Wow @ the other thread, talking about the break-up. I hadn't actually heard about this yet, but it's a shame. While the style may have changed with the leaving of Maaki and addition of HALCA, I really thought they were doing well. The style was certainly different, but I thought It could grow! I guess not, now, so it's a real shame that the band is going separate ways. Maybe the remnants will become something else, as it'd be great to see it's members continue as something else or join another group. I'll have to stay tuned. In response to the " what I thought about the new album " and all with HALCA, I thought it was different but would grow into it's own. It may have seemed a bit "forced" however. I still think it could have worked out, so it's a shame it didn't. |

I have the digital single of XYZ yet i couldn't tell the difference between the voices, yet when i hear this, the difference is distinct. Could it be that Makii was singing when they recorded the digital single of XYZ? |

lol, no, she helped write and compose the song. I hope in the future they could possibly return as a band, who knows, I'd be SOOOOOOO happy if Maaki took up a solo career, I love her so much. One question is what would happen if they chose another lead singer of maybe male gender? Just because Maaki was good and a female, they could've experimented and changed with an all male group? I thought it'd be an interesting though, but yeah who knows what'll happen in the future. Speaking of that live, they also did ROSIER which is SUPER AWESOME COVER. ------- |

Everyone I've talked to today about the break-up isn't too surprised, but alot of them were upset it happened and that more couldn't be done to work things out. Another note a couple friends made was that they thought Halca sounded better live then anything else, and when live almost sounded better then Maaki. It would be great to see something happen in the future. In thinking about an all-male group, I could imagine something like ONE OK ROCK or Back-On. To me, H&MC could fit in with similiar styles if they went all male. Least, that's how I would imagine they sound as an all-male group. |

I agree with Shuyin-san that they didn't try to make it work or took the time to iron out the differences, cause it seemed like only yesterday that Halca joined the band. Look i like the band & enjoyed some of their songs & i was looking forward to hearing what they could be like with Halca on board. Now that will not happen & i think it will be a mistake not to have at least tried. They may return one day with a changed attitude & a different direction (yet again). What i don't want to hear is blame on Halca...it was her fault that the band broke up. I say that is BS to those that believe so. Not trying to defend her but that thinking is unfair. Maybe Maaki-san knew it was bound to happen which is why she decided to leave in the first place, she knew there may be friction within the band. All speculation on my part of course. Here is i think a pretty good cover of 'Pride' sung by Halca...she does a good job on it. Even though it was confirmed she was nervous stepping into some big shoes. |

From all I know, Maaki only got marrried and left the band because of that reason. It's not like she got pregnant and has to raise the baby, but she still could've been in the band. I know TONS of bands and musicians who get married/pregnant/etc. and still remain doing the same thing after some needed time off. If you have experience in the music industry, if something doesn't feel right or work, then it's best not to force it. It's best to do something you're comfortable with. Good/popular bands can sometimes break up for idiotic reasons, or unknown reasons at all. This band went through that path, but surely their future is still bright if they keep making music. And about HALCA being nervous, yeah she was (officially released info), but who wouldn't be. She hadn't had any live experience and she joined a band a lot of people like, not only that she took over a position that was arguably intense knowing who the previous position belonged to. ------- |

In most cases on bands breaking up it is usually & always about egos! It is disappointing that some bands can't put these aside for the better of the band. Members get jealous that another is getting all the attention & what not. It happens alot more that sometime we fans don't know about. I remember this being the case for a band i use to like alot...Nightwish who canned their original lead cause she was getting too big for the band. Again this was all specualtion around the web but fans saw it that way. Sorry off topic abit but i don't think 'creative' differences was the whole story. There has to be something more that we will never get to know. The band has been around for almost 7 years which is quite long. I know that they changed record labels which may be this 'creative' difference that was revealed...the band wanted one way while the label wanted another...a conflict of interests maybe? |

Pride sounds pretty good with Halca, but you caaaaan tell a difference. Still good! And they had to "officially" say that Halca was nervous? Who thought she WASN'T? I mean really, stepping into the shoes of Maaki and expecting to nail everything and be just as good or better? There's no way anyone wouldn't be nervous. You guys may have a point about Maaki knowing about the possible split though. Even if that's come out that Maaki got married and all because she knew, you can't ever be 100% sure that it will happen. However, if there was even a feeling it was coming, perhaps they should have taken a break/Hiatus before replacing Maaki to get rested and be fresh come their next venture. Oh well — I can't wait for the new and last single though. I'm sure it will be amazing; gotta go out awesome after the years they've had on top of the game. |
