My default browser is Mozilla Firefox. the IE pops out without warning. Even while playing games like CS or just surfing the net, it would pop out. The page displayed is written in different language, probably Chinese. I want to know if what and how it is to be stopped. And also if this is a virus or anything else Thanks in advance on who'll will post here. |

It is only a trojan. Maybe harmless or low threat to your computer. It is a form of advertizement trojan came from a website that you visited before. It secretly install to your computer using your cookie and extracted its codes in your registry, temporary internet files, or in the cookie itself. I just got one before but gives me tremendous irritation while going my work, poping out without notice and slows down my PC in its execution manner. In order to fix it: 1. Try to scan your computer with an updated anti-virus and anti-spyware. 2. Go to your Internet Option and Turn ON your Pop-up Blocker. 3. In the Internet Option also, click your pop-up blocker's settings and set your filter level to High. 4. Empty your Cookies along with your Temporary internet files. I hope this can help you with your problem. |

I want to give you another solution: 1) Download the rkill.exe - it helps stop any malicious activites but it won't stop it 100%. So you need to download something to go with it and that is Malawarebytes' Anti-Malaware. So, download Malawarebytes' Anti-Malaware. 2) Ok first, install Malawarebytes'. 3) After installing, run the rkill.exe. It will close all the other applications and open up the cmd screen - don't worry it's normal. It will stop any malicious activities/programs and after it scans, it will automatically close itself and it will open a log file in a .txt file. 4) To ensure that there are no other programs which can harm your computer, run a "Full Scan" using the Malwarebytes'. Just wait for it to remove everything and then, after it's done (and even while it's scanning), it'll tell you how many objects have been infected. After it gives you the results, all the nasty programs will be removed and quarantined. There you may delete all of them. That is all~ |

Another solution : 1. download anti spyware utilities(ex : glary utilities) and scan for spyware. You may unconsciously install a program for downloading multimedia from a certain that have a spyware in it. 2. Remove IE component from your computer since you using mozilla as your default web browser. |
