Question and problem about IE...

Well...I have been downloading music from some site using IE, because it cannot download form Google Chrome. I'm just wondering...why is the file type "Google Chrome HTML Document" or something like that. It wasn't been like these past few days; I have been able to download for about 6 songs, different days or so. It was just been like that this year, when I was trying to download with IE and with that website. Please, can someone help me on how to have it back to MP3 file type? I want that song badly (and bad luck: it's not on gendou.). Please help! And if possible, can you tell me what had caused it to be "Google Chrome HTML Document" file type? Tell me if you want to know the site; I'll link it. THANKS!! it looks like the problem is where the song was founded. I think now it is solved. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the ones who answered. it looks like there are no more problem, the problem is likely to be at the site where the song was founded. |

Have you try using other browser (anything beside IE)? I'm afraid it's not only you who encounter the same problem. Could you PM me the link to the site? I'd like to try it by myself.

the name of the .html file becomes 'Google Chrome HTML Document' if you set your default browser into Google chrome. So basically it's just a .html file. It's normal and it has nothing to do with changed file system, except that it just opens with Google chrome. Why can't you download it from your Google chrome? Is it plugin related? You could send me the link to try it. I'm using chrome since its release and so far I don't have any problems with any site or whatsoever.

I think the problem was coming from the site where the MP3 (which Lord of Lightning wants to DL) was taken at; it's just returning a HTML file. Getting the same result, anyone? Or the case is solved.

I already tried the link. I say that the site doesn't have a problem, or rather, it's not really a problem. Yeah, you can't download it directly since using the 'save link as...' option brings you a .php file. Because it's Google chrome, just open it in a new tab and let it play. After the download finishes (you can say that it has finished downloading by looking at its progress bar), you can then save it to your computer by 'save page as...' option. Then viola, you got the mp3. Sorry for the late reply...
