PSI-missing by Kawada Mami is out today =D its the first single shes had this yr.. for those who dont know what PSI-missing is, its the OP of To Aru Majutsu no Index =D she's an I've Sound member who has also sang songs for SNS, Onegai Teacher Starship Operators and more =) any Kawada Mami fans here? |

There is another thread to discuss about her here: http://gendou.com/forum/thread.php?thr=21368 but it also discussed Kotoko. If this is a 'fanclub' thread i guess it would be alright. Anyways HUGE fan of all the I've girls ever since their inception in 1998. Followed the careers of the girls for a long time since i play alot of visual novels that often has songs made by them. Next to Kotoko i think Mami Kawada has become just as popular. To me most of the I've songs sound similar nowadays but they are still great. Mami-san's songs i enjoy for their often upbeat, feel good music & lyrics. She has began writing her own lyrics which gives her more credibility. Personally i love her older material but her new material is still good. She'll be around for a long time.  |

haha well i like her old songs too =D i reli like IMMORAL.. but sense is good too.. i think her album SAVIA had reli good songs in it =D wow i've sound came out THAT long ago? i only noticed Kawada Mami in 2004 =( same with kotoko wen my frn told me about shakugan no shana =D |

Well I've didn't really become huge until the release of the AIR visual novel in 1999. The early years they mostly did BGM...i think the vocalists back then are no longer around...i think MELL & or MOMO are some of the original members. Other former members include Lia, Shiho, Ayana (KANON songs)...theres like 20 of them or so. Currently there are 7 vocalists that include Mami. Kotoko joined in 1999 but didn't make it big until her debut HANE in 2004. Mami Kawada joined in 2001 thanks to Eiko who discovered her. Anyways Immoral is a GREAT song...the game it was heard in is a pretty hardcore rape erogame...not a pleasant game. The songs mood & tone works perfectly with the game. It's funny how some songs that sound so darn good are from something that isn't that 'nice'. Another example is Abyss by Kotoko...if you ever read the lyrics from this song it is pretty obvious what it is about :X...*hint* it rhymes with REX! Personally i like Mami-san's SEED album...her debut album. There is one song on this album that i personally love. It is a pretty mellow song with nice music. It is called 'Kanashimi no Mori'...a beautiful song. Being a fan of I've it is great to see vocalists like Kotoko, Mami & MELL become more recognized for their works. No longer are they relugated to making songs for ero-games that not everyone will try. They deserve to be recognized mainstream cause they are great talents! Mami is no exception. |

o ic.. yeh haha i like their music.. tho i dnt like it wen their songs get ero. like F*** ME ..the first song of sum i've album >__> o ill try 'Kanashimi no Mori' =D thx =D btw eclipse is a reli good song too.. any other fans? cant b just us 2 =( can it? XD |

count me in..^_~ i love her songs especially PSI-missing, Akai Namida, and Sense a lot.. Get My Way! was also awesome.. i think it's an ED for Hayate no Gotoku! I just love her songs..  |

That thread should be the KOTOKO thread, and this should be the official (or main) Kawada Mami thread, for easier convenience for discussion. :O

cos wen i was searching Kawada Mami there wasnt one so i started this one =D ye i think it was for hayate but dno where it came in haha i wish she had more songs out more often cos PSI-missing was her first single this yr >:] |

I believe PSI-Missing is her second song of 2008. She contributed a song to Nanoha StrikerS drama CD called 'My Friend' which was released in August. Haven't heard it yet though so no idea what it sounds like. |

@ Juvixty-san Yeah i guess you are right in terms of single releases. The song 'My Friend' isn't a single release cause it was released with the drama cd, but it is her 2nd song of the year figuratively speaking. BTW found the song on the web. Though not downloadable unless you have a program to rip songs from the web. One of her slower songs but it sounds pretty nice. Here is the link to the song: My Friend by Mami Kawada *EDIT* Regarding sgt-san's sig. That is from the visual novel turned anime series called CHaoS;Head. The anime is decent, not as good as the visual novel though. The character is Sena Aoi one of the main heroines in the story. |

yeah undelete is good too =D i think her style differs from KOTOKO's style in many ways, also her voice is really good too but her SAVIA album was really good too =D |

Not sure if anyone has noticed but the PVs for Mami Kawada songs are usually very dark in nature, as well as most of her songs. I think this sets her apart from someone like KOTOKO, although earlier in Mami Kawada's career she didn't write her own music. Either KOTOKO or Eiko wrote her songs, nowadays she does indeed write her own material. Of all the songs i've heard from her not many are actually very cheerful or bubbly. Her older material, songs like Lythrum, I Pray to Stop My Cry, Eclipse have a dark, lonely feel to them. Very few of her songs are actually 'Happy' songs compared to KOTOKO who has alot of these types of songs along with her more darker material. Anyone seen Mami Kawada's PV for PSI-Missing yet....now that is wierd yet fits her style quite well. |

even though i still haven't seen the PV, i agree with the "happy" songs.. her songs are usually rock, and i like it.. i think she has only few songs which is calm or rather sad and lonely.. i.e: Akai Namida |
