True Tears

Based off of a non-hentai romance PC game, original story though, supposedly OP is very refreshing and a nice change of pace compared to your typical poppy jpop/anisong. OP is 「リフレクティアã€(Reflectia) by Eufonius (same as Clannad) ED is a little bit more generic sounding, but follows a similar tone as the OP. Animation is very simple relative to a lot of other animes, filled with deformed characters. There was a little sad part at the very end of it...it's from the ep itself and some people might not notice, but it was a nice touch. ED is 「セカイノナミダã€(The World's Tear) by Aira Yuuki Really great animation quality which falls a little below that of Seirei no Moribito/Guardian of the Sacred Spirit, but hands down the best of what's been released this first week of Jan. Not quite sure what to make of the story, but to sum it up simply, it's more or less a story of adolesence with what appears to be a depressing undertone. Two of the 3(?) heroines have (not to sound cliche) some deep rooted emotional problems....not much on the third yet. It's not as heavy as H2O, but I can potentially see this being a little hard to stomach depending on the route it takes. Some romance aspects reared their head once in a while but not too heavy on that yet. With the exception of the rooster girl, all the characters are believable and down to earth. The antics of the parents are very similar to what my parents did when I was growing up. I think I'm going to enjoy this one quite a bit. Edit: Props to the studio for having a Volvo station wagon instead of your generic bmw/mercedes/honda/nissan/toyota :P |

I dLed episode one; the anime looks interesting and I might really like it. It's based on the game from Circus, who also did one of my favorite anime series EVER, D.C.! ♥♥♥ ------- |

I think 3~4 anime last week had significant potential in terms of a really well balanced production (story/bgm/characters/animation quality).... True Tears H2O Shigofumi Spice & Wolf 2nd ep of Spice & Wolf won't air until Tuesday morning i believe, so I can't comment on that, but I think TT definitively takes the cake by a significant margin, followed by Shigofumi for winter '08. Romance plot, and the story itself is a little on the slower side for those with short attention spans, but it keeps chugging along. Character development is gradual and in some instances, frighteningly real. In particular, if there was a narrative by Hiromi as to why she was acting the way she was, it would put this at the level of an average somewhat serious romance production, but through the animation, her actions, and the response(s) from the people involved convey her emotional situation just as well, if not better, than what words could ever do. This is one small aspect as to why this, imho, is such an amazing production. It's a little bit of a shame that it seems to still be a little bit of a hidden gem :P Add to that, while the IP is from La'cryma, it only uses the title "True Tears". Story/character/etc are all original. I would say this is a "must see" for those with a smidge of patience. |

True Tears (t.t.) is definitely on my favorite list already! (check meh profile~yilz~) It reminds you of D.C., a lot, and the game also had some help from CIRCUS. I saw episode one before I ate dinner today and I like the story thus far. Just like D.C.~ but instead of Otamaru, you get Raigomaru... and Jibeta. XD It's not a Harem anime like D.C. was, but there's the three main girls that'll get involved with Shinichiro: Hiromi, Aiko, and Noe. I might watch episode two after I shower tonight. I'm truly falling in love with this series already. ♥♥♥ ------- |

EDIT: omfg FMA got pushed out, DA~? wow XD EDIT 2: Just finished episode 1...and I have to say, i knew that I would love this. The animation is really beautiful, the story is pretty unique, and i LOVE the soundtrack...definitely on my fav list now. ^^ Just gotta update it~ Gonna watch ep. 2 after is finished dLing~! And, the OP is really beautiful :3 the ED too, if the lyrics were slightly better...I guess? I couldn't find the 'sad scene' in the ED, but I guess it's better if I don't' know it. |

Everyone knows by now that Hagane no Renkinjutsushi is one of my all time:life favorites. I still love it to this very day, so it's not forgotten at all. I prefer ten pretty cute girls on my profile rather than nine pretty cute girls with an European Fullmetal State Alchemist. XD But even so, everyone would probably think that's some uber big take out. D: Anyways, saw episode two and I'm about to go to bed cause I'm tired today. Starting to love Noe more and more, although there's still more to Hiromi and Ai. It seems Ai and Shinichiro have some alone time in the next episode, according to the preview. From the looks of that, she might also have feelings for Shinichiro, but I can't tell from the preview alone. Next episode I think airs on the 20th or so. I wonder what pain Hiromi is keeping stored within her from Shinichiro. And from Shinichiro's mom and dad everyday at breakfast, the household in general doesn't seem very lively. Busy, hard working dad, and mom who cares for son and makes delicious gohan~ Pretty normal, yet typical and calm. The animation for this series is very, very good. You can almost bring up Kyoto's animation because this anime's animation is very smooth and nearly similar in my opinion. Everything is more 'realistic', the students in the background aren't just background (like some wall painting or something). Everyone moves in this anime, which makes it more realistic, as well as other things that make it realistic. The artwork, is superb and I enjoy the character designs very much. I said it before somewhere, but the uniforms look similar to the ones used in SHnY. I highly look forward to episode three. More episodes = more love. [sidenote] [@Suzaku] You like any anime I like? Hmm, well... O.o` ------- |

I must say True Tears is a beautiful anime. Characters are well drawn and led with great OP music(Reflectia). It is truely one of my favorite romance anime for me and i hope it is one for others too. Triangle love and school romance anime, they are my favorites:). Truely it is interesting to see how Shinichiro will try to get his life through with 3 girls around him, Isurugi seems to be the closest one but this anime definitely might turn out different from what I think so far:P |

@ DA: I know...i was just surprised that it wasn't there anymore, that's all. XD I guess it does look funny with 9 girls, then this random alchemist. =P Hehe. I watched up to half of episode 2 a few days ago...mom made me go to sleep D: I gotta finish it! I'm still deciding which girl will be my fav character, cause nothing much has been said about two of them... The household is so cold ._. wouldn't want to live there ^^;; The animation is wonderful, one of the greatest I have ever seen! And I really agree with your on the backgrounds...in some anime, it looks like they're cardboard >_> or they all look the same XD SHnY? I never noticed that...gotta see that for myself XD Not any anime you like, DA XD Just saying that most of the stuff on your list, I love too. :P |

Finished episode three here, and there's a lot of bird food being left around for Shinichiro. I like the bond Shinichiro and Miyokichi has with Aiko. Found out he's going out with Aiko, but they're more like friends to me so it's hard to notice they're going out at times. From the preview in episode two, I thought the part with Aiko and Shinichiro next to the shrine was some kiss scene. For some reason in episode three, she kicks him in the knee. Guess she got mad, hearing about Hiromi again, so she gave him a good one on the shins (OUCH!). The part where Noe jumps out of the tree and supposively injures her leg was awkward. The scene afterwards though, with Shinichiro carrying Noe on his back, I thought that was cute. She has a really, really adorable voice. Almost like a like, yet cute and more mature. We find out Hiromi likes Noe's brother. To me, I think her true feelings are yet to be expressed in the series. I read a bit, and she's not really how she is at home; quiet and mostly isolated from the others. Shinichiro's mom really despises her for some reason. His father has that "Idon'tgiveacrap" type attitude about everything mostly... Episode three was nice. Can't wait for episode four! ------- |

Finally got to watch episode three. :) it was nice. I doubt Hiromi will continue to like Noe's brother throughout the series...I wonder who will end up with who (if it happens at all). So far, I still can't decide who my fav is, so it's on to the next episode when it comes out! XD |

This thread is dead =/ I shall revive! Anyone watch the fourth episode yet? I'm watching it right now... Looks like the relationships between the characters are getting confusing...Miyokichi likes Ai, Ai likes Shinchiro, Shinchiro likes Hiromi, Hiromi likes Jun (Noe's brother), and Jun likes....Noe? That's what I analyze from one scene in this episode. XD But I may be wrong, so don't sue me saying I spoiled the story or whatever @w@ But man, if that's true, then look at that long chain! The ending was funny :P Can't wait for ep. 5! EDIT: By the way, I watched episode 1 from Moetaku subs, episodes 2 and 3 from Ai-Doremi subs, and episode 4 from BakaWolf/m.3.3.w subs...And that one english line from the ED song is interpreted differently. XDD Moetaku --> "I'm telling a lie" Ai-Doremi --> "A tear in my life" BakaWolf/m.3.3.w --> "Until you're in my life" Soooo...anyone wanna clarify which is it exactly? Or is it something completely different? =P It sounds like "I'm telling a lie" to me, but I'm not sure. |

Episode's four ending was funny. "HAI~!?" As I see more of Aiko and Shinichiro, I'm starting to like her more and more. Noe is first, and Hiromi is last, although I don't want to put them in ranks like that, I love them all above 1st place... which is somehow possible!? Anyways, in this episode you see more from Aiko and some of her inner feelings relating to Shinichiro. She is going out with Miyokichi, but at the one place where they were eating, she said something which can almost be foreshadowing on why she's a bit skeptical on going out with Miyokichi. Her personality is to die for and she's a very cute girl, mentally and of course physically. Those red eyes of her can tell so many things, in which can relate to how her heart is feeling as well, in my personal opinion. Still, not a lot from Hiromi in this episode. Near the ending of episode four, you finally see her smiling and laughing. Something we haven't seen all series mostly yet, but Shinichiro finally did it. The way she was standing at his door late at night was something else as well. Does she like Jun, or my guess, have hidden feelings, strong feelings for that matter for the guy she's living with? Noe gets cuter... kawaii, kawaii, kawaii. =^-^= Right at the end of the episode, Jun formally introduces himself to Shinichiro at his house gate and tells him to go out with Noe. I wonder how this will make Hiromi and Aiko feel, since I think they really like/love him. [quedit] Suzaku, did you finally see the resemblance in uniforms yet? You kind of... stumbled away from that a bit back here. Also, 4 days it not dead for make a thread dead without any replies. XD ------- |

@ DA: Ai is an interesting girl...dunno why she got together with Miyokichi in the first place though, if she likes Shinchiro. I don't like Hiromi much yet, but I don't dislike her either (err.? o.O), but I guess I have to find out about her past first, and why Shinchiro's mom hates her so much. I doubt she really likes Jun, maybe just an excuse to hide her feelings. Noe is such an adorable girl~ i love how she sees Shinchiro as a replacement for Raigomaru (for now, lol), and gives him chicken feed. HA. It's not everyday you have someone's sibling telling you to go out with their sister/brother XD They probably do, since that's the normal plot for romance anime...it'd be nice if they didn't all like Shinchiro though, but it's nice to watch the development. :3 Yeah, I did. They are pretty similar...I forgot to comment about that. XD 4 days...well, it's dead enough for me. Plus, I had nothing else to do. =P |

You can comment on the Shana thread. Feeling lonely there. D: Anyways, back to true tears, the part where she actually ate the chicken feed was cute. Her face was "goofy", from what Shinichiro thought. =^-^= The cell phone thing with Hiromi at the end there was quite unexpected, too. ------- |

Kay, commented there XD Not very interesting to read anyways. I can't believe she actually ate it! "Goofy", or "cute" is right. =) I didn't know what she wanted with the phone at first...then I was like...HA. Funny!! XD On a sidenote, how m any series are you following right now DA? |

I don't think she actually ate it though. She did put it in his mouth, but I think she left it thre as she made that cute, goofy facial expression. You'll get sick if you ate that or something. D: ------- |

I like what that Isurugi Noe's grandmother said to her " let me take your tears to the sky, we can only take the tears from our dearest person " that is why she had not cry anymore cause his grandmother took her "namida" to the sky.
" let me take your tears to the sky so that you wont cry anymore"
