Closed the RP due to a lack of participation, please do not post. Plot: Welcome to Alton, a small and quaint country town. And yet, this small, sweet town has an air for mystery... That's where the Riding Star Investigators come in! They are a small group of amateur investigators, who investigate small crimes, usually just for fun. However, as these small crimes in this small town have become more and more serious, they have decided to start helping out the local police by taking on more serious cases, in order to stop the crime in Alton and make their town a safer place. Setting: In 1960's America, a small town along Route 66 in northern Texas, called Alton. It's the only town off of the highway for about 3 hours in either direction, so they get a lot of people coming through it (And a lot of odd characters as well). Rules: - All normal Gendou City and Gendou rules apply. - No superpowers or anything here, they're all just normal people who are also amateur investigators. - Only one character per player. - Love is always allowed just keep it PG-13. - There will be no killing in this RP. (Why would they want to kill a fellow investigator? And why would they want to kill a witness or suspect?) - Posting can be in any format as long as we can understand what you're doing. If you're using novel format, be sure to use quotation marks for dialogue ("Like this") and italics for any inner thoughts (Like this). - If you have not posted in the RP for more than a week or so (Without PMing me), I will PM you to see if you're still in it. If it's been more than 2 weeks and I don't get some sort of response from you (Whether you post in the RP or reply to my PM), then you're out of the RP. - If you have any questions or ideas, just PM me. - And have fun! Investigator List - Liberty Payton - Sam Carter - "John Smith" - Andrew Walton - Kaiya Sandiego - Marisa Stanford - Raphael White - "Milo" Hamilton - Alice Ziegler - Kenji Kurayami Name: Liberty Payton Gender: Female Age: 16 Occupation: High School Student Personality: Bold, confident, and cunning. She is very intelligent, however her grades and attendance record doesn't show it. She is also a tomboy, and when she's not in girly clothes she will be mistaken for a guy due to her short hair and 'rough' personality. She is also very artsy, and is often found either drawing (Perfected by her constant doodling in class) or painting. Bio: Liberty is originally from a city about 7 hours away from Alton. When she was only 4 years old, her father died due to injuries he got from a car accident. Liberty, her mother, and her younger brother moved to Alton after his death, to live with her grandparents. Liberty grew up as a normal child in Alton, and is still fairly normal. When Liberty was 14, her grandfather died. In his will, he insisted that Liberty take over his amateur investigator group, the Riding Star Investigators. Liberty did so to honor his wishes, and she has been the leader of the group ever since, holding the meetings of the group in her basement and taking on any case that comes to them. Appearance:   |

Name: Sam Carter Gender: Female Age: 18 Occupation: High School Student||Part-timer Musician. Personality: A keen observant yet sometimes stupid. She looks like a smart looking girl but when she speak, she sometimes say something irrelevant. Rebellious attitude yet fluent in motion so she tends to be a little savior to her clumsy friends. When you look at her in class she looks like listening to the teacher but if you look a lot closer she is actually listening to music. A natural born music lover. Bio: A daughter of an infamous conductor in an orchestra that had been killed during her last performance. Her mother died due to some mysterious illness. She didn't receive any inheritance since it was inherited to her aunt, her father's older sister. She was forced to live in her uncle in her father's side in Alton. She was twelve years when she started to play her violin and being tutored by her uncle that seems to have a lot of money even though he's not working. Appearance:  |

Name: James Cartwright Gender: Male Age: 28 Occupation: Attorney Personality: He's a relatively quiet man who always thinks things through. He's known to be inquisitive, but generally he's a nice man. He's generous and always helps his fellow detectives out. Bio: James was born into an upper middle class family who lived in Washington DC. While he was young, his father got sent to fight out in WW2. After excruciating months of being alone with his mother, his father returned alive and well, except for the fact he had a splinted arm. After that, his childhood went as normal as possible except he always questioned things more than his fellow students. By the time he was a Freshman in Senior High, he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life, and that was become an attorney. He always had a knack for the law and investigations were always fun as well. After his first court case, he began walking out of the courthouse, but a mysterious man stopped him and asked if he wanted to do some sleuthing on the side. James accepted and became one of the Riding Stars Investigators. Since then, the man who recruited him has died, but his Granddaughter is in the same business now. James is currently with his troupe investigating cases in Alton with them; however, he is an amateur detective like the rest of the group. He had to fly out to Texas specifically for this case. Name: "John Smith" Gender: Male Age: 24 Occupation: Substitute Teacher, also does odd jobs around the town Personality: It takes some time for "John" to warm up to new people, but once you get to know him you'll find out that he's genuinely nice guy. And even though he enjoys the company of other people sometimes he just wants to be alone for a while. Bio: "John" isn't a native of Alton, he moved into town about two years ago. When asked about his reason to come here he says that he received a letter from Liberty's grandfather asking for him to come and since he liked the town and how it felt he decided to stay. He first met Liberty while he was visiting her Grandfather. He is known as a jack of all trades and is often seen around the town working on this and that. He's an expert marksman with both pistol and a rifle and can sometimes be found practicing off the city limits or in the firing range. Appearance:    |

I'm In! Name: Andrew Walton Gender: Male Age: 20 Occupation: Bartender Personality: Kind, Energetic young man. Skilled at juggling (Perfected when he was just started to tend his father's bar). Ace on Math subject. Likes to smoke Bio: Born in Alton, highest academic degree that he got was High School, he was the only son of the local bar's owner there. His parents died when he was 18. Right before he moved for Chicago, the place where he will continue his academic activity. Right after the funeral, he decides to continue their business. He hires his childhood friends, Jessica and Owen... To help him taking care of the bar while he was away investigating with the Riding Stars. When the bar isn't open for business. He mostly found at the Memorial Park or in front of the local bar. Usually found smoking. Appearance:  |

Name: Kaiya Sandiego Gender: Female Age: 24 Occupation: Malt Shop Owner, Part-time Mortuary Assistant (Only when nessacary) Personality: Kaiya is is friendly, humorous in her own way, sensitive, caring, and kind. She has also demonstrated that she is perceptive when it comes to people's mental and emotional state. She has shown to be the most 'motherly' of all the Riding Stars. However, she can be quite violent when needed to deal with unruly customers. Bio: Born to an American father and German mother, Kaiya's early life was full of prejudice. After her mother passed away when she was 5, she and her father moved to Alton. Having spent most of her life here, she is considered a resident of the town just like anyone else. After graduating high-school, she opened a malt shop on Main Street named '7th Heaven'. Her shop is very popular with the locals and the teenagers and also serves as a meeting area for the Rising Stars. Although she lives in an apartment above her shop, she often visits her father who stays in the Residential area on Jackson Street. Whenever a death or murder occurs she help her father out (he is the local mortician). Appearance:     |

Name: Marisa Stanford Age: 16 Gender: Female Occupation: Student Personality: Mostly a go-getter, she's intelligent, hyperactive, and curious about everything. She always smiles, even when in trouble. Bio: Growing up, Marisa enjoyed solving mysterious things, whether anyone liked it or not. She always tried to find weird things to investigate, and was picked on because of it. But no matter what happened, she was always on the case. When she had heard about the Riding Stars, she decided to join them, in hopes of gaining fame for investigating mysteries. Appearance: She is around 5'5", Tan-colored, with brown eyes, always wears her lucky headband and backpack (full of her investigating stuff, of course.)  |

Alright, the profiles are looking good so far, there are just a few things that need to be fixed. If I don't comment on your profile, then that means it's fine. Also, a few things have been added to the rules, but that's just about posting format. It's nothing too big, just some basic stuff. @ Haseo- This is something small, but your character couldn't have been born if he was alive when his father was sent out to WWI. So that would have to be switched to WWII. Also, was he sent out to investigate Alton for something different? Because the Riding Stars aren't out to investigate the town, they're a group of amateur investigators who take up cases in the town. @ Roxas- Uh, I don't see how Kaiya can do mortuary work when it isn't her trade. People are trained for that sort of thing, and it wouldn't make much sense for her to be doing something like that if she's just a shop owner. It would make sense if her father tells her about things, but it wouldn't if she just kind of helps out. Also, I don't know if you mean that the shop is the headquarters for the group or if it's just a meeting place. If it's just a meeting place, then that's fine. And another small thing is that the shops on the map are facing Main Street, not Elm Street. (That's just a small thing though, it's just that most shops are on and facing the busiest street, which is Main Street). |

Interesting. ..guess I'll join Name: Kira Yamato Gender: Male Age: 21 Occupation: Motorcycle garage Owner Personality: He is very kind and helps those in need whenever he can Bio: Kira is a japanese who imigrated to America when he was young. He grew up somewhere close to Alton, but never too close. His parents died at a car accident at a young age and was later on taken in by his relatives who live in America a lot longer than kira or his parents. Since then, he went on with his life going to university taking degree for engineering and such along with a few tips from his Uncle who owns a garage that fix and sells motorcycle. After kira had finally graduated from University, he took over the family business and became sole owner of the Yamato Garage. During his years at University, his name was wide-spread for he was consider a expert on engineering, for it always seems that whatever he made or fixed seem to be alive. Because of this, this caught the Riding Star Investigator attention and seek him out and asked if he would join them which Kira accepted the offer. Beside an expert at fixing and making motorcycle is also an expert at making weapons in secret. Appearance:   |

Name: Kazuma Bon Gender: Male Age: 20 Occupation: College Freshman Personality: Calm, outgoing, free, Bio: Kazuma is a college freshman majoring in world history. Because of his ability to blend in with many crowds, he was recruited by the rising stars and has helped close many investigations. When he is not in school or working, he's at home playing music and eating noodles in his boxers or roaming around town checkin out the sights. @Toyumi - The shop is something like a place to hang out. The best way to describe it would be...like Ernie's Juice Bar in the original Power Ranger series. -I adjusted her shop to be on Main Street. -As for helping her dad out, she has been raised by the man alone for almost 20 years. She's bound to pick up something about his work. She does minor things like cleaning his tools, handing him his tools, etc. She is an assistant to him, she does not do the actually work' just minor things around like cleaning the coffin and such. |

time to get back on RP-ing, this seems interesting Name: Raphael White Gender: Male Age: 33 Occupation: Town doctor Personality: Kuudere. He's cold and ignorant and doesn't talk much, but you can tell that he's all dere-dere inside. When he does talk, he's a full-on cynic with lots of snarky comments that makes you feel like a total idiot. A lolicon..... although this is just a speculation from the neighbor wives, since Raphael only shows his smile to the gradeschool students Bio: The prodigal son of Texas's famous doctor, Michael White, Raphael wasted his medical talents as a doctor and chose to live an easy life of a mediocre salaryman, studying abroad and enrolling himself in a foreign company. Just after he secured a high-ranking position, he found out that his father was stabbed to death in Alton, forcing him to return to America. The case was deemed as a suicide, and was quickly closed before Raphael even arrived at the hospital. Raphael was overwhelmed with anger and guilt, he knew that the case is definitely a homicide. Displeased by the sloppy actions of the doctors and police officials, he swore to be a competent medical examiner, leaving his job and entered a medical academy. Since then, Raphael had changed, becoming aloof and cold, almost emotionless. However, he secretly harbors an unspeakable vengeance deep inside his heart, wanting to find out his father's murderer. After he became a full-fledged medical examiner, Raphael decided to become a doctor in Alton, intrigued by the town's growing rate of criminal acts and his desire to seek the truth behind his father's death. Besides working on a clinic, Raphael acted as the town's medical examiner, helping the police officials with their forensic works. Two years after he moved in to the town, Raphael was asked by the Police Chief to assist the Riding Stars, a group of amateur investigators. The chief needed someone to supervise them, to keep them away from dangerous cases that might threaten their well-being. Raphael, as rude as he is, called this "Babysitting" He reluctantly joined the Riding Stars and can often be found facepalming, "Why the hell do I need to babysit a bunch of kids playing detectives?" (read: he's worried to death about their safety, but is too 'cool' to admit it. If anything Need changing Please Note Me Name-"Milo" L. Hamilton Gender- Female Age- 14 Occupation- Junior High Personality- spirited, energetic young child. She enjoys playfully attacking the people she finds friendly and has a fondness for blowing bubbles with a straw. Bio- Mia Lovewell Hamilton or better known as "Milo" is originally from United Kingdom but her family moved to Alton right after she was born, for unknown reasons. So she finds Alton to be her hometown thought her accent gives her away.She possesses features of someone young for a Junior High school student. She finds solving mystery to be a very intriguing subject, so she is mostly seen around mysterious places and such, sometimes just been mischievous. Though when ever things get serious she can be very helpful indeed.  |

Answer: Either tomorrow or this Friday, whenever I get the time to make the first post. [Edit] @ Haseo- They'll be starting in Alton, and they will already have knowledge of and will be a part of the Riding Stars (This way we can jump right into the first case and not have to wait around too long). Also, I'll be starting the RP this Friday. |
