-Follow thier friends (great influence) -Parents never be thier role model (smoke a lot too) or they don't care -Relief stress -Think it's cool These few are main reasons... In Singapore, students are frequently asked to write essays on teenager problems for Chinese Language. So yea, these are the standard reasons teachers always teach us.
Humans are just robots with limited flexibility.

it's because they most likely know what it does it may make em feel better but what it actually does is make them addicted to it and runaway from problems
