Humming sweetly to herself, Lust turned the corner with a smirk suddenly sprinting down the small alleyway that had luckily been placed to her left. A slim frame, a blur of silver and green, her speed defied light as she ran along the wall and reached up to catch the last rung of a rusted ladder. If she had been just a bit heavier, it probably would have ruptured, dropping her a good eleven feet and slowing her escape by quite a bit. But it didn't, so no one cares. She climbed up quickly to the walkway of this ancient fire escape that shook with each step she took. She lightened her step and began to ascend the stairs when she heard their approaching footsteps. Leaning against the wall of the building she softened her breathing and watched two dark figures enter the alleyway. Her cat like eyes changed from yellow to black.

"Waele lotha ligrr... vel'klar xunus dos alu?" A soft voice asked to the darkness. Lust didn't move. They were hooded so she couldn't see their faces. "Ka dos doer doeb nin udos orn ori'gato dos dro, iglata" A different voice said with a slight laugh. Lust had no idea what they were saying. Not a clue, she didn't speak drow. They walked slowly down the alley, scanning their surroundings closely. Lust assumed they most likely had optical enhancements enabling them to see body heat through most walls plus night vision. Fortunately they weren't bright enough to look up. Plus, the fire escape blended into the wall. No doubt they underestimated Lust as well. Shame on them. They continued down the alleyway hitting an intersection that led off into different parts of the city.

She's a super freak, A super freak, super freaky yaaa.....

She heard fumbling and saw a bright light illuminate the the figures for just a second before it dimmed, followed by, "Vendui? .... No Sir... Well she... Disappeared Sir -----Yes Sir. --- Sorry Sir. We're coming back now." She heard a click and a loud sigh. She heard a grunt. "Trouble." Said voice A. A questionable grunt. "Waele ligrr aslu udossa wun degahr" A soft growl. Did they speak common, gawsh, Lust wondered. She had closed her eyes to listen to their conversation, she completely missed them turning the corner and disappearing. She stood there for about six minutes and thirty-four seconds before she noticed. Woot! She screamed, mentally of course. She decided to further explore the rusty fire escape and headed up the stairs. The stairs shook so much, they felt like they would fall at any second. Reaching a rooftop, her jaw dropped at the sight. Stars decorated the midnight sky, AND you could actually see them. With all the artificial light these days, you would rarely see a star. Lust walked onto the rooftop in awe of the beauty of the night sky. She didn't notice the lack of light down below, nor did she hear the complaints of the many citizens without power. Apparently, there was some sort of major power outage in the western part of Freya. Freya was the name of the city Lust grew up in. A major city in the Lanacard district, it was a factory town that basically had claims on all cheap toys, appliances, and everything else cheap.

Lust lowered herself to the rooftop and laid down. The rooftop was like most, artificial grass covered most of it, along with some chairs and tables. Using her palms as a pillow, she watched the stars. Even the moon was out. "Maybe this detour was worth the trouble," She followed with a sigh. Pulling her cellular from her pocket, the time shined [12:47]. "Ooohh... The day is just beginning, sweet."

Meanwhile....

"So your telling me that you couldn't manage to do what I asked? Simple. Catch this girl. What do you come back with? Nothing. Can someone explain this to me, cause I'm not understanding."

"Well y-y-you see u-u-uh sir... the thing is"

"Can you at least describe her?!"

"Sir! She was approximately five feet seven inches. Black hair down to mid-back. Golden yellow eyes, similar to a cat. Slim, I'd say around one hundred and fifteen pounds. No distinctive scars or deformities. Appears to be fully human, no cybernetic enhancements. Magic user. Last seen wearing loose fitting black pants and a black tank-top with a mushroom on the front."

"At least one of you has their act together. Don't disappoint me again. Out. Now."

Marco, having exited his office through the door behind his desk pondered this predicament his incapable employees had put him in. While walking down his corridor of whores, all of which moaned at him to choose them, he figured he should really be upset right now. But he wasn't. Strange. He stopped. He looked at a young girl, of about seventeen, crying in her small cubicle of a room. Her flowing black surrounded a light-skinned face bred with Lust in mind. Luscious lips, fresh eyes, a blossomed youth. Her eyes, a glowing yellow, looked even better in tears. He had just received her from one of his scientists, she was a gift. He pushed the red button next to her window. Maybe this would make up for their mistakes.

Characters
I don't believe in character sheets, sorry. I believe in including a paragraph describing your character, as it does when you read books, while keeping in line with the post. If it is the next day in the roleplay, your character should change clothes and such, right? Describe it please.
Grammar+Spelling.
I also believe in grammar and spelling. Please check your spelling and grammar to the best of your ability. Please try and use correct punctuation and capitalization.
Detail.
Description is a must. Try and be as detailed as possible. No one-line posts!
Yay.
If you made it this far... :D
Posting.
Posting will be done in the order you joined, so no one is left behind. If your confused please ask. Also, please make sure you READ the other posts and re-read your own, so no one gets confused. The current order is:
1.Lust
2.Link
3.Fiifth
4.Key
5.
Plot.
One word:Uprising, or maybe even Revolution. Something major will happen (I know what it is ;]). This will lead to many individual organizations/gangs surfacing. The oppressed will no longer be ignored and cast off to the ghettos! The news channels are going to have problems covering all the bombings, assassinations, random fires, unruly mobs, and politicians being revealed for the lying cheats they are. You decide where you fit in. The oppressed or the oppressor.
World.
Better description coming soon...
The following should help the creation of your characters: Races include human, drow and melves(mini elves) and cyborgs. Magic does exist. Technology is very advanced. There are four continents on the planet of Shulei which are, Serac, Soryia, APhuak, and Cesaria. The story is currently situated in Cesaria, Lanacard district, City of Freya.

The traveler walked along the main road, observing the city of Freya after dark.
His stark white hair did its best to conceal the scar on his left temple. He
walked with confidence; He had nothing to fear from Freya. It was nothing like
his hometown in Soryia.

His ebony skin reflected the moonlight, indicating to all passerby his drow
heritage. Some were baffled, others were outright terrified. It did not matter
to the traveler. He had come to the city at the request of one man. The opinions
of common folk had little relevance.

He turned right, off the street and into an empty shopping district. "Empty" was
perhaps a bad word. There was no shopping being done, but it was certainly
occupied, mostly by the poor residents of Freya. They lined the empty stalls,
sleeping against the boards and posts. He walked through the small crowd, barely
a whisper to mark his passing.

Finally he found the man he was looking for. With long, scruffy hair, and a
decrepit yellow jacket to guard against the wind, he was not hard to spot. The
traveler kicked his boot, causing him to stir with a jump.

"Wha-ha-huh-- who're you?" he demanded, looking up at the dark figure standing
over him.
The traveler did not reply, merely staring at the man who appeared to be a
poor, homeless bum.
"You're late," he said shortly after. "Follow me."

The man stood up, walking towards the far side of the shopping district. As with
the traveler, his footsteps were not discernible above the gentle breeze. After
turning a couple of corners and determining they were not being followed, he
motioned toward a small building, no bigger than an average garage. Pulling out
a set of keys, he adeptly slipped one into a small lock, barely visible. The
building's single thick door swung wide, revealing a staircase leading down
several floors.

"He's been waiting for you..." the man said with a grin.

Figuring her stalkers to be long gone, Lust stood up and stretched. Down she reached to touch her toes and up to touch the sky. An obscure memory suddenly took over her thoughts. A small child, in a red dress walking with a tall dark figure. While the child was laughing happily and singing some unrecognizable song, the dark figure simply glared at the child and began to walk ahead of her. "Head Shoulder Knees and Toes..." Lust muttered, recalling the song. "But who-"

"HEY! Pick up your phone!" A squeaky voice yelled. Lust looked down at her cell, she had put it down to stretch properly. A small pink fairy screamed at her from the flat screen. She danced around the small screen yelling her little head off. Reaching down for the cell, Lust finally responds with, "Who is it Mia?" "It's Saito." "Ignore, I've got things to do tonight, I'm not going to put up with him."

Navigating easily through the crowded streets, Lust kept her eyes peeled for anyone who behaved strangely. You can never be too careful considering her recent escapade. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, she disappeared into a small alleyway. Walking along casually, she strolled down to a small set of stairs that led to a thick metal door. Opening it with ease, She headed inside.

The hall was dimly lit, and water leaked from every nook and cranny. It was also completely deserted, like always. It was surprisingly an apartment building. More large metal doors decorated the two sides of the hall. Reaching her door, Lust placed her finger on a small black pad, a flash of green light lit the hallway, followed by the sound of a door unlocking. She headed inside and shut the door. A small plain one bedroom apartment, kept very clean, was home to none other then Lust. The walls were painted a bright lime green with thin purple borders. She barely had any furniture, and liked it that way. Within minutes she showered and changed. She now sported a small black lolita dress with white trimming and a matching headdress. "Lu!! Hurry or you'll be late! It's going to be two!" Mia screamed from the countertop. "Crap." Lust rushed over, grabbed her cell, an apple and was out the door in a flash.

"Your LATE!" A large hairy man bellowed, blocking Lust's way.
"I know, I know, I'll stay late just for you Malk." Lust replied with a sweet smile, pushing her way past him. She headed toward the bar and began to prepare herself for another long night. "Sam! Give me a drink, I need some energy." She screamed to the young drow bartender. "Already Lu? You know... You could come with me to the AA mee-" He was quickly cut off by her glare. He poured her a shot, she downed it, and headed out to the tables to make some money.

The traveler looked at the grinning man, not impressed by his confident demeanor.
He entered the doorway, descending some of the concrete steps. The door swung shut
behind him, and as it did fluorescent lights lit up above him, showing the path.
He looked around him as he walked, the walls damp with moisture, and showing signs
of aging. The steps were likewise conditioned, and peering down he could see the
bottom of the stairwell.

After at least 460 steps, the traveler finally came to the bottom. There existed
a single door, much akin to the previous one, however there was no lock to bar his
entry. He pushed against the cold steel, and it opened easily. Inside was a lavish
mansion, decorated with only the finest paintings and tapestries, a blinding
contrast to the dull concrete.

A servant appeared to his right, motioning to a small door set off to the side.
The traveler followed him, entering the room while the servant held the door for
him. He returned to door to its original position, then scurried off, his task
completed. The room was even more high-end than the entryway, filled with gems and
jewels of every kind. In the middle of the room, a small man sat on an obsidian
and diamond-crusted throne.

"Welcome to my humble abode! I have been expecting you! It appears you are a tad
late, however. I would not have expected that from one of your... reputation."
The small man beamed brightly, his obvious wealth reflecting in his facial
features. Indeed, he had ordered finely cut gems embedded in his cheeks. Why?
Because he had money, and what better thing to do with money than spend it.

"I bet you are tired from your long journey!" the man bellowed. "Why don't we go
out, get ourselves a drink, maybe a woman or two, and enjoy ourselves! We can
discuss the details of the contract tomorrow afternoon," he said, and rose from
his chair, rushing past the traveler and ending the conversation.

The traveler followed the man, slightly annoyed but otherwise compliant. In the
end, all that matters is the contract, and this man was offering a sizable sum.
He would go along with his wishes as long as he got his pay in the end...

"Okay, now that we're done reviewing impulse-momentum, we'll go ahead and start with collisions." Professor Rhys Tucker sat atop a pool table in his holographic lecture hall with a cue stick in his hand and a rack of nine pool balls set up for a game. "Now, let's recall the impulse-momentum equation we covered yesterday. For any given system, mass times initial velocity of that system plus the integral of the force on that system with respect to time equals mass times the final velocity." He wrote the equation in the air above him, and the equation floated in the air above his head. "Okay, now let's say that there are no forces on the system. Which term goes away?"

A student raised his hand. "The impulse term."

"Good, good." In the air above him, the integral went away and the following equation remained: sum(m1v1) = sum(m2v2).

"Now, this should all remind you of conservation of momentum. To review, however, let's give the cue ball some initial momentum..." He lined up a shot and broke the 9-ball rack, sinking the one-ball and the four-ball off the break. Some students whistled at their professor's skill. "You'll find that for this system of pool balls that momentum is conserved before and after the impact. Now..." The lecture continued. The professor wrote four equations in the air and made more and more difficult shots. He described direct impact by banking shots off the rail and he taught oblique impact by knocking multiple balls in on a single shot. With each shot, lines appeared predicting and describing the motion of the balls as they collided.

"Now, with these four equations, you should be able to make any shot given any configuration of the table." The cue ball sat near one of the corner pockets, and the 9-ball sat at the other corner pocket, on the same side at the far end of the table. "However, to be really good..." Rhys lined up a shot and struck the cue ball, which curved to just barely brush the mouth of the middle pocket on the opposite end and strike the 9 ball into the corner pocket. "You've got to learn to use friction and spin, which you might cover in graduate-level dynamics." Rhys snapped his fingers, and the pool table disappeared. "That's all the time we have today. Don't forget, quiz on Friday."

As students filed out to go to their next class, one of them stopped. "Professor, a colleague would like to buy you a drink," she said in a cool voice.

Rhys' eyes narrowed. "Tell him, 'Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred.'" The student nodded as he left the hall. I hope Professor Foxlande is willing to sub for me next week, he thought. He knew the way the resistance deployed him, and he knew that he was going to have to catch up on a lot of lessons once he got back.

Back in his apartment, Rhys rushed to organize everything for the coming week. "I'll just be out for a week, James." Rhys made one last check of his inventory as he talked. "I already emailed you my lesson plan for the week, and Dr. Armstrong really needs me to go to the conference." As Dr. James Foxlande talked through Rhys' earpiece, Rhys half-listened as he sifted through his briefcase, making a mental note of everything he had and needed to get for his trip. Toiletries? Check. Extra clothes? Check. Spare suit? Check. Solar Charger? Check. Toolkit? Check. "I already told you, unless you know someone else in the department that's done research on non-sterile magical particle dynamics I'm the only one that can go, okay?" Rhys placed his laptop, a tiny little subnotebook with a 7 inch monitor, in the briefcase before he snapped it shut. "No, of course we can't send a graduate student!" He checked his pockets and found his five essentials: his phone, his keys, his wallet, a hold-out pistol he prays he never has to use, and his ever-precious (and barely legal) multitool. "Thanks, James. I'll be sure to buy you some Seracan cigars while I'm there. Have a good week, okay?" With Dr. Foxlande's farewell, the call ended and Rhys was free to concentrate on the operation at hand.

Rhys checked himself in the mirror before he left. As appropriate for the best and most expensive bar in town, he wore a black lounge suit with a blue tie instead of his usual turtleneck and jeans, and his normally messy short brown hair was combed neatly in a 7:3 ratio. His briefcase in hand, started to walk out the door before he realized that something was missing, a particular item he always brought with him to any tavern. "Oh, right." Rhys palmed himself in the face as if he had missed something completely obvious, then walked back in to grab a leather pouch containing his personal pool cue. With his inventory complete, Rhys walked out the door to meet his contact.

Scanning the bar for a worthy customer, who was loaded with cash, Lust sighed in disappointment. Sadly, all the guys who had money were hideously overweight, and all the guys who weren't were gorgeous and tried to take her money. It just wasn't fair. About to resign herself to her fate, she felt an arm wrap around her waste followed by a soft male voice in her ear. "Well hello Miss Lust, How are you?" Lust turned her head slightly towards the speaker. "Fine." She replied acidly, upon seeing his face.

The Shirouden Bar is a well known drinking spot for the elite of the elite. A place where the evil and good freely mingle simply searching for a good time. Sparsely decorated, black walls, flurescent lights, your usual tables, chairs and of course the bar which sat in the center. What made Shirouden different from all the rest of your average bars were its gorgeous servers. Not one employee on staff resembled your average human being, though they all actually were for the most part human. They also had to cosplay a different character everynight, tonight was Lust's turn to be a gothic lolita type of character. Now back to the show!

"Won't you come sit with me?" He stared down at her with his sky blue eyes, daring her to say no. She glared at him intensely but he didn't back down. She looked away. Her eyes taking on the color of flames. He guided her to a small table in the back. Like a gentlemen, he pulled out her chair and she sat down. He sat across from her. Her eyes were glued to the strange checkered patterns that covered the table. His remained on her.

"You look amazing tonight, Lu."
"Don't call me that." She snapped. A silence followed. Aside from their current conversation, the bar was actually quite lively tonight. For some reason, everyone seemed to be full of energy. It was strange.
"Aww come on... I gave you that name... Remember?"
"Nope."
"Please... Why are you being like this?"
Lust couldn't help but laugh, Her eyes were filled with a deep hatred, or was it hurt? Her eyes met his. Guilt?
"Lu, she didn't mean... anything to me... You were.. I only want y-"
Before he could finish, she disappeared. It was almost magical. She wouldn't let him see her cry. Never. Lust was the Ice Queen. She had no feelings. 'Feelings, what a joke.' She whispered as she headed towards the exit. She needed some fresh air. She needed somewhere to be alone. Mr. Large and Hairy spotted her heading towards the exit, he also noticed her tear stained face. He let her pass. Who could stop her? Apparently, no one.

The traveler walked behind the small man and his retinue,
all of whom were already drunk. Before leaving his
palace-bunker, they had raided the winehouse and the
kitchen, leaving nothing but empty bottles.

Finally, they came up to their tavern of choice,
"The Nornbear's Claw". All of them hurried inside, many
of them tripping on the stairs, already causing a ruckus.
The traveler paused to observe his surroundings, changing
his vision into the infrared spectrum, making sure no one
had followed them (although he wasn't sure who would be
following them).

There were many citizens roaming the streets, despite
the late hour. A couple of drunkards were stumbling
home, and others were simply loitering. He noticed one
young woman stepping out of another bar across the
street, tears streaking as a different hue of red
down her face.

"Interesting," the traveler thought, as he observed her
figure in the infrared spectrum.

He turned back towards the entrance, where the man was
beckoning him inside. He entered the musty building,
his senses assailed by all sorts of noxious fumes.
He found the booth the man and his posse were sitting
at, most of them already with women on their laps.

"Please, my good friend, sit down," the man said. "I do
believe in all the excitement, we have yet to even be
properly acquainted." He smiled as he said it.
"Allow me to introduce myself," he began. "My name is
Ludo Cruor," he said importantly. He lowered his voice.

"I am the leader of the largest thief's guild in all of
Freya. There are some who would tell you differently,
but they are to be dealt with shortly," he chuckled,
motioning towards the center of the room, where a
bar-wide brawl had started mere seconds ago.
"Watch those two there," he said, pointing to two men
who were in the center of it all, bare-fisted and
bloody.

Glasses were being thrown about every which way,
breaking against the wall and floors.
"Any second now..." Ludo said quietly.
Just then, one of the men knocked out the other,
sprawling him on top of a table. The table then broke
underneath his weight, landing him directly on top of
a half broken glass mug, which then peirced his neck
like a filet knife. At the same time, the victorious
fighter got tackled by another rogue participant,
slamming him against the bar, where the owner had just
left a large knife (while he opened a small door and
hid in a space under the floor) and was struck with
enough force to drive the knife through his back.

"Brilliantly executed!" he whispered feircely.
"Now that is what I call Monopolistic Competition!" he
shouted, roaring with laughter.

The traveler was silent as the booth erupted with
poisonous glee, and the man ordered another round of
drinks for everyone.

"Now, what is your name, good friend?" he asked happily.

He looked at Ludo and frowned, not pleased with his
'good friend' routine.

"My name is Baltyrr Rilynath," said the drow.

Rhys played with his multitool as he waited for the monorail to stop, flipping the pen-like device around his fingers as he sat on the West Freya line of the Lanacard supersonic elevated train system. "Passengers, please take your seats," the attendant said over the PA speaker. "We are arriving at West Freya."

The train quietly slid to a halt over West Freya, the most affluent part of the city. This place was the home to the elite of the elite. Corporate skyscrapers filled entire city blocks. Stores filled with exotic and overpriced merchandise lined the streets. In this city, Rhys would have to forgo a month of his considerable salary to purchase even an appetizer at any restaurant, yet there were patrons; young, idle heirs and spoiled, prissy heiresses, ordering dish after dish, drink after drink, lazily handing over their parents' credit chips as they laughed and talked about their day of lounging. Rhys, the ever dilligent professor, glanced at them with disdain before he walked on.

Rhys was to meet his contact at the Shirouden, the most famous (or infamous, as some may say), and certainly most expensive, tavern in town. The Shirouden was famous for two reasons. First, one would have to be blind to miss the only large, impossibly white dollhouse built right in the middle of a block full of glass shopping centers. The other, more important reason, was that every server in the cafe was dressed in the costumes of geek culture. Some servers wore the suits of Super Sentai television heroes. Others were dressed in the uniforms of space-opera starship crews. Still others were dressed like maids and schoolgirls from the current popular animated school drama. Every geek fashion found its way here, from the risque designs and the animal-ear hairbands of the full-body-painted anthropomorphists to the Victorian stylings of Lolita fashion. Patrons to the Shirouden don't pay for food, they pay to have a cute girl in costume serve them.

The simple yet ample interior of the restaurant/bar sharply contrasted the ornate, toylike exterior. Fluorescent lighting glazed off of the black-painted walls and the chessboard linoleum floor. The bar sat in an rounded in the middle of the floor, and flair bartenders spun bottles and played tricks to awe their patrons. To the left of the bar servers and table bussers took orders for seated diners. Behind the bar sat a lounge with pool tables and other parlor games where still more waiters brought drinks, appetizers, and game equipment for the loungers' enjoyment. Finally, to the right of the bar was an open floor for dancers and a stage for performers. Tonight was karaoke night, and Rhys could hear a wonderful rendition of "Copacabana" as he walked toward the entrance.

Near the entrance, Rhys eyed a young woman dressed in the toy-like styling gothic lolita; she was ruining her white makeup with tears. Assuming her to be a coat-checker having a bad day, Rhys handed her his jacket and briefcase, saying, "Take care of these, will you, miss?" Ensuring he still had his tools: his phone, his keys, his wallet, his hold-out gun, his multitool, and his cue stick, Rhys walked straight to the pool table. I hope my contact comes late, he thought as he racked a 9-ball game. I'd like to fleece some of these spoiled heirs of their credits.

Lust had been contemplating the reasons she bothered with the male species when she was suddenly handed a jacket and briefcase. About to rudely voice that she wasn't the coat checker, the actual coat-checker pulled her back and placed his hand over her mouth.
"Hey pretty lady chillax." He whispered into her ear. After the man entered the bar, he released her.
"Hah, I got back just in time. Knowing you, we might have had a serious situation on our hands." He laughed at his joke. Lust did not.
"Hey you ok?" He placed he hands on his shoulders and turned her around. His green eyes spotted her tears, immediately he pulled her in for a hug.

"It's ok. I cried too when I saw Malk without a shirt on." She couldn't help but laugh.
"Ah-Ha! I am truly amazing. Now that I've made you laugh, I can finally die peacefully."
"Oh shutup and come help me with my makeup."
She pushed him away, but grabbed his hand and dragged him inside towards the dressing room. That was when she noticed she still had jacket and briefcase. Her lips slowly formed a smile.

"Bam, your done babycakes. I gotta go before Malk squashes me like a pancake. Crap. Speak of the devil." He quickly walked off looking to the right hoping Malk wouldn't notice. He didn't.
"Lu, you ok?" Malk asked as soon as he reached her dressing table.
"Hah, your just looking for a reason to hug me." Lust said childishly, she smiled up at him. She stood up and jumped into his arms.
"You know, I'm always her for you. Always have been, since the first time we met."
"I know I know, back when I was just a little streetrat, you took me in. Don't remind me. Your ruining my makeup, Get back to work!"
"Hah, Your one to talk. I won't rush you though, see you on the floor." And with that, Malk exited the dressing room.

Lust threw the jacket into the closet after inspecting the pockets. She found nothing. "Boring," She muttered as she sat on the floor with the briefcase. "Who the heck still carries these things around anyway." She couldn't even recall what the man looked like. 'He must be old', She thought picturing it and laughing. The briefcase had your typical lock that required a key. Passing her hand over the lock, it clicked and opened. She sifted through its contents. Clothes, toiletries, a strange charger type thing, a toolkit and a laptop. "A toolkit.. How strange. Could be useful though." She put it aside. Upon examining the laptop, she couldn't even open it. Apparently she needed the owner's fingerprint. "Hmmmm...I could... drug him and take his fingerprint... but that is way to much work for such an unimportant person." She noticed it was also the latest model, which was rumored to be virtually uncrackable. She didn't feel like attempting it. Though this would certainly interest the hackers of Shirouden. She returned the clothes and toiletries to the briefcase but she kept the suit. She needed something to wear after work. Placing the briefcase, toolkit and hanging up the suit in her closet, she grabbed the laptop and headed to the bar.

She sat on a barstool and placed the laptop on the counter. "Sam! Vodka me please." She gave him her most enticing smile, he couldn't resist and poured her a shot. The warmth spread through her body relaxing her and giving her the courage to face the rest of the night. She could handle the fact that he was here, easy. "Again, I swear that girl auctions herself off every night." Lust complained to Sam. Lust was referring to Lisa, a redhead with blue eyes. Tonight she was currently dressed as an elven archer. "Her figure isn't really that great, she looks like a pencil. All she has is boobs. Her face bothers me." Really what bothered her was how she was the one Lust was betrayed for. "Ya... You make her look like trash. She doesn't really make that much either. Everyones had a bite, shes old news now. I heard Malk was gonna fire her." Lust held her glass out to be refilled, "Good, I can't stand her attitude. Here hold this for me," She handed him the laptop, "When she's done I want to auction it off, I might have to sell myself with it, I'm completely broke." She downed the shot and winked at Sam. She went off to make some tips. She headed towards the pool table. None of the girls usually catered to the pool players since they knew nothing about pool. Lust learned a few things and was also eager to learn, she was pretty well known around the tables.

"Baltyrr? That certainly doesn't strike fear into any
hearts, does it?" Ludo joked. The traveler was silent.
"Come now, it was but a jest. Our mutual contact has
spoken very highly of your skills. I will expect
nothing less than perfection from you, what with your
notoriety and all," he said, his breath heavy with
drink. He chugged the few remaining swigs from his
mug, slamming it down on the table.

The traveler was silent, as usual.

"Now, Baltyrr, there is someone I'd like you to meet,"
Ludo said, putting his hand on the shoulder of a thin
man sitting next to him. He had short, dark brown hair,
a wiry frame, and glasses to match it. His clothes
were unremarkable, just a raggedy blue suit, contrasted
to the ridiculously expensive robes of Ludo, and the
cheap t-shirts of his other goons.

"Danista Curatio, my Chief Financial Officer, of
sorts. He is responsible for managing imports and
exports, and he will be able to help you should you
have any material needs whatsoever," he explained.

"Please, just call me Dan. Or Curatio. Danista is
simply not to my tastes," he said, extending his hand
in greeting.

"Curatio," the drow repeated as he shook his hand.

"Now!" Ludo cried. "MORE DRINKS!!"

The traveler sighed inwardly.

"9 ball, corner pocket." Rhys pointed his cue stick at the pocket he intended for the 9 ball to fall into. He lined up the shot, tapped the cue ball gently, and his opponent's eyes fell as the yellow-striped ball fell neatly into the pocket he called. Wow, what fools, Rhys thought. They actually think they can beat me, even after I'd won about six games in a row. I think I just made my paycheck tonight.

"Okay, that's game. Pay up." Rhys held out his hand as he waited for his opponent to pay his wager, but his opponent crossed his arms and haughtily raised his chin.

"I'm not paying until we have another go. I say you cheated that game!" His opponent, a young man of about Rhys' age at 26, was quite incensed at the fact that he had only missed one shot through the entire game; he broke the rack, knocked in the first two balls, then scratched going for the 3-ball. Rhys took the game without missing a shot.

Another voice, a young, noble voice, spoke from a table. "I was watching the whole time. Dr. Tucker won that game quite cleanly, and gracefully if I might add. All these games I could tell he was holding back; he never put any english on that ball at all." The voice came from a very young elf, pale, with pointed ears and black emo hair who wore the black suit-and-tie uniform of the West Freya Preparatory School for the Gifted. "You're making a fool of yourself; concede like a gentleman and pay up, like his other opponents did. I have a vodka martini here for Dr. Tucker and I'm sure that he would much rather drink that than argue with you."

The loser's face fell. "Take it," he said, as he threw his pocketwatch onto the table. Rhys took it and put it into his pocket, then walked over to the young teenager's table.

"You're a very skilled player, Doctor, but you're a horrible hustler," he stated candidly. "You may call me Apollo." He brushed his hair back to take a sip of his mojito.

"Apollo, is it? What happened to Clover?" Rhys sipped his drink slowly. Clover was his usual contact, and Rhys was slightly suspicious.

"Clover's currently in Serac playing last-minute ambassador to Modern Dynamics Corporation. He asked me to brief you in his stead." They spoke low enough to not be heard over the bidders trying to win a night with an elven dancer offering herself for auction.

"Now, Clover's job is to get one of the two pieces of technology we need to mount a full resistance against the Caesarian army. He's got the easy part; General Dynamics loves the Free Freya movement and I personally think Clover's more of a delivery boy than an ambassador. You, on the other hand, have a much more difficult task at hand." He reached into a briefcase he had at his side and pulled out a test-tube sized vial with two capped ends. The caps had a recessed button and two blinking LEDs. To the untrained eye, the vial looked as if it just held a single diamond suspended in a tube. Rhys, however, knew what it was the moment he saw it. "That's an Adegan crystal, isn't it?"

"Indeed, Doctor, that's an Adegan crystal. I'm assuming you know what it does, you're the only person that has contributed anything useful to the related science in the past 20 years."

"In a sterile field, an Adegan crystal emits a harmless magical particle field directly proportional to its mass every second. A sterile field is relatively easy to generate, and we can generate electrical energy if a wizard draws the proper arrays in the field room. Outside of a sterile field, though, the mass of Adegan in the crystal decays to diamond exactly according to mass-energy equivalence." Rhys practially stated this word for word from the abstract of his doctorate thesis.

Apollo smiled. "Not if it's doped properly, Doctor."

Rhys raised an eyebrow. "Yes, but there's no institution on the planet that has enough computing power to efficiently calculate the proper tylium doping points on a perfect crystal, let alone a naturally-occurring one."

"No civilian institution, Doctor. I've just been informed that Cesarian military scientists and wizards have successfully created the first non-sterile Adegan crystal."

Rhys finished his martini and sighed. "Figures that our enemies are the ones to unlock the secret to free energy."

"And those enemies are going to hide it from the public." A waiter came to take their empty glasses, and Apollo continued. "To them, it's a military achievement, a secret they're trying to hide from the rest of the world to maintain military dominance; the Cesarian military is already covertly refitting their equipment to function off of the new technology. But if we can get this crystal, Free Freya scientists can easily make more crystals for our own assets, and we'll be able to stand evenly with the Cesarian military."

"And how do we get this crystal?" Rhys sat back in his chair.

"We steal it. It's in the underground, right underneath the East Freya Museum of Science. You've been to the underground before, and we're choosing you because you're the only one that understands the technology. You'll have to go alone, we can't send a full team or we'll attract too much attention."

Rhys rubbed his chin. "But what about security?"

"That, Doctor, is your job to deal with," Apollo said candidly, and Rhys smiled.

TL;DR: Rhys hustles six guys and wins his month's salary in one night.
Rhys makes contact with Apollo, Free Freya agent, who briefs Rhys on the Adegan crystal underneath the East Freya museum.

The door flung open at the shirouden. A man wore a black coat, pair of black leather glove, and black boots standing there. His face was covered over the hood he was wearing. The man scanned the place. From the bar to the pool tables. From the auction ground to the guests table. While he at it, he stopped at two places. First is the pool table as he observed a girl in gothic. Second is a table where two men had deep conversation. Both are out of ordinary.

He stepped up and entered the bar. He closed the door behind him as he entered. Then he walked up to the bar and sat at the barstool. "Scotch, shake, cold" he said to the bartender. It’s a not very friendly way of ordering a drink. The bartender brought him his drink and placed it in front of him, he took the drink and lifted it up and shook the drink a little and drank it in one gulped.

The sight of mysterious man attracted many waitresses there. Soon he was swarm by curious waitresses. Some offered him free ticket. Some had asked him to bid for her. Some tried to open up conversation. But none had made him even lifted his face. Soon the waitresses lose interest in him and let him be.

No one knows why he was there

Then some might guess that he just a lonely hustler. As he walked to the pool table

Seated on an empty pool table, Lust yawned watching the last few minutes of the pool game between blue tie and his opponent. The unattractive loser claimed blue tie cheated. He refused to pay the money. What a joke, prissy little rich kids. A young elf intervened demanding he pay. Hopping down after the money was paid, Lust planned on challenging the loser, yet she noticed Lisa was finally claimed. She also noted blue tie engaged and the elf engaged in conversation, she couldn't recall ever seeing either of the two. Oh well, she headed towards the bar.

"Samular!! Hand-eth me-eth the lapular."
"Dude, Shutup. Your old english wannabe accent sucks." Sam handed her the laptop with a grin.
Lust faked a frown but it quickly turned into a smile. "Wish me luck!" She climbed up the small set of stairs leading to the circular stage.

"Evenin gentlemen, ladies," Lust began with her most seductive smile A round of applause and hey's greeted her. "Tonight you will all have the pleasure of bidding on the latest cerulean model laptop. So far only a few have been put up for sale, so do take this chance and bid high." All the possible bidders were silent as she displayed the laptop between her hands. It was, of course, light and durable. It looked practically new. Its original owner took great care of it. "Mind you, it is currently protected by a lock that requires a fingerprint. The bidder who can unlock this beautiful laptop will win me as a prize." This being the first time Lust auctioned herself off, a stir ran through the crowd. "Now at what price should we start the bidding?" Lust tilted her head slightly to the left and bit her lip alluringly.

Apollo used a napkin to draw the basic outline of the museum and underground complex underneath. "Now, the guards rotate stations once every three minutes clockwise around the museum. There are three security cameras placed in every room, and there are moving tripwire lasers in every hallway. The guards are armed-- Rhys?" Rhys's attention was drawn to the stage where the gothic lolita-dressed coat-checker had silenced the crowd by offering herself as an auction item. "I know she's cute, Rhys, but it's not my fault if you trip an alarm and get killed by a soldier," Apollo said.

"Yeah, she's cute." Rhys shrugged. "But it's not her I'm worried about. It's the thing she's holding in her hands." In her hands was a small, 7-inch subnotebook. It looked like a run of the mill high-end laptop, but to Rhys it was half his world because all of his unfinished research was located on that computer. As he listened to the woman explain the terms of the auction for his laptop, a sly smile crossed his face. "I'll be back in a second," Rhys said as he left the table.

"Now at what price should we start the bidding?" the toy doll asked. As men started shouting bids of hundreds of credits, then thousands, Rhys laughed inwardly. Then, in a loud voice that rung clear over the cacophony of eager bidders, he shouted. "Zero credits!" The room fell silent at the hustler's audacity as he, with a playful smile on his face, walked forward and onto the stage with his left hand in his pocket.

The crowd went wild bidding such high prices to spend the night with Lust. She couldn't help but smile, it certainly was nice to be worth so much. Not sure if she should stop the bidding a voice rang out, "Zero credits!" She watched the man walk onto the stage so casually. Her heart quickly fell.

Lust instinctively stepped back holding the laptop behind her back. She gave him a childish pout and stared at him with a confused expression. All naturally an act, 'Could this be his laptop... crap.' Her thoughts hidden behind her expression. Maybe this was a joke? Again, this awkward silence and this strange man who seemed to come out of nowhere. 'Oh he was the one playing pool earlier... this couldn't possibly be his.' She cursed at herself, but still her eyes showed nothing of the sort.

"Such a low bid.. Might I ask why." She prayed he wouldn't claim he was the owner of the laptop. She also suddenly felt insecure about her appearance. This man didn't seem at all interested in her which was certainly a first. I should have taken that last bid and walked out of here. She did have another engagement to attend. She waited for his response, hating how cool and confident he looked.

I'll just say that 1 credit = 1 modern US dollar. Link, or anyone for that matter, I guess you can hop in when you feel like it, we really wanted to finish this dialogue.

"Such a low bid. Might I ask why?" Her voice shook. Rhys climbed onto the stage, walked behind her, and took the laptop from her hands.

"Because the rules of your auction stated that I need only to unlock the laptop, correct? 'The bidder who can unlock this beautiful laptop will win me as a prize,' you said." Rhys slid his finger across the biometric scanner on the panel of the laptop. The laptop clicked open, and an electronic female voice greeted him with, "Good morning, Doctor Tucker."

Rhys smiled. "I believe I've won the bid," he said in his most pretentious tone of voice. "However, it would be in poor taste for me to take home a zero-credit companion. Therefore, I offer you 12,500 credits for your service for the night." He handed four of the six credit chips he won that evening to the shocked girl. Considering that the last bid was about two thousand credits, Rhys knew no one would challenge his offer. He certainly didn't want her to fall into the hands of any of the large and hairy men that bid for her, either, so he figured he was doing her a service. He jumped off the stage to a crowd that immediately parted for him. "You may start by getting a mojito for my elven friend and a Tom Arnold for myself," he said without looking back. "And make it quick, he's rather thirsty."

[well till i got message from lust i think i'm going to play a little]

"Well how about i bid 20,000 credits for the girl" said the mysterious man over the pool table. he just racked 9 ball to the pocket and his opponent now down on his knee. He stood up and looked at the doctor and the girl in question. Well the doctor is far from the word "mess". But he was too formal in this kind of bar, a suit. Well its a free fashion show here in this bar. Girls wearing strange outfits that ......... uncommon, like the girl beside him, wearing a small fluffy black dress with white trim. Still with his hood covering half of his face on. "Or we can simply settle it with this doctor" he waved his hand gesturing over the pool table.

the crowd now looking at the mysterious man and to the doctor. Sensing competition going to happen, the crowd cheer with excitement and started bidding for the winner

"How about it doctor Tucker?" there are slight intonation pressured on the doctor name. "Let's start the banking shall we?"

Hiro walked into Shirouden Bar, and sat down at a table near the middle of the large room. He was a younger looking man and wore a blue short sleeved shirt with a white solid line from shoulder to waist on the front, and long legged pants that seemed to continue the line down on the side of the right leg. Hiro's face was cheerful and bright until he sat down, as soon as he touched the chair his expression became serious and he looked almost menacing with his dark brown hair just covering his bright blue eyes, almost menacing. The only thing betraying this mood was his height. He looked a little short reaching only about 4'8", not to mention his simple average looking build. Hiro wasn't unattractive either, his pale skin flawless, at least flawless from what was visible.

As Hiro sat down, he pulled out a wallet that was bulging, looking almost like the amount of money contained was too much for the poor tattered thing to hold. Hiro smirked as he looked at the bidders standing around the round stage. Hiro wouldn't deny that the girl standing on the stage was attractive and knew he could out bid the man standing on the stage that had opened the laptop the girl was holding and the one who had issued a challenge. Unfortunately though he was here on buisiness.

Hiro pulled out a small folded piece of paper, and flashed the money in his wallet trying to get some of the servers' attention. As one strolled up he politely refused a drink and showed her the unfolded piece paper, on the paper was a very detailed sketch of someone from the waist up.

"Do you know this person?" he asked and, when she slowly shook her head he handed her a bill from his wallet, an American $100 bill, and thanked her for her time and prepared himself for the short wait for the next server to to get curious. 'I had better get some information here' Hiro thought. 'I never take on a target without a bit of information, and I don't have as much time as i usually have on these "request".'

Lust glared at the man who just bought her for the night. It was hard for her to not attack him with the chips he handed her. The arrogant bastard! She screamed, mentally of course. He completely ruined the auction. What a night. Just as she was about to actually meet the mans demands, A voice rang out, "Well how about I bid 20,000 credits for the girl?" She scanned the crowd for this new bidder. Just as she found his face the man motioned towards the pool table.

"Or we can simply settle it with this Doctor." Doctor? What the heck? Lust was certainly in a state of shock. Naturally though her face appeared calm and collected. Remembering her plans for the night she inwardly screamed. This better not interfere with her plans. She glanced at her small silver wrist watch. She had two hours before she would have to go. She promised herself to the winning man for the night, and was wondering which one would be easier to handle. They were both young and would no doubt underestimate her skill. She could play the violent card or the card of Lust.

"How about it Doctor Tucker?" Tucker? The name sounded so familiar yet Lust couldn't figure out where she heard it. He certainly didn't resemble a doctor or a tucker. He was much to young. Recalling his skill in the previous pool game, she predicted the outcome of the game. She would most likely be stuck with the Doctor.

She looked over at the crazy challenger. She recognized him. Again though, she had no clue from where. Lust didn't have the greatest memory.
