html may seem a little confusing at first, but once you get used to it, it's a breeze.

as for your questions:
1. <img src="url of image"> just place that code in where you would type in your nickname
2. for website hosts, i use angelfire, geocities and freewebtown

for geocities, they give you 15mb of space. angelfire gives you 20mb of space. and freewebtown gives you 1gb of space.

well, it depends on the space allowed for the website (like when i said for geocities they give you 15mb) and on the content you decide to put on the website. let's say, you decide to just make a personal website. you'd just probably put in information about you, maybe some pictures and stuff. that normally wouldn't take up much space and can be hosted on the websites i mentioned earlier.

as for the picture as your nickname, did you already have a particular picture you wanted to use? do you have one stored in your computer that you wanted to use? if so, you'd have to upload it to your website host or an image hosting site. or if you've found one from a website that you'd like to use, just right click it, go to properties and you'll see "Address (URL): http://blah.blah.com/blah.jpg" highlight and copy the url then just paste it in the code, right between the " " it would look like <img src="http://blah.blah.com/blah.jpg"> then just copy that code and place it where you would type in your nickname.

hopefully that explains it for you.

The bad thing about freewebtown is that the host goes down during a certain time than goes up during a certain time.

image hosting site:
photobucket
photojerk
etc.

for freewebtown, once you use up your 1gb of bandwitdh for the month, that's it. you can't host any of your images and whatnot until it refreshes the next month, or if you buy more bandwidth. i would suggest signing up with geocities, since i know that when you use up all your bandwidth, it'll be up again in an hour or so. not sure how long it'd take for angelfire, since i rarely use that anymore.

i can't come up with any tips, but it'll get easier as you go along. and whatever you need/want to know, you'll most likely find it if you just search for it.

Did you asked for a free web-host?
Try "members.lycos.co.uk"..
It gives a few space but,
you can use PHP and MySQL!!!

I prefer to use it for it's PHP and MySQL..
In fact,I didn't used MySQL before as my forum saves
