I heard about this, and I'm looking forward to it (As long as Atlus decides to bring it this way). The English version was pretty crap over here, what with everyone being afraid of the content in it and whatnot so it's about time they did an honest English version. Plus I see Shoji Meguro will be rearranging the original music, and that for me is enough reason to buy it. Shoji doing the music is just plain awesome. |

Rather... More remakes for the psp... Yay? Oh well... At least it's complete overhaul of the game rather than just a port... Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

@Lu-Bu- I suppose you could call it a remake, although I prefer to see it as a new game considering the English port was so bad it might as well have been a different game. I also wasn't fussy on the exploration in Persona, the map was very bland. I didn't get very far in the Japanese version since I kind of lost interest in it. |

I tend to have that effect on others quite often. Persona itself was a good game, however the original English port of the game was badly handled. Bad translation, the removal of side quests and references which people thought were going too far. They also smothered the game in an avalanche of Americanism. Yen changed to Dollars, character portraits were recolored and entirely changed so that they look like Westerners rather than Asians, place names were changed from Japanese to American sounding names, character names, reduced difficulty, the works. So forgive me if I killed your excitement, I simply have an extreme distaste for the localization of the first game. ^^ It is a good game, and you should be excited, I'm just saying that this (PSP remake) is the way the game should have been when it was localized (minus the things that have been honed more over time like FMV's and voice acting of course, because they weren't that easy back then). |

@D.O- I would say Persona is just as good as Star Ocean and Phantasy Star. You are right if you are referring to the sales of Persona games though, Persona is an Atlus game and Atlus is kind of notable for not producing many copies of their games despite how good they are. Persona is kind of a niche title, like most of Atlus's games. Atlus sent me an Email today announcing it. They said more details would be sent to me over the next few months, but from the way they ended the letter it looks like we won't be seeing this game until the Fall. |

@jon- pretty much... their all a good series but atlus just tends to limit persona to the point where they think their not getting enough money but they are cause persona is one helluva series just by looking @ the reviews. i used to have persona 3 & my god i srsly liked it but... it started to get tiring :P |
