Eureka 7 confusion

I watched Eureka seven but im still confused on some stuff.. What was the summer of love? and what's with them going to Earth? I thought they were allways on Earth! they write Japenese..thats a country on Earth.. =o And What was Dewy's goal? Everytime he talked it was some nonsence about wanting to "purify the world"..Also what was the scub coral? is it humans..or Corrolians? errr if you can anser any plz do because i really didnt get it.. maybe they answerd it allready,if they did i defenetly missed it xD  |

The First Place you should check for answers is the Wikipedia entry. Many Many Years Ago, the "Coral" appeared and landed on the planet from space. The coral, in its effort to learn how to communicate, started to absorb the objects around it, animate or inanimate. The humans quickly fled the planet in search of a new one to make home on. Many years later, they find one habital and land on it. This is the new planet, and they make home on it. What they don't know, is that this new alien planet they are on is actually the coral (which has covered over the entire earth), so they are in essence right back where they started. Dewy (I think he knew it was Earth) wanted to "purify the world" or purge it of the Corrolians, so that the humans could re-claim what was theres. Eureka and Anemene are Corrolians created by the Coral in order to attempt communication with the human life forms. This is a brief summary from what I remember, and may or may not be correct. |

and that one thing wrong ^^ anemone is not a corralian instead she was a human child then the government experiment with them thus she had those eyes that different with eureka, and she need drug supply to keep her in the level of corralian if you saw the ending, there's a research facility that hold many child and explode, that's where they experimenting anemone and many other, dewy thought that anemone is not suitable anymore since she got more and more mental unstable

Yeah, you're right Eureka 7 is really confusing! It has a lot of stuff that doesn't really advance the plot, all I understood is the earth is invaded by the scub coral thing and earth changes causing the trappar to appear. Eureka is a Scub Coral- I also don't know how she came to have a human appearance. Dewey's goal is to eliminate the Scub Coral, right? But he is also one of them! I really didn't get the story! I'm also puzzled why Renton and Eureka stayed in the moon (is it the moon)! aNEMONE IS NOT A cORALLIAN!She's a human who had been experimented by the government!  |

@navarr About the coral that came from earth, yep your right about that. Just imagine it like an asteroid that falls in to the earth. You have an error about anemone. hina28 is right, Anemone (not Anemane) is just a guinea pig experimented to become an artificial human-based coralian just like Eureka. What's a Scub coral? The Scub Coral is the earth's crust or the earth's surface itself, notice that when renton, Eureka and the kids entered underground and found themselves in a beach, that is the real surface of the earth. What is the first summer of love? The First Summer of Love is an event that took place ten years ago (before the start of the series) when the Amita Drive and the Nirvash was first used. During the activation of the amita drive in the nirvash, an enormous, non-stop generation of Trapar waves resulted, and the confusion and chaos that resulted from this disaster sparked conflicts around the world, leading to civil wars that left tower states completely destroyed. What is Dewey's goal? Well, its obvious, "he wants to purify the world." The question is, how does he do it? At first, Dewey unlocked the Agetha Plan, a theory proposed by Adroc Thurston, Renton's father that the Scub Coral is an intelligent, sentient life form that is trying to communicate with humanity, as well as the plan for humanity to seek out co-existence. His first aim is to gain public support by associating himself with Adroc Thurston, despite Dewey Novak's true aims being directly opposite to the aims of co-existence proposed by the original Ageha Plan. Then afterwards, during the battle inside the real world, Dewey told holland his true intentions. His reason of purifying the world is that he wants to protect the human's dignity. "Dewey's Explanation" "10,000 years ago the peace of planet earth was shattered by the Scub Coral. Individual bodies have lost and human dignity was destroyed pass the point of no return. What was the reason of this planet to move on after recieving such terrible treatment?" He revealed to Holland his secret, that he has an Compact Drive embedded to his chest like norb. Unfortunately, his compact drive is more like a dead man's switch because the compact drive binds him and the World. If he dies, the wold will also die. Dewey foresaw that Eureka or Anemone would become the replacement Scub Coral command center in the event of the existing command center's destruction. As a result, he had special collars attached to both girls that would be activated upon his death. This results in the activation of the collars's self destruct sequence that is meant to be relayed throughout the Scub Coral should either girl merge with it. That's all I know about Dewey's goals. But still, its confusing. Im Still amazed about the accomplishments made by this Anime: 2006 Tokyo International Anime Fair: Best Television Series Best Screenplay (Dai Sato) Best Character Design (Ken'ichi Yoshida) 2006 Anime Expo SPJA Awards: Best Television Series Best Female Character (Eureka) Anime Insider Magazine: Best DVD Series of the Year (2006) An upcoming Eureka 7 movie will be released in Fall or Winter 2008 I hope its not the same as Vandread the movie that only summarizes the 2 seasons put together. What I'm hoping for is that the characters in New Wave/New Vision will be included in the movie. I wish Sumner Sturgeon will be cooler to his skills.   Follow the road you believe in --> |
