Weird Occrence on Acer, anyone else had this?

Strange thing happening with my Acer, travelmate 4720. Each time I hook my laptop up to an electrical source, using my Ac adapter, my wireless internet immediately cuts out. I have no idea why, my internet is fine, and its only when I have it connected. Anyone ever had this before? Anyone know how I can fix it? Cuz its kind of a pain in the arse to deal with. This just happened today. I looked at my internet settings, and nothing changed. I just left my computer alone with a screen saver, and when i came back after a few hours, i noticed my internet was disconnected. I then discovered when it was unplugged the internet worked. It is all very confusing, and I dunno why it won't work. Help me pleeeasseee!! Its very frustrating! Even restarting it won't work. Im trying to run scans to see if its some kind of virus...but thats a strange virus if it were one, which doesn't make sense either, haha.

Urrgg.. Here's something. Acer usually.. .. well let's put it this way. when you plugged and unplugged the adapter, your acer laptop will change the profile for you. Automatically. Like what they did to the screen brightness. When you plugged in, it'll be brighter. When you unplugged it, it will be dimmer. I guees that, when you plugged in the WiFi will be off. As what they done default in setting. When it's unpluggeed, it will be on. That's what acer enpowering technology do. And tell you the truth. It sucks, and.. i never likes it. Here's some opinion. Go check your power setting in acer empowering technology. Try it out. Hopes it help. OH ya. There's possility that your computer are having virus. I have encounter a virus before. It's in process. Task command. Called. svchost32.exe looks funky right? no. It's a virus and not microsoft running process. It block your something... urgg i don't know what i does but it made your browser can't get online. Even when it's says that you are online. Urggg it will take sometimes before you computer completely disconnected by internet. At first msn messenger still works. But sometimes like 5 min. It disconnected. It's just a doubt. Check your task manager for foreign process. |

Schala, I suggest, as Vincent said, check your Acer eNet Management settings. There might be some settings that cause this. Also, start scanning for viruses, etc. Hope this helps... ^^  |

Ugh, uninstall that Acer crap now. It is 100% evil filth that is completely unnecessary. I'm saying this after having had to set up 58 new acer machines at the Office of Information of Technology at my University, so I know what I'm talking about. Just go into the Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs (or Programs and Features if your in Vista) and then uninstall it. That won't fix it directly though, so do that AFTER you fix the settings in the Acer program, otherwise it'll be tricky (though I'll walk you through that if you need).

i have an acer, but i never had this problem.. I did, however, get the blue screen of death due to a default acer emanagement program, and i wasnt very happy |
