apparently at comic con 09 they made a teaser for anime halo!!!....??? its called halo legends and MC even has his own METEOR attachment like gundams do. even anime drawn chicks at 1:00

I can only wonder if it will air in Japan, because I assume it would be airing in america first -- just no idea where they would do it. May be released only on Xbox Live? Why, by god, is there now a Halo titled anime!? It's not actually going to be a seasonal-series, it's going to be a series of seven films, apparently. Ugh, can't look down upon the studios involved, and the director of Appleseed and GITS are a part of this, too. *sigh* Another reason for Halo fanboys to start going crazy-school-girl with this title... [@Naru] What happened last year?

LOL CALL ME HALO FANBOY IF YOU MUST. Master Chief in Anime, Owning everything around? >_>... You can't go wrong with that ~ @ DA — You say there are Seven Films? That would be pretty cool. Somehow, that makes me think about " Animatrix". You know, that series of Anime shorts and stuff based on The Matrix. If that's the case, it should be good. I liked the fact they had some humans in the preview, meaning they may focus on some other characters and the human-side of it all. I'm mostly excited for the prospect of new stories and getting to see more done with the Halo Universe besides just MC, haha. |

I wouldn't say I'm a Halo fanboy. I like the games, I like the story behind them, but it's hardly my favourite franchise. Still, a Halo anime does sound cool.

| @shuyin- if it is only released on xbox live then it probably would fail, because if released in Japan. Japan is predominately Sony, and if an anime can't survive in Japan then that's what is called a gamble. |

Well Halo is an American made franchise and is pretty popular in Asia and Europe, so I can see this making a DVD/Blu-Ray release worldwide. I mean people must have had similar concerns about Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Resident Evil: Degeneration, but look how they turned out. You can buy them everywhere, I bet it'll be the same with this.

@DA- You're surprised? They've got between 2 to 4 Halo games coming up, why not go all out and tie in a TV Series while they are at it? About all I can say regarding this is that the art looks well done. As far as the concept of the Anime goes I don't care for it. I've never been a fan of Halo. Really it's creation is just to give Halo fans something else to squeal about besides the ever growing list of games based on it, and for Microsoft to try and win over more Japanese consumers so that the 360 can gain a greater foothold. It looks pretty, but it's just Halo in a different format, nothing special, regardless of how many big names you have attached to it. @Devo- Not really. The FFVII and RE movies were pretty much assured to be hits given how big the fanbase for each series is. The Halo anime/movie/whatever other medium MS wants to throw it into is almost certainly going to be a monster hit, if only because of the fan following it has. I don't think there are any concerns about how well this will do, since there is only a small chance this project could fail (that would be assuming that the fans are somehow uninterested in Halo, which is unlikely to happen).    |
