Its new feature time again at gendou.com! Not only did I add the cute little arrow next to the download counter, but you also have an upload counter as well! If you have non-zero upload points, they will appear while you are logged in. You can also view a person's upload points on their profile. Upload points are given by me explicitly when i use your uploaded file on this site. But be warned, if you upload files that are not on the request list, or stop during mid-upload, you will get upload demerits and your upload points can go into the negative. Any one file you upload can earn you as much as 10 upload points, or take away up to 10 upload points, if its against the rules. The new system also has features which will allow me to manage uploads better. Soon, you will be able to click on a request to upload a song for it specifically. Once a certain number of mp3s for a given request have been uploaded, no more will be accepted. This way, I can keep uploads enabled more of the time. Any comments/suggestions/explosions are welcome.

i have had that suggestion before, but its such a big stress on the server. after some feasibility testing, i will let you know what i decide. probably a day or so on that.

So this means you will be able to put the uploads up for download faster thanks to better organization of the uploads, I hope? Will the uploads affect your level? The number of upload points depends on how long the song has been on the request list and how many votes it has, I assume? |

as always, poignant questions posplayer: 1. yes, my work has been very streamlined by the upgrade, which was the major motivation 2. still pondering that, myself. i think 10 upload points will get you a 1up. soon to come. 3. it has to do with how grateful i am you uploaded the song. in other words, yes, rare songs (those uploaded by you and nobody else) will get you more points. uploads of requests made by donators will get you more points. upload a wma file and you get negative points, etc.

It seems that just by clicking the link increases the no. of my downloaded songs... (even if i didn't start/finish DL it...) Is that a bad thing?  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

the system increments the download counter by one the moment the download begins, wether you finish or not. this is because of the way web pages are fetched, and is unavoidable. anyway, it is the desired functionality because downloading 99% should count as 1 download.

A question for Gendou-sama: I tried to download 3 files, but I got circumvented by the company Firewall. My arrow is pointing down. Does that mean I lose points?

soon, i will implement level ups for download points. soon! negative points will indeed reduce your level, thanks to additivity of negative numbers.

Hey Gendou, I've uploaded a song on the request list in mp3 format, but how come I haven't gotten any upload points? I checked my profile and it said I've uploaded one song, but no points are given.  |

Ooops...i just realized...DAMN Gendou-san i think couple days ago i uploaded a song that i already uploaded before.If it caused you any problems i really want to say i'm sorry...my mistake...won't happen again...think it was "Asu e no namida" karaoke version of the onegai twins ending... Sorry again :(  |
