anyone know of gankutsuou? i just finished the anime and all i can say is...WOW. it's become one of my all-time favorite animes. i think the story was well-done; it's very interesting. the graphics are absolutely stunning. although the unmoving patterns annoyed me at first, but then i got used to them. ^^; the opening video is just plain horrible. do not judge this anime by it's opening video. a lot of people i know do not like the opening video. although the ending is pretty good. i love the ending song. ^_^ simply put, i think it's truly a great anime.     |

I think every anime is great... except some very ugly anime of course ... some of them thus i like wanna be my friend like you know... anime world is Soooooo Big.... Watashi wa Anime DaiSuki ......errrr sorry if my english bad...(-.-) |

I was amazed by Gankutsuou, one of the best animes in this year nad the animation style was annoying at first but then i cant think of a better animation style to fit a furturistic france, it had that elegance to it. And it fit better to the true story of the Count of Monte Cristo than any of the movies.

| I like Gankutsuou!! Just not the unmoving pattern, the opening song, and the fact that Peppo (did I spell that right?) was a guy (shocking, yes). I've only seen the first four eps though. YOU WON'T SEE ME COMING--- UNTIL I STRIKE!!! |

I like Gankutsuou, too!! v(^∀^;;)v 笑 The story is very interesting.. And after watching several episodes, I was hooked! (*O_O*) The graphics are amazing, too! But if I lived in a world that looked like this anime, I'd be like.. (@_@;;;) 笑 Oh, and I like the opening video. (^-^;;) The piano is nice, and the lyrics kind of tell the story between Edmond Dantès, Mercédès, and Fernand de Morcerf (Mondego), I think... And I like how the video shows the soft side of the Count.. o(^-^)o It's deceiving, though! |

i like this anime, too the opening is not that bad.. i like it hehehe.. especially the song the story.. what can i say.. it is derived or based on the novel Count of Monte Cristo.. i haven't read the novel, but i've watched the movie and i love it.. XD almost the same with the anime except the anime turns out that albert is not edmond's son hehehe... ^__^" WAIT AND CLING TO HOPE!!!  |

Hi, I almost watched 10 episodes already. This anime is very nice. especially the graphics and all. what can you expect, it was made by the creators of Sakura Wars, Last Exile, etc. in which the art and CGI are good. Is it true that Albert is only adopted? thanks for spoiling, but that makes me more interested to watch it more (kinda busy with work :-)). |

well my friend has it and he wants me to barrow it but i said no thnx cuz i really dont wanna watch it with no reason at all. but he said that its a good anime he told me some spoilers but im not interested on watching it.. but i think its cool |

I got up to Epi. 3 . So far so good. GONZO did a brillant job on the animation. It's a enjoyable series.  ~

A friend of mine from France knows the guy who did wrote the French pevious-episode recaps. Anyway, it's one of my favorite animes...so intricate and full of intrigue! Truly a wonderful spin on the Count of Monte Cristo.  |

Nice show... I guess a futuristic version of the novel? Anyway, it has the nice ending song and a great creativity on designing the characters and the coulour used for the show? It's rather too retro isn't it?  |
