Witchblade is originally a western graphic novel--- I don't know why it has its anime version. It's still a hype to me, of all the saucy killerness from that woman--- lolz I only saw the trailers.

Death Note~ oh yessss~ it's the best anime (and manga) ever.

No wonder why Death Note is so popular, it is simply one of the best anime and manga ever. The whole story is superb, specially considering how the story develops with only one unreal thing (the death note) because that aside, the main character doesn't have a super power or anything at all, only his intelligence which in the end is even more dangerous than the death note itself. That's one of the reasons I freaking love Death note!!!

I wouldn't call DN one of the best Anime that exist, but I would say in the area of its genre, it is up there.

But here is the thing, if you like mystery/detective/suspense/supernatural type of Anime with a touch of epic tennis and chip eating, go with Death Note. Go with Witchblade if you like a side of family/drama/supernatural/action type of Anime.

I personally really liked Witchblade and I think it's something people should be more familiar with so I'll go with that.
