Anime Expo 2010 & conventions coming this year

Hello everyone!! Anime Expo is an anime convention super popular in the U.S. I wanted to know if you plan on attending this year, share your experiences during past expos and maybe plan a Gendou gathering this year over at the Los Angeles Convention Center. You can find some information here: anime expo web page Also, as most of you know, I won the singing competition AX IDOL in 2008. I got to perform at ANIME EXPO 09. This year, the staff is asking us, the attendees who we would like to see. I wanted to ask you, if you would go on AX expo twitter account and suggest me to them ^-^ All you have to say is something like "I would like to see @PamelaMoss9, Ax Idol 2008 perform again this year." Or something along those lines ^-^ I would be very grateful if you do so! I plan to go again this year as well, but I never got to meet any gendounians last year :c hopefully I will this year though. Although I'll only be going on the first day again, so I won't be able to see the main events and stuff. =\

Oooooooh then maybe we can do something the first day ^-^ Hopefully more Gendounians will be going. I met about 5 gendounians last year :D It was exciting! |

I was planning on meeting up with you guys last year, but I wasn't able to check my inbox before I left. Terror had sent me his number so we could hook up. I wanted to meet all of you, since I've never met any fellow Gendounians in real life. The only people I heard that went last year was me, you, Terror, Shinta, and Kyuzo. That's five right there, but you said you met five, which means there was one I didn't say. Which Gendounian may that be? I also planning on making a sign (with the AX10 staff's permission of course,) that says "Gendou.com user: haseothetwilight 'Haseo,' is here ↓" that way, anybody walking around can find me. And I was sad I missed the gathering, but I fear I may be on a leash again this year, because I went with friends from school last year and plan on going again. The only time I was free, and off the leash was wen I was in the Exhibit Hall, trying out the Beta version of "Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3," to which I got the full version for christmas. And since I'm on a leash, i won't be able to go to any gatherings and such :c

well i'm just going through the forums when i found this thread... well, i can't go to anime expo since i live on the east coast and anime expo is in LA. but the forum title also says '& conventions coming this year' so i would like to say that i will be going to 2 (maybe 3) conventions this year that will be on the east coast. the first one is AnimeNEXT, which is in NJ. this one i'm going to with either my cousins and/or some of my friends. both my cousins and my friends went last year, but i was unable to go for some reason... but they had a fun time there so they're going back this year as well. this time i'm going with them. from what i've heard, this convention is huge. ^^ the next one is Connecticon, which is in CT. i've been to connecticon two years in a row now, and it's alot of fun. there is so much to do there, and i've had a good time going to their workshops, and browsing the artists section. i always go on the main day, so i'm there for most of the good stuff. ^^ i might be going to the New York Comic Con as well. last year this convention was actually 2 seperate conventions, one for comics and one for anime (or at leats that's what i was told by one of my friends that went there). but now they're combinging it into one big convention (again, this is all what i was told, i need to check the website to see if it is true). i was able to go last year, but i'm planning on going this year. however, i may end up not going, so this is the one i am unsure about... i will try to find the websites for these three conventions and add them to this post as well... will edit later. I'm hoping to get out to AX again this year and see you guys (again). :3 That was too much fun that I think I may try to get out there every year I can. :o In the mean time, a group of students at my school are planning to go to Anime Milwaukee this March and I'm hoping to get a (much better) cosplay by then. -_-' Ah, but we'll see about that (Ah Pame, you still haven't sent along that photo from last year. >_<)

I might be going to Expo this year *wink wink* maybe we can go out and have some fun *wink wink* HAHAHAHA!!! I bet you can easily distinguish me if i'm there, i'm obviously the prettiest one that will be there! xD, anyways yea, it'd be nice to see you guys if I'm. Nothing like meeting fellow Gendounians! then again my friends will also be there as well, SO WE CAN ALL GO EAT DINNER TOGETHER!!!  |

Like I said earlier I'm really wishing to meet all you guys since I couldn't last year. Dang friends keeping me on a leash >.> Dunno if I'm going to cosplay this year though, I haven't really found any good ones that i can easily do. @MTIE: PFT. I believe you were referring to me, being the prettiest one there. lol

@ Pame: no problem! ^^ but i'm so disappointed i can't go to any of the big conventions out on the west coast... so i have to stick to the ones on the east coast. however, most of them are during the summer, so maybe i could meet someone... ^^ i'm still debating on cosplaying or just wearing a loli outfit to the conventions. a loli outfit would be easier... but a cosplay gives you more attention... such a tough decision! |

Anyone planning to go to E3? It's just after AX, and it's in the LA Convention Center. it's on June 15-17. I really want to go to both, but Ill have to choose between them D:

oOOOH hASEO I might go :D Sooo who's going to Anime Expo this year? I met lots of gendounians last year! <3 Hopefully , I can meet some more this year as well! Oh, so my band is competing in the Battle of the Bands at AX, If you are going, please come by the Nokia Plaza on Day 2 (Friday July 2nd) at 3pm. We waaaant to win! *-* and would love the support! I wa mistaken on the dates XD E3 already happened and ended. Although I might not be able to go to AX AT ALL now because my family got into some financial trouble so there wouldn't be enough money for me to go ^^;

Ill be there =D Day 0 of the anime expo in Cali was a mess. They were really unorganized and for some odd reason we weren't allowed to sit down after standing in place for 3-4 hours lol. :/

I had a lot of fun at the Anime Expo! I actually got to meet with some NEW GENDOUNIANS! :D I just wanted to leave footage of the Anime Expo Battle of the Bands, which my band won *-* If you have pictures, or footage, share it! |
