I believe that a true friend is somone who doesn't care only about one's self. I also belive that a true friend would give up themselves to save a friend. Not alot of poeple can say that they are a very good friend because they would not sacrifice themselves in order to save a friend, but in the world there are poeple who can say that they are a true friend and to me they are the only ones who can achieve full happiness.

Berry you have to elaburate the parameters of "salf sacrifice" in the aim to achieve a friend's salvation. I believe that friendship is the ideal of taking a person(s) and cherishing them. You share your interest and whatever makes you an individual with that friend as they share their individuallity with you. I would only sacrifice my well-being if I know my friend truly cares for me as much as I care for them. Friends are people who can help you find your way when you are lost, they can reassure you that there is no need to dwell in the darkness anymore. I saved a friend once and now I am the one that needs to be saved. I need to be saved from the pain I cast upon myself. EDIT: remove repeated word |

nobody is perfect and even friends cant be perfect.. they too make mistakes.. true friends r the ones who are with u in times of joy and troubles... they wont leave u behind if u need them...

My friend was with me at the funeral of my Grandad, not because he knew my Grandad, but because he knew how close I was to my Grandad. He was there to support me. I think it's actions like that which determine true friendship. It's like brotherhood, but without blood ties. Spiritual ties are way deeper.  |

A great friend; this is a topic I've experienced far too in-depth. Lol. To me, a great friend consists of many things, as selfish as that sounds. I do have a great friend, and we share an amazingly long four years background. Anyways, a great friend consists of being with someone through thick and thin. When they're hurt or injured, the friendship never dies; no matter how long it is before you see them again. There doesn't have to be physical contact, just as long as the link is still there. I actually don't want to go too into detail about this, soooo to sum it up: Great friends hardly ever distrust you, and vice-versa. They are supportive or thoughtful, and are continuously there for you. They cry for you and they're happy for you. That is what a great friend is to me. |

i just realised recently that i don't have any...but i'd imagine that a truly great friend is someone with whom you can be frank, and is honest in return, someone to rely on and who relies upon you, and who is always there for you.  |

what makes a great friend? for me I think its enough to see them being there for me when needed, and someone who's not a faker cause in this world its really hard to find a "true" friend/s. Someone who won't leave you cause of some mistake or misunderstanding, someone who's not a backstabber, someone who willing to sacrifice everything for you and cry, laugh with you no matter what happen. Its really hard to find someone like that but if we ever did think we've found them we should make sure to do everything to keep them cause once we lost them we lost 1 of the most important thing in life its like we lost half of our life. |

Well,, A Great Friend eh? To me.. Great friend is someone. Who's always Honest to you no matter what.. Someone that Won't give you Praise but someone who'll give you Critics and Suggestions to improve.. Someone that Will always be by your side and yet behind you to support.. Well That's a Great Friend To me.. And.. Fortunately I have one and He's right here in gendou XDD  |

a great friend is someone who is sympathetic and kind, but can still be straight with you if you need solid advice. But most importantly i think that a true friend doesn't change when there are hot girls around. I don't change my behaviour to try to impress girls, and it annoys the hell out of me when other people do. Sometimes i see friends slagging each other off to each other's faces to try to make girls laugh, yeah, really intelligent and impressive guys.
