Alright, I guess I should try starting another RP. So wanna know what it's about? Sure! Read on! If not... why are you lookin' here? (this was the original banner screen, I was too lazy to edit it to the current title -_-)  Welcome To Point Luna! this cheesy text impersonating a game manual will introduce you to this game. Point Luna is a Tactical Squad RP (maybe not all that tactical). An also a bit of an experiment to see how cooperative RPing can be in this field. Each individual member is a key to victory. In battle, you will have hack into systems, board enemy ships and destroy key components. Though a majority of your career is expected to be amongst space on your ship, You may even find yourself in the middle of a ground war going up against an enemy armed with high tech weaponry with only your squad to depend on. Space is a big place indeed, will you be ready to adventure in the vastness of it all? Story: The Year is 2180, the booming times of of space exploration in the solar system is over. Mars is inhabited with a growing fully functional space colony, and Research Space Stations go as far as Pluto. Going to places as far as Jupiter can be reached in a few months. This new era has come to be known as the age of space colonization. However, the vast emptiness of space has yet to be governed, and for that reason, corporations built their own combat ships to protect their convoys and space stations. As of recently, you accepted a job application to serve aboard a combat ship of the CSR research corporation as a Marine. Your first assignment, a light corvette known as the Hawkeye. Your first trip will take you to Saturn, where our story begins. All seems normal, but the chain of events about to occur will lead to consequences far beyond this solar system! So, there ya go lads, though it seems rather bland at the moment, there are a few surprises in store: (think, a wormhole that takes everyone to ****) Anyways, nextly important, are the rules: 1: No Godding 2: No being a bad sport (one part of this being not turning your guns on your own allies!!!) 3: Try not to overpost unless there's only a couple people RPing. (which I feel may be likely T-T) 4: And also read and follow everything in here. Pay good attention to the classes. 5: Remember to get a good read though the RP master's guide at least once please. 6: Keep in mind that the characters are all average Joe material. Sure, one or two can have a small talent or gift, but don't make them like war hardened veterans. 7: Know your squad! As hard as an objective this RP may be trying to achieve, you cant win the war all by yourself! 8: Any Q's? PM Meh! 9: If you're gonna drop or be gone for a while, drop and occ or pm me. (also note general post style will be script style) Requirements: (You can have a max of 3 human characters, Excluding passers by or side people) Name: You know what this is... Age: This too... Gender: This as well... Pic: Description or picture. Class: Choose one from below. (read the "explanation" of gaming elements first) Weapon: Choose one from below. (Note that you get ALL the equipment in the 'other equipment'. Depending on the class you choose.) Rank: (everyone else starts off as "R-1" (Equivalent to a private)) Bio: I don't have to spell this one out. But, you can try including why you joined(into the space marines). Also, as people to join, why not type in your relationship with your squad mates? Please note that a part of the RP's overall story also DOES come from the drama(?) of this squad. You can try pming around players to see what kind of relationships they all got (that's called, using your available resources!) Okay, time to explain the gaming elements. As said before this is a squad based tactical RP. (wow) Think Battlefield or even better Brothers in Arms. You'll choose your class, weapon, and whatnot. Each individual class is a key part in victory. Be sure to post! Ya cant leave that door sealed, or that poor wounded soldier bleeding!!! Classes: (I tried to keep them balanced, if ya find it hard to choose which stuff, then I have done my job...) There will be at least two of each, any empty spots will be filled by characters controlled by me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gunner: A basic soldier class, has the largest assortment of basic weaponry. Weapons: BA-20 SMG: A submachine gun with accuracy from a short to medium range, comes equipped with a scope. HAW-15 MG: A machine gun basically made for pinning down the bad guys, it's belt fed with an ammo drum attached to the bottom. Accurate at short range. ER-04 BSMG: An energy based weapon, it's function is similar to that of a submachine gun. Though relatively weak it makes up for in it's high firing rate. Also the battery ammo allows it to carry many more rounds. ~Other Equipment~ Rail gun: A disposable weapon that fires a super concentrated Beam of energy, it is capable of going though several men and even thick armor. Marines only carry 3 shots. UA-01 Pistol: Standard Sidearm. Weak and with a slow rate of fire, but has unlimited ammo and no need to reload. Gernades: A ball shaped explosive activated by pressing down on the top of it, it ha a 3 second fuse time. Soldiers usually only carry 3. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tech Engineer: An engineer capable of recharging armor suits and breaking into doors or hacking. They specialize in anything technical related, as well as demolitions. Weapons: TEG-02: A submachine gun made for engineers. Light and reliable. Though it's weak and obsolete in comparison to most other weapons. GL-01: A grenade launcher, it launches grenades with a 4 second fuse. Grenades have a sort of bounce to them, which makes them good for getting behind or around obstacles. This sacrifices how far the gun can fire. To include, it has a slow rate of fire, it's heavy, and slow to reload. ~Other Equipment~ UA-01 Pistol: Standard Sidearm. Weak and with a slow rate of fire, but has unlimited ammo and no need to reload. T-15 Multipurpose Torch: A torch capable of cutting though thick armor and is also able to recharge armor. It's best for when you deal with a sealed door. PHS: A small calculator sized electronic device used for hacking. A trained engineer can use it to turn a electronic systems in their favor via an captured console. HE-12 PE: Next generation plastic explosive. It can blow though most anything, and sticks and handles like sticky clay. When you cant beat the door, blow through it. Detonator: Detonates the HE-12 remotely once they've been placed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Medic: Anyone can tell how important he is. Able to heal minor wounds on spot, or save someone from the brink of death. It's best not to overlook this guy. Weapons: BA-20a SMG w/ Flash Grenade: A submachine gun with accuracy from a short to medium range, comes equipped with a scope. To include, it holds a single Flash bang Grenade that leaves the opponents around where it hit's temporarily unable to do anything, allowing for an escape. BA-20a SMG w/ Smoke Grenade: A submachine gun with accuracy from a short to medium range, comes equipped with a scope. To include, it holds a single Smoke Grenade that leaves the area near it hits shrouded in smoke, making the enemy unable to see you or greatly decreasing their accuracy, allowing for an escape. BA-20a SMG w/ Launch Turret: A submachine gun with accuracy from a short to medium range, comes equipped with a scope. To include, it is equipped with a launchable automated turret that permanently sticks to a surface and fires on nearby enemies. It's great for causing a diversion/ picking off the wounded, but it's mainly a defensive weapon. ~Other Equipment~ UA-01 Pistol: Standard Sidearm. Weak and with a slow rate of fire, but has unlimited ammo and no need to reload. Medic Torch: Working much like a torch, and looks like one too, it can heal minor wounds, or sterilize someone who've been seriously wounded. In the case if the seriously wounded, its up to the Medic's skill to keep them alive. O2 Shot: A shot that allows the body to store in much more oxygen instantly. A minute of normal breathing, then sucking in and holding one's breath, can allow a marine to hold it for 30 minutes. S Shot: A shot that allows for the body to move and react several times faster for a short duration, be warned that you'll be slowed down after a while after using it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Saber Warrior: Close Range Combat Specialists, They have increased abilities in in terms of agility, sword and martial arts. And on occasion can even deflect a bullet. They do however suffer from a lack of armor for the sake of staying lightweight. Being the closed ranged guys they are, they are also the only class with shotguns. Weapons: CR-Particle Shortsword: A shortsword sized blade. It's particle reaction allows it to do a bit more damage to armor than a normal gun. CR-Particle Sword: A Sword Sized blade. Curved in similarity to a Japanese Katana. It has the basic idea of the shortsword version, can slow down a person, so a SW wielding this should be mindful of using cover when charging an enemy. SG-02: A shotgun, it is fed by a clip, but still requires the cocking action in combat. Though inefficient at long range, it's certainly deadly at short range or at groups of enemies. It also must be noted, it has a heavy recoil, which also affects it's firing rate. ~Other Equipment~ UA-01b Pistol: The Standard UA pistol modified for the Saber Warriors, it's been modified to carry more ammo and to have a faster firing rate. UA-01R: Modified UA-01 pistol with burst-fire mechanism. Comes with a folding grip for increased stability(but sacrifice the usage of knife in CQC).CQC-compatible weapon. ~Misc Equipment~ LC mk.II:A miniature 4-legged tank created based on actual Land Cruiser.Equipped with a PHS for mobile hacking.Still in developing stage.May come with more equipment later on. SC mk.II:A miniature helicopter cruiser created based on actual Sky Cruiser.fires like the real thing,but not as powerful as the real SC.Like LC,still in developing stage. ~Extras~ Dont Know What Those Letters in the Weapon Names Are? ~Summaries~ Day to Day: The Hawkeye just arrives to a space port in Saturn. Before they depart, F-squad brushes up on some of their combat maneuvers. Nika leaves the others in the training exercise in a bad mood. Saturn Space Port: The group finally gets to take in veiws other than the interior of the hawkeye. Most searching for food, they decide to do some exploring until they're called back to the Hawkeye. Battle on the Rings: In the middle of their leave, the space station is attacked by an unknown force.With grate hate, F-squad returns to the Hawkeye, gears up, and prepares to engage the enemy in combat. The Saturn Catastrophe: The battle outside of the Space Station leads to disaster as one of the mysterious ships crashes directly into the station and explodes, taking the entirety of the station with it. Suddenly, F-Squad as well as the rest of their task force is thrown into the quagmire of a major political incident. ~The F Squad~ Commander: R-4 Hayashiki Nika Gunners: Diaz Brandon Lock A. She's antagonized by that fact, she herself being a veteran of the recent Mars Incident. Nonetheless, her train of thought is that making them work harder makes em mature faster, question is, will the recruits be able to stand her "daily exercise"? Though she's hard on her men, she only hopes that training will increase the chances they'll be able to survive. Surprisingly, she seems to prefer her pistol as her basic weapon over anything else. surprising for a Saber Warrior. Name: Brandon Diaz Age: 19 Gender: Male Pic: Lookin' Class: Gunner Weapon: BA-20 SMG Rank: R-4 Bio: A recruit from The Western Coast of the United Stated, he joined the CSR soon after collage. Having a degree in history, he always goes on talking about events, historical and present. Making him a bit talkative. Nika once told him, "I think you're in the wrong job, why don't you go ahead and depart at the Mars Colony?" He's not expecting to have to do any real combat. ~To new Rpers~ With All the Kindness of my heart I'll message you a couple times if you're doing something wrong or unfair, you're new so you'll probably make mistakes here and there. Name: Suigetsu Nakamura Age: (CLASSIFIED) Gender: Male Pic: Short dark brown hair, reddish brown eyes, wears custom black armor and battle helmet in combat. Class: Saber Warrior Weapon: CR-Particle Sword Other Equipment: Custom UA-01B Pistol Rank: R-1 Bio: A skilled Saber Warrior of the marines, joining F Squad as a experieced recruit. He himself was a fresh recruit before the recent Mars Incident, making him more experieced than the average recruits. Nonetheless, he is all too familiar with Nika's "daily exercise" having have worked with her before. He is loyal to Nika and would take a bullet for her. He knows some Kenjutsu moves and implements them in combat. He knows how to make the best of a tight situation and is always aware of his surroundings. Friends with Saber, Key and Renma. Protective of Konoe because of her "Can Run Faster than A Comet when faced with terrifying obstacles".

Rank: R-1 Bio: teenager that wanted some action but in a good way or so it seems, he join the marine just because it said to be the best army... he like challenge but not letting it goes to his head, he rather cold-headed in many situation, analyzing first then react but sometime react then analyze later... he a good subordinate, listen to the commander order but sometime he question the order if he find it wrong... nonetheless he's a good soldier, a newbie, and have a strong will to learn

(@ Sagara: Yes, that's true. Nika is the only character (in F Squad) that starts off with a higher rank, since she commands the squad.) @ All: I forgot to mention this, the "other equipment" you get all of them (depending on your class). You only had to choose your primary weapon. ^^' The other equipment comes in as part of the "Kit" that comes with the class you choose. |

@ Shot: Yeah, I think It's already a good amount of players. Though I needed at least 2 of each class, I suppose I'll have to fill those with NPCs. Sadly, I got school right about now, so I'll have to fill out some other important things before we start. @ Snake: Ship to ship combat is usually boarding the enemy spacecraft. (and we're talking about ships that are usually bigger than a couple international space stations) So oftentimes it's close quarters. Long Range weapons become available when the situation calls for it. @ Sagara: Te thing about it is that most everyone from F squad are fresh from boot camp. With the influx of new cadets into the Marine program, there where only a few experienced officers available to command them. (Maybe you guys could start working out on... relationship wise? (haha, I'm not talking about anything weird! Just refer to Demonbae's bio!) Technically you're all supposed know one another. We might be able to cut down on introduction time and get on with the story before intros drag along... >.> But that's just a suggestion. :3 (or you can just go look for those description pictures... you're choice minna-san!) On another note: There are also a few things that I'll explain later on as we go on. (like about the rechargeable body armor suits, an whatnot.) Most people are usually baffled on why she joined, even her own squad. She also has a unconquerable fear of men, which lead to a recent incident of her knocking out Brandon out cold. Ren is usually hanging around her, trying to keep her out of trouble. Ren is usually the only one who can keep her from breaking and running. Name: Ren Bluesky Age: 22 Gender: Female Description: Lookin' Class: Tech Engineer Weapon: TEG-02 Rank: R-1 Bio: A girl with a rather curious name among a squad with an assortment of curious names and nicknames, she hails from the Mars colony, and joined shorty after the Mars Incident. She's what keeps Konoe from running off in the middle of a firefight (as seen in simulations) After getting to know the recruits in her squad, it would seems she and Konoe are the "Twig that has yet to become a branch" As the Hawkeye's Captain said. She has skills in engineering, seeing her father worked as a mechanic on the colony. One of her skills is being able to understand the workings of something she's never even seen before with even just a quick look over. (hehe, gotta balance out the genders no?) |

@Ugopetamia>Well,I guess you're right,bud.Well,CQCs can be in the form of hand-to-hand battles,not necessarily requires a weapon for that.Of course,it's extremely risky to do that unless you get close enough without alerting the enemies.Neckbreaker,for instance,kills enemy instantly with bare hands by breaking their neck off.There's more to it,though. |

Well then, lets begin I guess... ^^' Prologue ~CSR Corvette Hawkeye, Bridge~ Captain: *sighs* Captain's log, It's been three months... we've finally made it to the Saturn space station. Accompanying us was the two frigate ships. Despite the long journey, the two captains could talk up a storm for days on end. As humerous as it was for a while, I found myself sick of their squabbling hours afterward. We are abot to dock at the station, and intend to allow for a week if not a month's worth or R and R. End, captains log. ~Hawkeye, Living Quarters~ "It had been a couple months of long trip to saturn. A lot of the new people, myself included, couldn't help but be annoyed by the entire thing." *in the living quarters, a orange haired woman with shot hair hurriedly packs away various items into a rather small bag* Ren: *a long haired woman with red hair stands behind her with her hands at her hips* Konoe! Why didn't you do that earlier!? Konoe: I'm sorry! I didn't have enough time! "Okay, those two girls over there are, by height, Konoe and Ren. Those two tend to be hanging around one another a lot. Konoe is like a lost little puppy hanging onto her master" Ren: We're been talking about this for weeks now! You could've easily done this all those hours you spent napping! "...Or maybe a big sister?" Konoe: What do you mean napping? Hayashaki-san worked me to death! *nwarby, a spikey, black haired young man reads through a copy of the SOL Times* Brandon: Interesting... so the corporations over at mars are taking about making an alliance... *one a nearby table, a schedule marks today as the day they get to the station, and the day they get an inspection* Konoe: Wahhh~! *slides down and knells on the floor* I dont want to have to run a mile around the ship again~! Brandon: *looks up from a holograph generated paper* Then why dont you focus on that rather than crying about it? Ren: Dont talk to her like that Diaz! "Alright, so Ren is like Konoe's protective big sister..." Brandon: tch... *looks up at the ceiling and yells out* HEY! EVERYONE, YOU PEOPLE DONE CLEANING UP FOR INSPECTION OR ARE YOU ALL STILL SLEEP IN YOUR BUNKS? Konoe: Maybe they're already at the space station... ~Private David Charles~ (Saturn Space Station--Bar) "Sho, I'm just shtanding dere and deshe 3 big guysh come charging meh like dey can take meh on, well lemmee tell joo, nobody on dat sheep budderd meh whole whay home." David was explaining rather extravagently to a pretty, also inebriated woman. She was buying every word of it. "But, but, don't dell nobuddy, you shee, I wush confined for shum shilly reashon and dey made it shh, confidenshul." Soon after David was finished with the story, another shipmate came and grabbed David. "You shee dhey a dooin id agin, shee you shweet ding!" David called back, the girl's face red, from both the story and alchohol. David was dragged to the showers and shoved in a stall and the water turned on full cold. "Oh meh god, what in dah heck wus that for." David tried to launch himself out of the shower but slipping and landing on the ground. "Umm, are you okay David?" "ZzZzZzZz" Shipmate drags David to living quarters drops him on his bunk and shoves him an aspirin. "you better be up by the time to go" the only answer was drool and snoring. [I dont mean this as joke just David's personality]
