I searched and haven't found a thread existing so yeah I made this thread. fripSide took my interest since I heared the album Rabbit Syndrome by fripSide NAO project! which thinks me, I should get fripSide songs as well... XD So far I liked 2 albums of 'em, which is "Binary Digit" and "Rabbit Syndrome" and it rocks~ XD And oh yeah, include those theme songs from Koihime Musou~ XD More info about fripSide here. So anyone here heared of them or their musics? XD  |

If you really like fripSide & don't want to buy all there albums which is i think 9 (including their latest Split Tears) so far than i suggest getting their Best of CD. It covers the years 2002 - 2006. There new album Split Tears consists mostly of music done for visual novels like 'magic a ride', 'fictional moon', & 'spiral of despair'. fripSide has more 'rockin synth at times dark' sound while the Nao project consists more fluffier happier songs. Like alot of acts that started by lending their songs to adult visual novels (KOTOKO, I've Girls, Eufonius, yozuca, Yuria, Itou Kanoko etc.) it is great to see them become more mainstream. My suggestion Shin-san is whatever album you get they are highly enjoyable & contain great songs! Highly recommended!! if you like alot of keyboard synth work.  |

lol yay thanks, Izumo~ XD I downloaded the Best album recently, and lol I only heared the 1st Disc and it was really awesome! XD Cant wait to hear the 2nd album~ XD I'm also planning to get all fripSide singles as well... wish I could find it elsewhere~ XD |

Heh! its great to hear that you have become so interested in the group. I've followed them since 2004 when i first heard there song 'Red Reduction Division' which was truly an awesome song. First time i've heard something like that...very different to the I've Sound girls which i was at the time a HUGE fan of. I loved the vocals of Nao-san & the music arrangement of Satoshi-san. The heavy use of synth & keyboards are something i really love in music in general. For me personally i like their fripSide songs a little more than the Nao project...the fripSide songs are more edgier in my opinion. I do like the Nao project songs for their 'feel good' aspect since they are more happier & fluffier like i mentioned before. Just like with the songs from KOTOKO i like her darker, edgier music so the same goes with fripSide. If you are looking for their singles you should just get their albums cause they will eventually be in them. Songs like Red reduction, magic a ride, Liberation crisis can be found on their albums. As you know the songs for Koihime Musou are easy to get. Much easier to obtain there singles from albums than finding them on their own. |
