@kay you got typo there for skull man^^ well when you list it, there are some of my fave anime there TT(missed them alot and they deserve better point in rating) but for mushiuta, well the story itself is confusing (the anime got real sucks ending with no resolve over the problem) but i heard that the novel is good and popular in japan true tokyo majin gakuen is a good film tokko is good to bad they don't release the second season, i really looking forward to it TT

I was thinking of adding History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi and Kateikyoshi Hitman Reborn! to the list but i'm not so sure if they're underrated or not |

Since I'm very forgetful the only anime I can think about for now is Ranma~ I mean there aren't any good audience under it. I know it's kinda classic and old tebayo~ but so far this is my favorite ever since I was a child d: Moar animes to refresh my memories, plox.  |

Uah... Kay sure mentioned a lot... Most of my recommendation is already there like Manabi Straight or Gintama or... Potemayo ftw. We need more love to that little creature... Then i'll add Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu and Kaleidostar (not really sure about kaleidostar though) |

Well, in my opinion Solty Rei, Noein, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, and Now and Then: Here and Now are all A+ anime that are pretty underrated. Everytime my friends ask me what anime I like I always state those first and they're like, huh?

| I rather not have people take what I said the wrong way even though I oppose people who pass off bad Anime as underrated just because they are unknown. I mean come on, Coyote Ragtime? Nanatsuiro Drops? Saint October? Sure, they aren't well known and can be seen as "underrated" if you really want to use that word loosely, but again, it isn't the point of this topic. If the point of this topic is simply listing a bunch of crap (and I'm taking this word literally now), then I have failed. Anyways, enough said. You all can list whatever you want, just keep in mind why topics regarding mentioning underrated Anime exist: because it should be known for it's qualities. |

[@Kay] All of those are underrated? I've either been dLing a few titles off of that list, have already dLed some on that list, or will soon dL some on that list. A few titles on there I really loved from a few years back. Some are pretty new on there, or "recent" so it might take a bit, but yeah I still agree. I know a lot of guys would fall in love with Mayu from Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun! ♥♥♥ Not only that, the series had a GOOD ending, too! Hmm, would "Myself; Yourself" be underrated? The ending might not be so good, but the series [overall] was nice. I loved it anyways...

Nodame cantabile! this is one of those rare musical animes that we rarely come across with. it captured my thoughts just like how honey and clover did. So far, the manga is pretty popular to many people but the anime is not. it's pretty disappointing since the anime has lots of good classical music, from orchestra to piano to violin etc. i can't help but enjoy the good music and the hilariousness the story gives. |

@DA, yep, Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun! is definitely underrated, from a few blogs I read...most said the storyline is pretty much follows your average love stories with nothing much that is new...the same goes for the ones that I've listed. I see lots of blogs underrating those anime whilst a few saying it's good and stuff. (yea, i spent most of my time watching anime and reading them in blogs via google, despite only having time to surf the net at night or weekends). There might be some on my list that others will disagree though, but the anime I listed down, I noted that they doesn't have much people talking about it either in the forums I visited or much people downloading |

Yeah I would expect you to know what's what since you've watched a TON of anime! I wish I had the time to watch that much, even if it was just at night and the weekends together, but I have other stuff to do. So much to do and cannot fit in 100% of anime with 100% of other = 200% total (NO!). GITS might be a bit underrated or people just don't get what the anime is about or understand any content from it. I wonder what titles would come up if someone made an "Overrated Anime" thread. Someone should do that, to edit this thread to join the two together.

Da Capo, too? Wow, I thought about it a few times but since it was so good I thought everyone thought so too, or a lot of people. Almost done with D.C.S.S., I hope people change their opinions about it. Me though, I love it. Probably going to be one of my favorites series of all TIME! Haven't seen Strawberry Panic yet, need to re-dL all those episodes again since I lost them. I read a blog's review on the anime a few days ago actually and they mentioned similar things you explained here. Speaking of the cute Konata signature, you think Lucky Star is underrated? People compare it to Azumanga Daioh a lot, and I'd agree too, but not completely when they say something like "it's just as bad as Azumanga Daioh." It's still pretty new I guess and maybe people need a bit more time to adjust to it...?

Wait, Azumanga is underrated? No way...Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star is like the best random anime I've seen. Da Capo and DCSS is also superb and Da Capo II is pretty good. Strawberry Panic shouldn't even be underrated. Sure it has a few things similar to other love story anime, but it has its own appeal as well Also, To Heart is not that bad, but To Heart ~Remember My Memories~ answered my expectations of the series (i really love To Heart RMM^^), and it's still quite underrated...I wonder why lots of good anime are always underrated... |

No I never said Azu was underrated, lol. Hell no it's not, at least in my view. I've seen the box I own like, four times and I'ma see it again sometime... soon, maybe? ^_^ I don't hear much of either anime on other forums and websites. I hear tiny stuff about Lucky Star, but nothing that's like "OMFG"~ish, y'know? So D.C.II is good, eh? I'm dLing the series right now, but I'ma finish D.C.S.S.... last episode of that, and I'm finish it right now after this. D.C.II.S.S. is coming out, I think this year, too! /shw33t~ A few friends who saw ToHeart said it was good, yet seems underrated to me as well. I'm not sure why a lot of good titles are underrated. Maybe you need like, major titles that mostly capture the majority or the world or something... I'unno, but it's pretty hard to deal with sometimes. And I can't think of many titles that really grab the world. RuroKen was good, maybe that? I think Air Gear might be underrated. Despite the huge cliff hanger like there's no tomorrow, the anime was seriously awesome! The manga is holding in pretty strong as well, so future episodes are still possible in the next few years or so (I hope!).
