I remember one guitar tapping solo from X-JAPAN? It's up on YouTube somewhere. There's also Yoshiki's drum solo, which I thought he could've done much better. D: ------- |

Yeah, Herman Li's solo in "Valley of the Damned" is pretty insane. Versailles is a pretty good band although I haven't heard them much yet. That one song L-Maniac mentioned, the intro is so long, lol. ------- |

I LOVE that Hizaki Grace Project Solo! Here it is if you don't wanna search for it: There's a few from Syu, a current guitarist for the band Galneryus, who I recently found. Some of his solos are nice, and he's one I like from him below: The Hizaki one though, is so... "emotional"? [edit] Here's a pretty nice one you can check out: ------- |

If you like the Hizaki grace project solo, it's called race Wish and it's on the mini album Curse of Virgo. D is another good one. And Ruiza's solo album Amenity Gain. Versailles new album is amazing!

Syu was also a former lead guitar for ANIMETAL. They did a lot of metal covers based on Anime and Sentai Opening themes. :) This live cover of koutetsu jeeg has some pretty crazy solos, as well as being a tribute to Deep Purple's "Burn." It also somewhat shows why their Lives are called Marathons, because they played over 100 songs almost without pause. Although since most of the songs being covers of opening themes aren't full-length. Koutetsu Jeeg no Uta - Animetal Live |

guitar solos for Japanese band, can't think of anyone but Hotei Tomoyasu, he's Japan's guitar god alright. Hard to find his videos since Boowy has disbanded 10 years ago yesssh as the above posts have mentioned, Hide, Hizaki, and Syu are really awesome if you're more to rock or pop, Tak (B'z) is your best pick
