i have nothing to play and i'm getting a little crazy.
can anyone recommend some good, long, tough tactics games(ex. disgaea, FFTA, phantom brave)?

We should not shed tears for that is a surrender of the body to the heart. It is only proof that we are beings that do not know what to do with our hearts.
dubbing hurts my ears. and im 13!

Dynasty Tactics 2 is quite good.

You get to play it from 4 different perspectives and it's got a nice range of difficulty levels.

Each perspective also has alternative routes for replay value. Though each time you play it, it get's a little easier.

OMG, you don't know it but the games that your soul desires are the fire emblem games. They are the best stragety games the handheld market has ever seen and the Gamecube version has yet to be matched. The second GBA version is the best that I've played but then again, I've only barely started the Cube version. It's definitly challenging, even on normal difficulty, it's good and long, easily 30+ hours if you actually care about doing half of all you can (I'm at 27 hours on the GBA and am only a little past half way). Simply put it's addictive, very challenging if you so wish, and freaking fun.

The best I've played was Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS. Its like FFTA but better; no judges, their are special class like hell/heaven knight, weapon's don't give you skills you learn them depending on your class, and you can have monsters on your team but people can die and turn into a cystal after 3 turns.

Yeah...Final Fantasy Tactics is the best strategy game out there (the Nippon Ichi stuff are good too)....the storyline was a bit confusing but very deep and engrossing.Finding all the special items give it replay value...the characters were memorable...fave is Agrias:)
The missions are fun and challenging....the ones for FFTA can get boring....and best of all you get to play as CLOUD...dats cool.

Hmm... Phantom Brave and La Pucelle in PS 2. And Fire Emblem is one of the best tactics games I've ever play in GBA. I like the storyline of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance in GBA.

RTS games..... go play Dota... or just plain old warcraft....

there's also starcraft if you manage to get a still working copy of it....

but if it's for consoles I recomend Front mission 3 for ps1 and 4 for ps2...

i am a gundam freak so i will recomend the following:
sd gundam g-generation
sd gundam g-generation zero
sd gundam g-generation F
sd gundam g-generation F.I.F.
sd gundam g-generation portable
but F is the best because its compilation from mobile suite gundam up to turn A gundam series and in the portable its starts from mobile suit gundam up to gundam seed destiny it was so fun you will have a hard time in sd gundam g generation F to make it 100% without using cheats

Try FFTA in GBA
I suppose you've already tried the Disgaea/Phantom Brave series C:
try Nippon Ichi's other games, Makai Kingdom
but I haven't played that yet ._.
just one advice.
don't play Onimusha tactics >:|
but it's up to you, I just don't like that game T_T
a disgrace to Onimusha D:

Don't bother with the FFTA for GBA if you're willing to go a little further to get the original FFT or the remake coming out.

FFT for PS was way more of a grasping storyline. Just try it and see.

Although FFT has better storyline than FFTA
FFTA actually has nice gameplay, so if you really like tactical games
and consider the gameplay over storyline
then go ahead and buy FFTA

As for just tactics - Der Langisser (not exactly correct name) would do :)

Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Starcraft, Lord of the Rings (RTS).

So I drove into a parking lot one time and saw this person pull into a handicap parking spot. When you think handicap, you think wheelchair and whatever, right? So it just ticked me off when I saw the guy come out of the car perfectly fine. So then I ran him over.
