I was wondering, is it suitable for me? I can watch Happy Tree Friends and Bokusatsu tenshi dokuro chan, but I dont like elfen lied.  |

well one thing for sure psycho + no funny stuff (although there is "watch out for killer lolita's" well that sum it up + many "red color" then mystery ^^

When psycos attack can you only see blood, ore can you see blood, bones, mucles, tissue tearing from tissue etc? |

it's not that gruesome at all... its more of a thriller with a splash of gore... kinda like dokuro chan...eflen lied is more...uh disturbing |

@Z ??? are you sure, i find elfen lied is pretty fine. the violences is needed in the anime but well the naked part won't be necessarily well this is about me and the first ep of higurashi, enjoy my first impression on the cover (wow, cute girls ^^) bought it then 0:00 *doki doki* the anime start 0:10 *black screen, then unlit room* "ho, different opening then any other romance anime" 0:30 *bang, pump, gah, dup, dump* "what the heck ???? where is the cute girls???" then i still made myself believe the first scene is nothing, just act of emotion (well just finished kiminozo, so what could i say) but after the first ep, i search the internet "what the heck???" *read the genre* "he?????" *see the pic girl holding hatchet* "are????" @_@ well that was my first impression seeing higurashi ^^ well not that gruesome, but yeah the thing that put the anime on is not just violences but the mystery in it ^^ *edited* forgot this part at the end a warning sign appeared "beware of killer lolita's" then i laugh real hard ^^

Hey! Who on earth says Higurashi is BAD?!?! Higurashi is amazing! It combines Horror, Thriller, Comedy (funny!), Moe (Lolita), all in one! I reckon it's not as disturbing as elfen lied (although i like it) "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" is a thriller about several series of story of crimes that take place in a countryside called Hinamizawa. The first season is full of crazy murders, with unsolved mysteries. You get to know who the criminal is for each crime, but you wont have an idea WHY it had happened. Each crime is totally different, but they all have some kind of connection, and thats what you have to think in the first season. Stuff gets less bloody and scary in the second season of Higurashi, because theres more mystery solving. Keiichi is the main character in the first season, and Rika is the main character in the second season (thats what the director says) The characters in Higurashi are all very unique. They are absolutely hilarious when they start their after school club (bukatsu 部活) WATCH IT NOW!!!! |

Just some guy dying over and over again by clawing his own throat, some other mutilated guy, little girl stabbing her own head, then psycho twin girls killing another girl by torturing her with a kitchen knife first. This is fine, really. |

if u go for it make sure you watch Kai as well cos that's where higurashi's plot shine xD

@kay when i mean it's more disturbing compared to higurashi(with the decapitation and all)...but for me it's not that disturbing...i actually find it funny (all thanks to AMV HEll...sheesh) the only thing i find "disturbing" is when rika was was slaming her head through a knife..at will... i mean WOW..you got guts to kill yourself in that manner |

If you wanna watch Higurashi, I strongly recommend it to you, it's bloddy of course, but you gotta love their faces... that's priceless, I love the maniac expressions bwahahaha. If you're planning to re-enact things, then don't watch it... lol   |

| The one thing that gets me about this anime is the screams, it makes it very i dunno, realistic? I dunno, it's just mentally taxing on some parts, not straight gore like Elfen Lied. |

grr, the title make me angry a bit, higurashi is one of great anime ever created ya'know!!! it's really good even, after i watched it first time, i can't sleep at night  visit aolas.soup.io for your usual dose of seiyuu pics |

The first series is a bit bloody. Anyway, its only purpose is to tell a lot about the characters and the village. You can see the 'real' story in Kai. Worth watching... Nipaaaa :D |
