Ladies and gentlemen, I present an RP unlike any other. Inspired by the tabletop RPGs Scion and Exalted, mixed in with a good deal of anime-style wildness, this is... God Child The Sons of Fate The Story Eons and eons ago, before man, gods, or the universe existed, there was but a vast void ruled by the old ones, the inscrutable Titans. Creating gods and goddesses in their own image, they began to weave the web of Fate, controlling their own children, forcing them to create new worlds and new beings so that all would worship them, and playing them against each other in mad tableaux of betrayal, love and war. Yet the newly-made gods and goddesses were far too proud a race to be treated as toys, and so they rose up and overthrew the Titans, sealing them in the deepest, darkest corners of the cosmos. Then, they decided to take the universe as their home, and set their sights upon the fledgling race of Man, to care for it and nurture it as their own. But even as they began to reshape the universe in their own image, they knew that one day, the Titans would rise up, and they all would return under the heel of Fate. Thus they walked among Humanity and spread their lineage throughout the world, so that in time, their sons and daughters, unbound by the machinations of Fate, would do battle with the Titans and defeat them once and for all. **** Today, the names of the Gods are long buried in myth and legend. But deep within mankind's veins runs the blood of their progenitors. Now, as the Titans rise from their long sleep, and the cosmos lies in peril once more, the Gods have decided to awaken the latent powers of their scions across the globe. As eldritch abominations rampage across the globe, and panic and disorder is sown, the divine blood that runs in these chosen mortals begins to manifest. You are one of the God Children, scions of the divine. You have the power to change the world. GLOSSARY Gods and Goddesses The gods the ancients worshipped, like Jupiter, Osiris, Quetzalcoatl, etc., are actually creations of the Titans, used to build the universe we know and populate it. They rose up against the Titans and sealed them away, then began to rebuild the universe in their own image, eventually becoming the patrons of the race of Man. Titans The old gods that preceded the creation of the known universe. They created the gods as slaves; however, they were overthrown when the gods rebelled, and sealed away in the deepest parts of the universe. Now, they are re-awakening, and it is the job of the God Children to stop them. God Children Humans with the blood of gods and goddesses in them. They are far stronger, faster, and longer-living than normal men, and are blessed with powers given to them by their godly parents. Note that just because a God Child's parent god is an "evil" god (ex: Set, Loki, Morrigan), it doesn't mean that God Child will also be "evil". Conversely, even if a God Child's parent god is a "good" god (ex: Athena, Quetzalcoatl), that God Child could turn out to be evil. Monsters Creations of the Titans, made to ravage the earth and kill the God Children before they can gain the power to oppose them. They range in size from creatures barely bigger than a dog, to massive, continent-sized horrors. Are pretty much mindless. RP RULES 1.) All normal Gendou.com/Gendou City rules apply. 2.) No God-modding (even if we are all children of gods!) or power-playing. Imbalanced PCs and Mary Sues will be shot: survivors will be shot again, then fed to the Titans. 3.) Avoid one-line or unintelligible posts. I'm not strict on the use of language so long as everyone can understand your writing. 4.) No killing characters without my permission (and the permission of the killee). 5.) Up to two characters per player only. 6.) If you're going to quit or take an extended leave of absence, please PM me. 7.) If you have any ideas for the plot or have any questions, please PM me. I also accept criticism and any violent reactions you may have. 8.) Rule of Cool: If it's awesome and it makes the story even better, it's allowed. This means that you can dual-wield chainsaw swords while surfing on the hood of a Lamborghini Diablo as you fight a giant kraken in the lost city of Atlantis, so long as it moves the story forward and isn't outright power-playing bullcrap. 9.) Romance, whether it's hetero, yaoi or yuri is perfectly allowed; however, keep it to a PG-13 level. Please. 10.) We don't start off with our powers: first, you have to meet your god. I'll talk more about this later. Also, if you want new powers, PM me and ask me for permission. However, he can only command so many souls in this manner before their collective will overwhelms his mind. What happens to him if he loses control over those souls is best left unsaid. PERSONALITY: Quiet, mild-mannered, often prone to daydreaming. HATES being called "emo" and will break his nice guy facade to snark at anyone who calls him that. BIO: Raised in Britain by a single mother, Dylan has always been an odd boy: talking to "spirits" and "ghosts" instead of talking to other boys and girls, reading about the old myths of gods and Titans instead of comic books, wearing a miniature skull carved from hematite as a necklace... Yes, Dylan always was a weird soul. But now, as all the old myths seem to be coming back, Dylan isn't so odd anymore. [ My character ] NAME : Ushio Tsuki mikoto NICKNAME || TITLE : Red Moon GENDER : Male AGE : 19 OCCUPATION : university Student HOBBIES : martial arts , History , Philosophy CHILD OF GOD/GODDESS: Tsukuyomi ( Tsukuyomi-no-kami - Japanese god of the moon ) POWER/S || ABILITIES : -- Akai Tsuki : Once the seal in his right eye is activated he can put his opponent Under the control of his Illusions For ( 1 minute if used at night , 30 seconds during the day ) in real time although it will seem longer for his opponent. Though his ability is not perfect while under the Illusion Any physical damage dealt to his opponent will be Dealt straight back to Ushio and also while using Akai Tsuki ushio cannot use ANY of his other abilities. -- ketsueki Tsuki : this ability cannot be used in conjuction with Akai Tsuki. ushio Creates a Blade of his own blood . If used during the day the wound he inflicts on himself will heal like a mortal , if used under the moonlight his wound will heal , the blade shimmers red comes directly from off his forearm ( Imagine Ed elrics metal blade on his arm ) -- Moonshine : If he is touched by moonlight his wounds heal faster and he can see in the dark , If he fights during the day his healing is slower and his abilities are less powerfull. As you can see most of my abilities are a double edged sword. PERSONALTY : Smart , kind , quiet , Introspective BIO : Ushio was Born on the stroke of midnight to Japanese Parents. Born and raised in Britain he was top of his class for most his subjects. he is not anti-social but he enjoys his time alone studying and reading . his faveourite things to study are history , Mythology and Philosophy. His father is a Kendo Teacher but passed away not long after his mother died 8 years ago. His father died 2 years ago but he taught Ushio all he knew about kendo before he did. Ushio was interested in history so kendo wasn't just a physical thing for him it became a hobby that reflected his own. He now studies in a university but he has his own small apartment due to his mother being a actress his family left him quite a bit of money. If he is too unacceptable, I will create a new one instead. ____________________________________________________________________________ NAME: Ulquiorra Cifer NICKNAME/TITLE: The Green Rain of Despair GENDER: Male AGE: 21 NATIONALITY: Japanese OCCUPATION: An internationally renown musician with several awards under his belt. Also pursuing a masters in medicine from The University of Nottingham. HOBBIES: Reading, training, drawing and writing songs CHILD OF GOD/GODDESS: Minerva, Roman Goddess of Wisdom (Mother)  POWER/S: Considered to be one of the mightiest God-Child by many. Though he rarely engages in it, Ulquiorra appears to be highly skilled in swordsmanship. He is capable of using his speed for flawless precision and to inflict lethal attacks without much effort. Ulquiorra prefers to wield his sword with his right hand, leaving the other hand free, though it usually remains in his pocket. He is quite adept at blocking. He has shown to rely mostly on hand-to-hand combat, rarely drawing his sword at all, many speculate that he only draws his sword against opponents he considers "worthy". In addition to his remarkable combat prowess, Ulquiorra is also gifted with great insight and understanding of situations at hand. He moves at an excessively fast speed in combat, so fast that many find it hard to even discern his movements at first. His intelligence is such that even his mother is often shocked by it. While not openly stated, it has been seen repeatedly that Ulquiorra's skin is highly durable even by God-child standards. He can deflect attacks of similar power barehanded. He hides his true power and form by sealing it in a katana. This is because his power is too great to be left unchecked. He posses 3 special abilities: 1)True Form - By using the command "Enclose, Murciélago" he releases his true form. When released, he unleashes a black (with green outline) burst of spiritual energy that falls around Ulquiorra as green rain. In his true form, Ulquiorra becomes bat-like in appearance. While in this form he gains large black bat wings on his back, his hair becomes longer and wilder, he gains a helmet of sorts atop his head, with two large horns extending outward to the sides towards the front. The lines on his face become black, broader and more triangular and his fingernails lengthen. His attire becomes more form fitting and closed at the top, becoming more like a robe towards the bottom. In this form, he can use his wings for flight. He gains even greater physical abilities in this form. He is shown to have the ability to generate green energy javelins. He uses them as ranged weapons throwing them at an opponent and as a melee weapon. 2)True Form: Segunda Etapa (Second Stage) - Ulquiorra refers to his second state as "True Despair" because the immensely dense power it releases instills despair upon those around him. While he retains his black wings, his long white coat is gone, revealing a more defined musculature with his chest bare and hole in his sternum dripping black, blood-like liquid. His waist becomes covered in something similar to black fur, which also covers his arms and legs. His fingers grow claw-like extensions and his feet become like talons. His irises of his eyes turn yellow while the sclera becomes green. The tear-like marks under his eyes increase and turn black. His helmet turn into two long horns. He grows a very long and thin but powerful tail which is capable of being used as a weapon or to lift and strangle a victim. Ulquiorra's already vast power is significantly increased furthermore upon entering his second stage. Even being within the vicinity of his release instills despair on those who can sense it. Some speculate that the despair and hatred he feels towards life is what caused him to acquire this form (this saddened his mother to the point of tears). 3) Lanza del Relámpago (Spanish for "Lance of the Lightning") - A javelin-like weapon using his power, which he can use as a projectile or as a physical weapon. When thrown, it produces an incredibly-destructive explosion on impact. Ulquiorra prefers to not use the attack at close range, most likely because the resulting blast would damage himself. While he can use these spears in rapid succession, he has difficulty controlling their trajectory. Ulquiorra is also able to use this attack as a blade, and he can use it to either disintegrate material upon impact or to cut. PERSONALITY: A very cold, callous, dispassionate figure, and is rather aloof, brooding, and indifferent, willing to harm both his comrades and enemies should they ever get in his way. He refers to anyone he does not find interesting as "trash" and treats them as expendable. He claims he does not believe in human emotions, which he refers to as the "heart", reasoning that if his eye cannot see them, then they do not exist. These words, and much of Ulquiorra's overall behavior, can lead one to assume that he is a firm believer in the concept of materialism and nihilism. His cold demeanor allows him to stay completely calm and in control in most situations, and he is not easily surprised or caught off-guard. However, he does not seem to comprehend the human trait of fighting against all odds or the very concept of the Human heart/emotions. He is also highly perceptive, cunning, and analytical. While he prefers not to dirty his hands, Ulquiorra is fully capable of committing truly abhorrent and inhumane actions without feeling any shred of remorse or hesitation. This makes him a rarity amongst those on the good side. He accepts that he is not liked amongst those who fight for good (his allies) but sees himself as the only one whom is willing to do whatever it takes to destroy his enemies. Much of his personality stems from growing up alone and not liked. This also makes him have a bad relationship with his mother(Minerva) whom is sorry at his situation and constantly tries to bond with him to make up for causing his suffering. This subsequently irritates him as in his eyes, she only care about him because he is strong (which saddens her further). He only sings songs as they provide an extremely good source of income for him (he is possibly the riches amongst the God-child's). BIO: An orphan abandoned by his family. His cold personality results in him being orchestrated by others even when young. His talent in singing was noticed and he was offered a contract by Sony Music. He accepted only to acquire money for himself. Currently in England preparing a new album while studying at his university. He is set to become a villain during the mid-half or a bit earlier of the story and kidnaps several characters important to the God Child's (such as Tifa Lockheart who is Genesis's childhood friend). Quote: "Hearts, you say? You Humans are always so quick to speak of such things. As though you carry your hearts in the very palms of your hands. But this eye of mine perceives all. There is nothing that it overlooks. If this eye cannot see a thing, then it does not exist. That is the assumption under which I have always fought. What is this "heart"? If I tear open that chest of yours, will I see it there? If I smash open that skull of yours, will I see it there?" APPEARANCE: Normal:  True Form:  True Form - Segunda Etapa:  EXTRA: Ulquiorra's true form is sealed in the form of a standard sized katana with a green handle and sheath named Murciélago (Spanish for "Bat"). The guard has two curved extensions from its long sides, with a line going through both sides to give it an eye-like appearance.    |

NAME: Saphos Aqua NICKNAME/TITLE:Saph the Shapeless GENDER: M AGE: 20 NATIONALITY: American OCCUPATION: Student, Part-time Worker at a museum HOBBIES: Playing video games, swimming, writing, reading CHILD OF GOD/GODDESS: Atum, the Egyptian Finisher. POWER/S: Morph-Ability to turn to a serpent, mongoose, lion, bull, lizard, ape or water Summon Armaments-Creates weapons out of thin air. However, not as effective with other weapons as with a spear. Cannot be used while using morph Storm-Commands wind and water elements, minimal use during morph PERSONALITY: An anti-social, keeps people away from him by being cold and silent but when alone, he shows lighter side. He usually shows it to close friends and family. BIO: When he was young, he usually listened to his father's story of gods and mythology. Being the only son of an archeologist, he became interested in learning history. Back then he was very open to people and was very happy about his current life. One faithful day, as a middle school student, he was attacked by a group of thugs on the street. Out of fear, he accidentally morphed into a lion and maimed his attackers, killing them. After snapping out and realizing what he has done, he quickly escaped. The police has never found the one hat killed the thugs. On one instance, he almost injured his parents because of losing control of his power. After that, he became the anti-social person he is today. On one of her trips, she fell in love with Takayama, Japan; as a result, she took formal lessons on speaking Japanese and moved there; where she met Susanou through a series of strange events. Having a God for a father, Danza naturally grew up fatherless and with people assuming he was crazy. He was seven when his mother was admitted into a mental hospital for confirming the child's insistance that his father was Susanou. From there, he lived with his aunt who immersed him into the world of modelling with her girls, who were a few years younger than him. He is now living — and has been for the past three years — with his manager, Keiichi, and a former model/aspiring aesthician, Nanase.]

Just remember you won't have all your powers at the beginning: just the weakest. @ Roxas: Your powers seem to be too advanced for this stage in the story. I suggest you tone it down. Same with your skills/hobbies.]

@Icareal: Actually I'm planning to have my character as an antagonist character for the God Child's for the mid-half of the story. He wont appear much early on but will be an antagonist later whom after defeated will join up (by the final stage most enemies will be powerful enough to challenge him). This makes him similar to Byakuya from Bleach who went from antagonist to secondary-protagonist. To add to this, I am also creating a new character who will act normally with the others until Ulquiorra comes into play. Here is my new character: _______________________________________________________________________________ NAME: Genesis Rhapsodos NICKNAME/TITLE: Boss-man and Bubby(only by his two little sisters) GENDER: Male AGE: 23 NATIONALITY: Scottish OCCUPATION: Museum Curator/Part time business student HOBBIES: Painting, Going on Archeological expeditions and Spending time with his sisters. CHILD OF GOD/GODDESS: Quetzalcoatl, The patron god of the Aztec priesthood, of learning and knowledge. (Father) POWER/S: Genesis is a skilled swordsman and is very strong and agile. He has two special abilities and develops his third later in the story: 1)Magic Manipulation - Genesis is able to manipulate the ambient magic in the air for his own uses. The more magic in the air, the more powerful his attacks become therefore he is at his best in places of high magic concentration or with ley lines. However at first he can only channel his magic through his blade. Interestingly, when Genesis does this, strange runic symbols appear upon the blade, only for a brief second before the blade becomes illuminated. This increases the cutting power of his blade tremendously.  2)One Winged Angel - Later he can grow a large black wing on his left shoulder. Using it, he is able to fly quite well, and appears to be able to use the feathers of his wing as an attack.  PERSONALITY: Genesis is a very moral and dedicated character. He is honor-bound to protect as many people as he can, and nearly nothing can stand between him and his honor and pride. When he learns of his true origins, he comes to resent himself, feeling that he is truly a monster, unworthy of dignity or honor. He loves nature, and his most valued skill is cooking with leftovers. He is also very playful and loves babysitting his sisters. He often refers to the other God Child's as 'Brats' or 'Meddling Kids'. Genesis is also very afraid of ghosts and haunted houses but often tries to act like he isn't. To this extent, he has several charms and amulets hanging around his office to protect him from evil spirits. His family are die hard fans of Chelsea F.C. BIO: He lived most of his life in Scotland and currently is a museum curator. He has a mother with two younger sisters that have a different father(they are normal humans) than him. His mother is a skilled fencer and taught him swordsmanship. He often babysits his little sisters, Terra and Angela (age 12 and 9 respectively) which he loves as they both adore him. His childhood friend, Tifa Lockheart often visits him but she does not know about the God-Child's until she is kidnapped by Ulquiorra. Quote: "This World Needs A New Hero" APPEARANCE:  EXTRA: Genesis' weapon of choice is the Rapier. Though the blade itself resembles more of a Broadsword, the hilt takes the appearance of one. After the God Child's begins to get their powers, he lets them use his museum as a headquarters of sorts but often complains and threatens to charge them rent. He also has a pet toucan named Tooki and a ragdoll cat named Saya which often joins him in his office and are adored by his family(although his step-father often jokingly questions his mental state for having a toucan). |

The longer the verse the stronger it is, the shorter it is the weaker it is. Fire Conjer: She can take power from the Sun when it's up and use fire to attack,but she can't use it at night,unless there is a some source of light. When she turned sixteen she decided to move to Japan, on her own. At first her family was worried about, but soon they agreed and she left for Japan. [@ Xianna: Your first power is vague. "Singing verses that do various things" lacks a sort of limiting factor that could make it anything other than a Swiss Army Superpower (able to do many things). If you want to keep that power, I suggest you more clearly define that power. Same with the second power. For example, for the song power, you can use it to heal wounds or remove curses. @ Roxas: I suggest you remove Genesis' final power for now, or put it in spoiler tags. (See the FAQ.) @ Zero: I'm sorry, but I cannot allow your character to be the reincarnation of so-and-so, or to have the powers of a mythical beast. Yes, there will be mythical beasts at some point, but you can't be the descendant of one. (That's kinda, well... best not delve into that.) Also, there isn't any reincarnation here. Our characters are all children of gods. Also, I think the "meteor shower power" thing might be a bit too much if your character dropped really big meteors. @ All: Alright, I think we have enough players. We can start tomorrow. If anyone wants to help me with the RP's story, please don't hesitate to PM me. P.S: Now, before anyone cries foul at anything I've said, I'm not trying to be mean here. I'm just trying to make sure that everybody has an equal shot at being awesome while discouraging blatant power-playing and Mary Sues.]

@icareal: uh you put my character under Avian list on your first post, shouldn't it be my character instead of avian's? ^^||| Anyway I made some changes to my second character hope it is good. |
