy!

Dragon Warrior is really old. I think it was the first RPG for NES.

I tried playing the original Phantasy Star games in their GBA remake but they were so incredibly outdated and it was so difficult to know what to do I eventually gave up.

It all depens on your defenition of a true RPG.
some would say that the original Legend of Zelda is the oldest, released in 1983 if I am correct, otherwise I do believe that the original Fnial Fantasy for the NES is the oldest, I believe that it was released shortly after Zelda.
