Anyone else use pagebreeze?

Oi, this will probably end up becoming a popular n00b joke or an annoying post, but clearly, I'm desperate...

Several weeks ago, I was hired to create a replacement website for the debacle which I succeded in making even worse. The short story is I successfuly created all the webpages, set them up, and had them ready to go.

The problem came when I tried to actually publish the webpages. Not only did I not succeed is replacing the old website, but deleted certain pages in doing so, causing the server to go into 'edit mode' I guess. Example: http://eatfoodforlife.com/

After contacting the only one of my friends who might know what to do, (and ended up knowing next to nothing), he suggested to dump all the files (.htm [I know .htm and .html are one and the same]) into the var directory like the previously mentioned page said to do. Problem was there was no var directory in sight, nor would pagebreeze 'navigate' to said directory. The last ditch effort was to create a var file, but it ended in failure, doing absolutely nothing. After four hours, I closed up shop and left work in disgrace...

Later, after a few more hours of goolging, I discovered that pagebreeze had in fact openned directly into var, identifying it as "/". However, the old website html files where in a sub folder, and placing new .html files did nothing. Since I have no immediate way of confirming that "/" is the var directory, I was hoping someone here might know yes or no, and would be kind enough to answer.

And before you ask, "Why didn't you just edit the old pages?" I allready tried that as well. The earlier webpages were created with an old FrontPage demo, *hands out barfbags* but for some unknown reason, despite being on a new Vista from Dell, the computer would crash every time I tried to employ an edited file. I also tried to republish the old website via FrontPage, but even that didn't work. So until then, my sorry derierre is stuck on the Titanic that is this webpage...

Lastly, this may not matter, but I'm also trying to publish these webpages from a different Vista. While the original is still present, and both have FrontPage, it doens't make a difference which Vista I publish from...

There's some kind of compatability thing that you can download after installing pagebreeze. It supposed to make it work with Vista, but I have noticed a number of glitches when it runs pagebreeze.

Still, these glitches are minor, and I don't think they're related to why I can't post the webpages...
