Has anyone here watched Yami Boshi to hon Tabibito? I was told it was a good anime to get as it has a good story. But I don't know what it is about. So has anyone here seen it or know what it is about? Is it really a good anime?

All I know about it is that this anime was based on a game.

I've seen it & i've played the ero-game as well. Don't worry you are not the only one to not understand what is going on in the anime version. The anime's plot jumps from one story to another it is difficult to keep track of what is happening.

The jist of the story from what i can come up with as simple as possible is this..with the help of wikipedia for clarification.

Hazuki is thrown into a world where all worlds are kept in books...she tries to track down Hatsumi who is a reincarnation of eve (from adam & eve). Hatsumi for fun enters the worlds inside of books but when Hatsumi turns 16 she returns to her own world...only to jump into another world. Lilith (girl with big hat) is the custodian of the library where all the books are kept. It is her job to track down Eve & return her to the Yami (name of the original world).

So basically Hatsumi is jumping from book to book with Hazuki & Lilith trying to track her down. Each book they are in are their own different worlds & stories. Hazuki is actually a character in one of the books that Hatsumi settled down in...Hazuki has strong feelings for Hatsumi, it seems one-sided though. Hatsumi does care for Hazuki but not as strong as Hazuki's.

That is the plot as simple as i can explain. The anime is pretty good in it's own right if you get what is happening. At times it may seem "WTF!!! is going on?", if you think about it hard it is actually an interesting story.

I recommend you seeing it once to get a feel for it, although you may need to watch it multiple times to get it. If you like pretty animation with well designed characters by Carnelian (she is a well known ero-game artist), she did series like Moonlight Lady as well as Touka Gettan, which is just as whack as Yami to Boushi.

It is a very popular series for fans of Yuri, girl's love anime. Other well known yuri anime are Kannazuki no Miko (highly recommended!!) & Marie-sama ga Miteru.

._. Oui, I've seen it.
^^;; I'm not really into yuri but one day I was bored and chose a random title and watched it. XD
I really liked the main concept of book hopping and different worlds. It was cool because every time they went to a new book, it was a fresh new world so the anime never really got boring. So if you can, yeah, I'd recommend you watch it.

@_@ Er... yeah, I got really confused but at the end, but I was pretty satisfied.

*-* Oh yeah! The characters Yamibou made an cameo appearnace in Touka Gettan, I forgot all about that.
>.< Izumo post reminds that I have to finish Touka Gettan cause I stopped at the last 4 eps. ._. Though I wonder if it's worth the time...

Thanks for the information Izumo and jowqi.

Hmm... Yuri... huh???

Well, if the story really is a interesting as Izumo said it is, heck, I'll give it a try.

Thank you!

You are welcome Advi-san :) It's an interesting anime for sure to say the least. Like i said it may take you a few watches to really get what is going on but the concept is different which makes it compelling.

The Yuri aspect is very minor since the relationship is one sided between Hazuki & Hatsumi, although Lilith is attracted to Hazuki a little as well...but i think it is more playfulness than attraction.

@ Jow-san
Touka Gettan is even more confusing than Yami to Boushi...especially if you didn't realize that the series is being shown backwards. So the 4 episodes you haven't seen yet are actually quite important to the overall story since it basically shows what is going to happen. Root & Orbit who are the ones who made the original games have a habit of making there stuff confusing.

Yami, the Hat, and the Travelers of the Books is wat it means right? I tend to stay away from hentai related anime cause its boring once they take away the ecchi and only give glimpses of fanservice. you either get the hentai or the anime they shouldnt mix it up. but its fun to watch sometimes that way their more focused on the story than all the ecchi scenes.

like fate stay night i only watched it for the ecchi but the fighting scenes were awesome i had to say. Dark Saber forever!
