I haven't seen anything on it, although I have seen it at the game store. There's a demo on the Playstation Store in Japan and I was going to try it out, so I guess I'll take a crack at it and get back to you.

If I had to make early assumptions, I would say that it's your typical Phantasy Star game, fans will love it and newcomers may find it easy to get into.

I guess its targeted for the not so hardcore gamers. Its not hard to level and get weapons just to finish the game.

The only thing I like about PS: P would be the weapons, and clothes. They are really really cool, but other than that, the storyline is cheesy, the levels are repeatitive.

It's a quest-driven, dungeon explorer-esque game with again, no world exploration (which I have been looking for in this type of games). Aside from the good customizations and multiple weapons. It's just another level-grinding game.

@Jonathon

i've played Phantasy Star Portable inside and out ever since the original japanese release.
it has loads of weapons, armors, cool skills, and great character customization
phantasy star is a series that i have always loved and PS:P didn't disappoint me. it took what they did with Phantasy Star Universe and expanded upon it
PS:P is the prelude to PSU: AotL which i also own for the computer
all in all though PS:P was a great play to sink some time into, tough in a few spots, and an all around fun game
