originally conceived by Maeda Jun, form studio Key, and original character design directed by Na-Ga.The episode 1 is finally out. Here's a quick plot of this show: Angel Beats! takes place in the afterlife, and follows the main protagonist Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. He is enrolled into the afterlife school, which exists as a middle ground between heaven and earth, where students learn to give up any lingering attachments they still have from life before finally going to heaven. While the injuries or cause of death is gone, those in the afterlife school still can feel pain or other things as they did when they were alive. Otonashi meets a girl named Yuri who invites him to join the SSS—Shinda Sekai Sensen (æ»ã‚“ã 世界戦線?, lit. Afterlife War Front)—an organization she leads which fights against God. @ Ken_FF-san If you wanna have a deeper discussion on this anime feel free to visit the "KEY Fanclub" thread (Key Fanclub thread) to get the latest news,vids,& whatnot from this series as well as other works from Key. I've seen the RAW version cause the sub i downloaded was lacking in quality. Anyways the animation quality is top notch so kudos to PA works for the excellent work. That scene with Girl Dead Monster/GirlDeMo :D!! doing their thing (Crow Song is quite cool btw) was really well done in terms of quality. Tenshi for a little gal is pretty formidable, she's almost invincible. Can't wait to see how the series will turn out in telling the stories of these interesting characters. Yeah for a pilot episode the characters are all interesting off the bat, there are not many series out there that can do that. Of course this is Jun Maeda-san we are talking about & everything he touches turns to gold. Anyways it's been a few years since this series was first announced & so far after one episode it is living up to expectations!!!! *note* I posted this in the "buy thread" about CD release dates so i might as well add it here for anyone interested in getting these.
