Anyone see the only episode of this "ONA", Candy Boy yet? Not only is this a single episode series, but it's more like an OVA series (like FLCL). Besides it being short episode wise, it's short in length as well, only being about ten minutes long or so. I saw the first and only ten minute episode just now, and I wanted to see more out of this. Not sure if this will be made into a real series, but I really want it to be a 12+ episode series! I want to know more about Yuki and Kanade, and I want to see MORE characters as well. The first and only episode had three characters: the two sisters (Yuki and Kanade) and a girl who likes Kanade, Sakuya. Nobody else really introduced, in fact nobody was... I think this could be a nice anime if there were more episodes. The ending is is also a nice song, so I'll wait for info on that later on... But yeah, I just saw it now and realized it was so short. Then I searched some information on it and found out there's only one episode! Lame. D:

Candy Boy... i think ive seen that not long time ago... (hmmm *still thinking*) its a YURI ona right? it was so short that even the main characters were not introduce clearly... (right?)... LAME (1 episode only ^_^) |

Yeah, it's a yuri anime. The two main characters, Kanade and Yuki are sisters in love. They live together and are attending High School. That Sakuya girl is completely obsessed with Kanade. If you saw the "only" episode (literally), you see a quick shot of her home with all these pictures of Kanade up! (/OBSESION!) And yeah, the characters were introduced a bit fast. It took a while to figure out who was Yuki and who was Kanade. And even later in the episode, I thought Yuki was Sakuyo. Hmmm, there were a few more characters, their friends, but they weren't introduced at all. And yeah: one episode = lame. D: This title is fairly new and really recent. Not a lot of information is up anywhere and you can almost write your own description of it even. But yeah, I really want to hear more of the ending theme song. Hmm...

Well this single episode could be like the 'pilot' for a longer series to come. Yeah like you said there is very little info about it...i even checked the japanese homepage & not much is given other than characters & a brief story summary...& i mean brief XD There are a few single episode series that i've seen that don't become a full series mainly cause of not alot of publicity or fanfare....while others are cause of interest. Which category this one winds up as is anyones guess. I've seen my fair share of yuri anime & i personaly don't mind any of them...besides one of my all-time faves is a yuri series "Kannazuki no Miko". So hopefully maybe in the near future this series will be expanded...the animation looks very nice & so does the character designs. The premise looks interesting as well....probably another 'coming of age' anime if it is expanded.  |

I think the scene where Yuki and Kanade are crying at the school, was a bit rushed. If this was some sort of 12 episode series, you'd see that near the middle or later in the anime. But like we said before, a lot of things were rushed. It might've been rushed; not sure why it was so short though (ten minutes). This is an "ONA" now.

Well SchoolDays started as an ONA as well...though it was basically the first parts of the game that was used & different from this one. I guess we'll have to see if the creators decide to continue the story or leave it as a one-shot. |

Yeah man, it's always up to those guys over there, up there. XD I really believe this can be a nice anime if it becomes an actual anime.

Found a DVD version (with extended scenes) @ crunchyroll i cant watch it right now... you guys watch it and tell me what happen @.@ |

There's not much to the episode. It's not that long either, so you can watch it at any time. I agree that the ending song is pretty catchy.

Well like i told DAngel-san on May 2nd the contiuation of the series will air. Scheduled for 7 episodes which doesn't appear to be long enough for a TV series but that is what it is called according to the website & ANN. A little ways off before we get to see it but will be on my 'to watch list'. |

Well it was an ONA episode. The series might be some OVA or ONA type series as well, instead of something like a real regular one. FLCL, the six episode series, was originally labeled as an OVA, I think. Either way, it's short, I might not like it, I don't, but I must check it out. I hope they use both songs on MEILIN's ED singles album for Candy Boy.

hmm igot bored...saw this thread...saw the pic... then watched it ten minutes ago and... WOW...the story was simple,yet the characters and animation really got me hahaha i want more!hahaha cant wait for the rest... and kanade is hawt!hahaha |

I think that ONA episode was somewhat a "preview" episode. It was also like, ten minutes long or so, so it was probably just that. I do want to see the other stuff develop and I want to see the relationship grow. I wonder if there are any other characters. It should be a nice little series.

Saw the new episode for the series last night. Just like the ONA the episode is shorter than your average episode only 14 mins. The charm & character designs are just as good as always. Sakuya, Yukino, & Kanade are just as cute as ever. I'm starting to love Yukino's tantrum when Kanade pinches her cheeks. It's one of the most adorable moments in this anime. Sakuya is still a stalker, she's really funny at times in the episode. Only one episode so far but i'm loving what i'm seeing. The first episode does not have an opening song & the end song is different from the ONA. Pretty song though. |
