So anyone seen the premier episode to the sequel of one of the bubbliest anime series of 2008? To refresh people's memories Sekirei is an ecchi manga/anime series catered to guys like me. Similar to Ikki Tousen or Tengo Tenge but less serious and much more laid back. Personally one of my faves of 2008. The sequel takes place right where the last series left off. So hopefully more insight to the story & the characters involved. Speaking of characters...all the faves are back!!! Musubi is still cute, Ku-chan is as adorable as ever!, Tsukimi love her 'fire', Matsu is still perverted, & Miya-san still kicks ASS!!! *note* No fancy setup this time unless you guys want alot of stuff :P  |

i watched it XD pretty nice intro, the army battle and lol Matsu, giving appropriate excuses to do it with Minato XD    |

Haven't seen it yet, but I LOVE the promotion image of the new season. I forget her name, but that lady with the purple open chest dress is SEXY!!! I cannot wait, I have been waiting a long time like Izumo. T-T

@ DAngel-san Oh you mean Kazehana! The one who drinks saki alot & controls wind. Who from what i read in the manga will be apart of Minato's groupie. My fave is Miya-san. The beginning of the new series shows Miya when she was part of the disciplinary squad with Kazehana, Kurasaba, Matsu & some guy/gal i haven't seen yet. Anyways she kicks ass, no wonder she is considered one if not THE strongest Sekirei. Though i believe she is 'retired' and can't participate officially in the battles. There is some bondage in the first episode, some naughty bits with Matsu & off course a bath scene. Yet suprisingly none of the stuff were censored by some mysterious fog machine. The opening sounds nice though i wish they used the song for the PS2 game that i mentioned in the original thread. The end animation for the ending song is cute too. Yeah great series that we waited along time for though 2 years isn't that long. |

I am really happy they are making Sekirei second season. :) I can't wait for the rest of the episodes to come out. |

[@Izumo] That fifth member of the first group, isn't "he" a part of the South's territory leader? He wanted to wing Shiina but failed when Yukari winged him, and then left. I can't say for sure since they didn't show his background in the first series, but I'm sure it's the same person. It just sounds strange if it did make sense because he doesn't fit in with Miya and the others, but he must be really strong then. I guess Matsu was only the haxor of the group and still is in her Ashikabi groupie. XD And yeah, Kazehana and Kagari eventually will be winged by Minato. It sucks, I wanted to get into the manga a long time ago but never did, now I'm as busy as ever when it comes to free time. Miya is definitely "retired", but I think we'll probably meet her husband in this series (in a flashback memory of course). We saw a glimpse of him in the preview/episode 1, but yeah my guess is that he was her Ashikabi. Possibly. The Sekirei Plan, currently, is and has only been the first, so Miya can't be some former winner of it. Must've been before the game was set. I like the look of the new season. Better animation, though the first season had good animation too, but this Pure Engagement definitely has a more crisp artwork quality style which brings out the character's more, and you can sort of see it in the ending where they're in bikini's. Tsukiumi looked really good. ;P I'm excited for this new season. I dLed the preview when it first came out, but I just dLed the entire first season again and saw it through again to get a feel for what I used to love. I hope this season is longer though, there's definitely more to unlock still from what I've read about before. there's still a LOT more Sekirei to see too, so I can't wait. More harem and sexyness, I can't wait! P.S. Every time I see Kagari now, I think of a female version of Kakashi. O.o`

I'm loving the series so much. How i missed the girls & seeing them again in all their 'voluptuous' glory is heaven to my eye. I like how they didn't waste time in getting Minato's fifth sekirei though it was obvious who that would be. She i am starting to like more & more, she is actually quite adorable when she wants to be. Since her sekirei number is pretty high she has quite alot of power & it should in episode 3. Somehow i feel sorry for Benitsubasa she seems cute at times & i live Itou Shizuka-san's voice alot. The comedic moments are still around which is part of the charm of this series...& Minato is a main character that you like to cheer for since he is a genuinely nice guy that only wants to protect those close to him. Anyone of us has wanted to feel that way too right? I looks like 'Kakashi' will be featured next & if i remember there is a pretty hefty story arc in the manga dealing with him/her so it looks like that part will be covered next in the anime. |

Yeah, only episode three and he has five official Sekirei now, crazy. His team is really pumped with Tsukiumi and now Kazehana-san. I really wanted to check out more of the manga, not sure if there's a visual novel game for this anime or not. You'd think for a harem such as this one, there'd be a popular one, especially with all the fanservice. And yeah, jumping to his final Sekerei already, it seems he's winging Kakashi very soon, lol. I hope they do explain him/her a bit though, I guess with this "sex change", she's officially a female now? Kagari that is. Really strange. Expect the fights to start picking up after he wings her, then the deal is done. Seems Kazehana will be fighting Yume very soon, too, she's disappointed her sister has been winged by someone she likes. And yeah, I was a bit surprised to see Minato's mother, of course he'd be a huge relating to MBI. "Flat Chest" really is cute I think, but Hoihane or whatever is pretty funny. I can't wait for every episode that comes out, but it comes out really slow.

I noticed that too that the episodes come out they feel like they are bi-weekly instead of weekly. You have it right there that Minato's harem seems to be the one that is the most "pumped" with Tsukiumi, Kazehana, Mitsubi is no slouch either, Matsu as well seemes well equipped too. Who knows maybe Ku-chan, yes she's still a kid but they do grow up so she may be packing heat as well. I believe there was a PS2 visual novel style game released last year. It was the one with the song "Yakusoku ~i wanna be with you~". The story was that some relatives left Minato with a baby & all hell breaks loose when the girls wanna show him how good a 'mother' they will be. I think that was the jist of the game, this coming from my rough translations of thing i read. I think they should make some sort of 'Street Fighter' style fighting game will all 100+ Sekirei with the main characters as playable while the lesser knowns could be like 'tag-team' assist characters ala Marvel vs. Capcom. I would buy that in a heartbeat. Anyways as for the 4th episode not much happened other than Kakashi feeling uneasy about having feelings for Minato. Also the 'chairman' has opened some sort of competition to who will 'win' the last unwinged Sekirei. So the next episode could be a doozy with all the Ashikabi's gunning for Kakashi & storming the Izumo Inn....will we see Miya-san kick ass....oh i wish!! Cool thing about the episode is we got to finally see all the other Ashikabi's in play. |

well i finish the 1st season and i didn't expect it to be this good and funny man lucky fella who gives him lots of troubles hahaha and who's my fav in case ya are gonna ask well i don't have one yet but i will tell when i make my decision XD

[@Izumo] Yeah I saw the game online last year or whenever. Sekirei doesn't seem like a standout popular game, if a game was made, if anything it'd be an import, and again I wouldn't be able to play it cause it'd either be for PC (Windows), most likely PS2 (PS3, not BC). Regardless of that though, how long is this season going on for? There's still A LOT to reveal though, a third season would be possible, but a longer second season would be more preferred. Yeah, sub groups seem to either release it later, or it's just coming out slower. I'm dLing the episode 4 right now, not from my usual subs for this title, but hey 720p? Why not. XD It'd be so awesome if for JP PSN accounts, they'd make games for the PSN store like that. Although I'd suffer more not having a JP PSN account, but that'd be balling! But pretty much every owner of a PS3 in Japan would still have the PS2 though, which is why it's still selling games every year.

The last few episodes has been pretty interesting, from the winging of "Kakashi" which Minato actually was the one initiating. To some background into the creation of MIB and the Disciplinary Squad....Matsu a part of the 1st squad isn't THAT suprising is it? Again Miya-san is AWESOME!!! Now the real games begin since every Sekirei has been taken, the last sentence in the latest episode where Minaka states those who do not participate will have their Sekirei cease to function. That is setting up the gauntlet for sure. |

Woah, been a while huh? Anyways, I just recently finished Sekire ~PE~ and yeah can expect another third season eventually. Just randomly wanted to watch it for some reason, and re-watched the first season before finishing ~PE~. Everything's almost so rushed when it goes towards the ending, similar ending to the first as well but at least it had closure. Not sure how popular Sekirei is in Japan but I hope they have some 20+ series to finish it off. >_<
